Hi Sweet Friends, Today I am sharing a spice mix for one of my favorite warming beverages for when I feel a cold coming on. making the spice mix in advance and keeping it in the pantry makes this easy to prepare at a moments notice. And given all the cold weather that we have been experiencing lately this is nice beverage to enjoy anytime! Love, Mary

Thank you for this sweet Mary. I have had a horrible migraine all week. So bad it prevented me from doing school all week with my children. Which I guess is ok since I still don't have all our curriculum together. I've been winging it for the last week. I guess that's the beauty of homeschool. This morning I woke up with a sour stomach and another headache. So I decided I wanted to try your golden milk recipe, minus the cloves since I'm allergic. I have to say it smells amazing! Even my finicky eater who turns his nose up at everything said it smelled good. I made it with local honey and added a little bit of vanilla to mine. I may go back and another tsp of cinnamon to the mix. I love cinnamon. I'm only about halfway through my cup and I'm already feel better. ❤

I don't like drinking milk but I do love tumeric tea. I originally had it in Yamang Bukid organic instant herbal blend that had tumeric, ginger, peppermint, cynura procumbens, sambong, banaba, pandan, lagundi, lemongrass, brown sugar, and wild honey in it. It's a product of the Philippines. It kept me more alert and kept me up longer than coffee does.

I make my own tumeric capsules. Take we a day. When I fractured my ancle, the Dr. gave me a prescription for oxycodone...I told him to keep it, I would only need my tumeric😁. And that's what I did...I also rubbed my comfry salve on it twice a day. I only took a few tylenol when I first fractured it..I think it was a shock reaction..lol

As an Indian who uses Turmeric in everyday meal , it’s important that you don’t consume raw turmeric - food industry is never going to tell you that because they need to sell ..
Atleast lightly roast it or boil it and consume in the form of tea or turmeric milk .
Always add dash of black pepper to make the bioavailability and absorption of turmeric in your body .
Also turmeric is heaty so don’t overdo

It’s called piperine, I think. Also I heard that turmeric is better absorbed if eaten with fat, such as an avocado.

Make sure your raw honey is well filtered.. propolis is a sensitizing agent, and you can develop an allergy to it. I learned that from research after I DID!

Why didnt you add black pepper to activate the curcumin in the tumeric? Its the most ingredient? Also ginger conflicts with tumeric hun. Ginger stimulates you metabolism, tumeric slows it.
