The mum is not sitting on the second egg,got both eggs still in the cadge,do I need to get a heat pad ect , will they still hatch,still not sure what to do or just leave them to it.
Hey, I have a question! I rescued finch eggs and the babies are developing. I have NO idea what to do with them when they hatch! can I use a syringe at day 1? Or is it too big? Also, After they hatch, what temperature and humidity should the incubator be at? I have a professional chicken egg incubator. Please help!
Wolf Girl Make sure to keep them in a warm place at around 20-30C. Look for pet shops for food to buy. As the finch is developed make sure you buy Millet AS TREATS not all the time and most of the time but Foreign Finch.
this is bad because I'm only at my dads on Wednesdays and some I'll message the weekend and my zebra tail finch hade eggs IDK how long ago are they able to take care of the newborns once they hatch? cause mime layedc3 eggs
So, I just got a zebra finch from the pet store and I named it Latte. We didn't know until after the day we got it, we found out that Lattes a female. And I already have 2 male zebras. The males are separated and the first male I got is already in a relationship with Latte. So I guess I just need to be aware of them mating and I'm looking for videos on how to take care of zebra finches.
I have 3 babies with feathers and the mom pushes them out of the nest. They are quite big and fluffy. Will they eat on their own now? Do I put back in the best or just treat them like adults now?
Lili P. They sit on them for about a week and after that they don't tend to sit on them. If they don't sit on them at all that means they have abandoned the nest. Have you been looking in the nest or moving the cage at all. This disturbs them causing the parents to leave

ivanwesteurope if you want baby finches get nest boxes and offer them things like hay to build their nest at the bottom of the cage

Helen Vance the mom will do that but they will keep feeding them until they learn to eat by themselfs
