this was a lot of help because i had a pair of 4 baby finches hatch and the 2 youngest finches witch were about less then 3 mounths old trying to raise them and they sadly died so we brang the baby birds in to hand rear them with our baby cockatiel so yay :c we are running outa food for them
How cute 😘💓! Zibra finches stages are explaining beautifully from growth until they become friendly ! They are lovely ☺️ and superbly talented birds by nature and love this video 👍❤️
The parent finches regurgitates partially digested food to the chick's mouth. That is not just seeds. Finch diet includes so many items. What this to know the suitable food for finches. ruclips.net/video/ZcM5SlqOfW0/видео.htmlsi=A7Hk13cfCrUojHcX
I wanted to have a 3 weeks old finch to hand feed them so they would be hand tamed. But I only can get 4 weeks old one. Will I be able to feed it or hand tamed it?
4th week is weaning period. You can feed them chops sprinkled with seeds or millets. Keep a small portion in your hand and show it to the bird. Interact with the bird but don’t force.
You don't have to take the nest, just pick the baby carefully. Hold it close to you as it wiggles a lot 😁 If you interact with the Chick more it will get bonded easily
How often did she fly from your hand as you were training her? I took babies from their nest and held them from about 8 days old. when they were 2 weeks old they begin to fly from my hand. I wasn't expecting that.
Hi joyce.. sorry i missed your message.. Finches will not sit in out arms for a long time like other birds. They love to fly around. But once they are tamed surely they will come back to you as they trust you and they are comfortable with you. Offer them food in your palm they will come and have it from your hand. needs a lot of patience. Surprisingly my one finch is like a baby.. she is having "i am human syndrome" i think. haha she is with me most of the time when she is out of the cage..i will upload taming of my another finch soon dear. Stay connected to the channel
Usually parents feed the babies. Sometimes when number of babies are more there is a cha ce that some babies will get less food only. The more active ones will get nore food. In such cases you can take the baby out and feed to save em 😊
Yes. You can make them semi tamed if you try with patience love and constant interaction. Example they will fly to you, eat from your hand and all. But kissing and stepping up is not that easy to teach if it is an adult bird . My finch is a cuddle bug as I hand raised him
Please help....i just had 2 baby zebra finches jump out of the nest today. They are 20 days old. WHEN can i start to take them out of the cage to hold and tame them? Thanks
I started taking them out from 20th day. But you need to keep them back in the cage until it gets weaned. You can interact with the bird regularly, they love to cuddle. Keep fresh chops and veggies sprinkled with seeds in the cage. You can offer it from your hands too. Constant interaction and love can do magic ❤️✨️
@@ShabnaFazilHabeebShabusVlog thank you so much for your kindness to help me. My finch chicks are just 20 days old. Today was the first day i held them and tried to feed them but this is the problem...THEY CAN FLY...LIKE AN ADULT! By the time i catch them they are already afraid...its just terrible. I dont like to scare any animal. I see you holding your birds on day 25 ...i guarantee you mine will dart across the room to the highest place in the house. I have to stand on furniture to catch them. So i dont know what to do. They arent weaned...their parents still feed them but they wouldnt eat the food i had even though it was the right temperature etc ..what is your advise please. Blessings to you
Gradually only it is possible. Baby is a fledgling. Surely it will try to fly. Approach gently hold it and massage the head, call her name, say "kiss kiss/ gimme kiss" and kiss the baby 😁 and keep it back in the. Again repeat the process after some time.. My new baby finch is sitting on my laptop now watching me type 🤣
@@ShabnaFazilHabeebShabusVlog oh thats so sweet. I dont know the difference between yours and mine. But my chicks came out of the nest and the next day got out pf the cage and flew all over the house. It took me along time to catch them
Hello thank you for the informative video. I have 2 finches who are having 7 days old babies parents aren't hand tamed. I am planning to separate them around 22 days old. Should I feed them or will the babies feed by themselves?
If the parents are feeding them keep it with the parents for at lease 4 weeks. In between you can take them out and interact with them to make a bond or wait until 4 to 5 weeks and hand feed them for few more weeks until they get weaned. I have a new set of babies here now. Completely parents are feeding them but I do take them out, they are getting friendly too. Now they are 8 weeks old.
It is always better to keep them with the parents for min 9 weeks. The answer to your question is ,Yes 😊 Even if they are on a hand feed diet after few weeks they will get weaned. You can find video on bird foods also in my channel ❤️👍
Hii.. My Zebra finches hatched a new baby just now.. What to do? What to feed? Do I need to feed it by myself or the parents will take care themselves? I'm too nervous 😥
There is nothing to worry about and try not to go near them. The parents will feed the chicks. 😊 Usually Zebra finches are very responsible parents. Keep fresh water, seeds and pellets
Hello, loved how simply you explained every detail. I want to start taming my finch but I am scared if I take it out its parent will not feed it and if I wait it will grow up and not be tamed. Its not eating itself. Its 19 day old
In our case most of my finches are friendly and they are ok with us talking the babies out.. You can at lease start to interact with them when they are in the nest too..then it will be more easy 😁 Trust me zebra finches are really intelligent birds..
my Zebra finches pair is not tamed, the female is scared of me, it's been more than a year now they are going to lay eggs soon, should I separate the babies when the eggs hatch and feed them myself so that they be familiar with me, unlike their parents? or would it be unfair for the parents or the babies ?
this was a lot of help because i had a pair of 4 baby finches hatch and the 2 youngest finches witch were about less then 3 mounths old trying to raise them and they sadly died so we brang the baby birds in to hand rear them with our baby cockatiel so yay :c we are running outa food for them

leave the babies with the parents for first few weeks . Later you can pick one or two outside and tame.. it is not easy to tame all the chicks..
