I had that same whine on my 2007 and it was not the power steering making the noise. The serpentine belt tensioner pulley bearing and the other pulley for the belt on the opposite side. When the bearings go bad they whine just like a power steering pump or alternator. I had the mechanic check out the pulleys before putting in the pump in and that was it. I had the pulleys and a new belt installed for $280. They wanted $490 to install the power steering pump. It sound great now. its perfect. Hope that helps.
Whine should be the tensioner pulley , or a old bearing I had the same issue and had a loud whine , replaced fan clutch, solenoids, and process of elimination of all pulleys and bearings. Tensioner Pulley sounds like the issue
If you got them from Amazon do what I did. Get some clear silicone and go around the seam of the headlight. Let it dry and you will never have the problem again.
I own a 2008 f150 and i put 35 inch tires on it, the tire sensor was not blinking at all for a year or so, and now it just will not go off and my tires are completely fine,.
Probably need to reprogram the tire sensors. Buy the module on Amazon for about $20 and reset them yourself. Plenty of videos in RUclips show how to do it.
Unfortunately they do tend to have issues when removing sparkplugs as they like to break off, but warming up the engine a bit before service should help, also the oil passages were too small when designed so the OEM oil pump just is too weak to give adequate oil flow and if you do not perform RELIGIOUS oil changes, you will end up with issues, and may need a timing job eventually, but after a good quality timing kit and a melling high flow oil pump is installed, damn near bullet proof engines. It's all about maintenance and care. Now this is mainly for the 3 valve motors, 2v had is own issues as well though.
I plan on buying my uncles 2006 f150. Garage kept with 135k miles. He hasn’t had any major issues. I only wanted to use it on the weekends are vacations if we need the extra room. Still worth buying?

The back tailgate fell off on it this past summer and I was done with it. Sold it to the junkyard and surprisingly got $750 for it! Still ran but just didn’t wanna buy a gate

Drill a small hole down in the recessed area of inner corner.
