Just a heads up in case you care, if you slow down your lion rampants flying, you'll fly a lot better. You want to burst for a bit, release and let yourself start to fall, then swing, wait a sec, and repeat. Also if you use heat rises, the prospector speed carries much longer and morer
Not sure if you did this but when just using eager edge for a single boost of momentum, swap off your sword immediately after swinging so that you can immediately jump to get better movement
For the titan sword flying, remember to activate lift, cancel lift, then swing, then activate lift. By canceling lift you get a LOT more boost for free. Also swap off the sword in between to reset eager edge for really, really far distances. While not as satisfying as well skating, you cam eager edge sword fly the first half of the KF jumping puzzle, then ballistic slam + TC the rest of the way
With full ammo with 2 reserves on, starting at the first ship. you can make it all the way to the opposite set of pads, assuming the door is open for you to get through.
I feel like titan flying didnt get the love it deserves. If done right you can fly infinitely (as long as you have ammo) without losing height. Works on any distance gap as long as there is a place below or equal too the starting point to land on.
i think it's more likely that shatterskating will be removed. there's the void smokedive that doesn't work despite having the same input and same animation.
@@africanpenguin3104 that's something I wanna test but I think it's less practical because that would rely on your smoke being ready whereas with shatterdive you don't need an ability to be ready to do it
You forgot my favorite Warlock movement cheat. Dawnblade, Wings of Sacred Dawn, something with handling. Eat your grenade so you can hang out in midair, pop super, use it to go as far as you can--with heat rises you don't need to auto fire the super, you can tap it every couple of seconds until it runs out. Then you spam your aim button to keep your quick handling gun to keep you in place until your Icarus dash recharges so you can repeat this until you get where you're going. I suppose you don't 'need' the super, but it's not super quick that way.
I can’t believe the best method for traveling wasn’t mentioned. For anyone who doesn’t know if you use Hoarfrost reach with max resilience and 2 utility kickstart, you get your glacial barricade back before it disappears. If you then place the glacial barricade while standing on the edge of a ledge, you create a tiny floating crystal. You can then jump on it and repeat this process infinitely.
I've been abusing Titan Flying for years at this point, and it is by far the most reliable, not the fastest, but you can fly as long as you have ammo, fully control your direction, and even gain height, I think adding Thundercrash to the mix makes it break the scale and reach 4*, and when strand comes out I'm certain you can grapple while doing it too. Side note: You can easily skip all the way to the secret chest door during the ship section in Kingsfall, with ammo and Thundercrash to spare.
I use it to skip swamp in Lightblade strike, skip the platforms in seraph station, skip kingsfall ships, etc. If you have T crash and can time your Edge swaps you can easily cover any gap in the game with LRs on.
Note that if you eager edge heavy swing a guardian that is in the air after they tap jump the momentum is enough to go back from the morgeth bridge. Do with that what you will.
Note, the best place to learn shaterscating is in the enclave. You get unlimited heavy ammo, you have an edge to jump from and you have a long free space in front of you.
Im a certified jumping puzzle skipper, here is the, imo, most effective option available: Wellskate and press jump right after it to get and upwards momentum for more height activate heat rises while flying upwards And then do the usual swordskating technic while heat rises is active and you can fly until heat rises runs out while maintaining the height. With starfire and 100 disciplin you can activate heat rises 3 times without touching the ground Sword skating: eager edge swap to another weaopn and do a fast ikarus dash(jumping right before doing one)
This is unironically the best wellskating tutorial I’ve seen! It’s at 2:30 for when I inevitably come back to re-learn it bc my brain is a bucket with holes in it!
For shatter skate, you can just press all the buttons at the same time. changing dive from hold B/O to tap B/O works out easily without having to change too much. its just as easy on default controlls, all you gotta do is hold down the dive button first and keep holding the dive button and then just swap to your sword but press jump and heavy attack at the same time. if it helps you can even use the other hand to hold down the b button. For well skating its only slightly different. you swap to sword then super then half a second later jump+heavy attack. so it almost the same as shatter skate but instead of all at the same time its super just a little before the jump+heavy
With heat rises you can spam the jump button to keep the height a lot longer. You start drifting downwards after gliding for a few seconds with heat rises so refreshing the glide stops it
The super can also get a lot of distance if you short punch ( not too short) at peak height, jump, punch again and repeat. It just barely makes the gap without ramparts.
Just wanted to say that standing on a ledge is better when shatterskating instead of being further away because then you won't use a single bit of sword ammo
Dude you did titan flying dirty! It’s the best out of all of these! I consistently make it from the beginning of the ship, section in King’s Fall all the way to the secret chest cubby. Probably three times the length of this map or more.
Mesome777 was soooo close with the launching someone w shoulder charge. If you are on Hammer Titan and shoulder charge it will send a player flying as long as both players are in air when shoulder charging/being charged at
You gave thundercrash a higher score than sword flying?? One costs a whole super and has limited range, the other only costs heavy and has enough range to cross every gap in the game, even being able to ascend.
I found a way to shatter skate with regular controller binds, just hold the crouch(aka shatter dive) and then press jump and heavy attack after holding shatterdive for like a second or a second and a half, and after sometime if practice you’ll get almost everytine
Starfire Protocol and Heat Rises makes for a very long travel distance. with 100 discipline, you can effectively have 3 grenades to consume, and you can maintain your height by canceling your jump and then immediately activating it again before you start descending. might be slower than sword skating but it's very simple and you can go incredibly far, plus you can pair it with eager edge if you so please.
Yes!! You can even in some permitting instances, pull out your sparrow, dodge twice in the upward direction while at a 90° angle, land on the sparrow and we’ll skate off the sparrow. Very hard to master, but DAMN.
There's another one that you missed! I don't know if it's still possible or not, but you can give yourself a huge horizontal shunt by activating a roaming super while in the middle of the sprint-blink animation with a Worldline Zero heavy attack. Yes, that sword is still in the game and no, Bungo never once touched it's vanilla blink-forward-on-heavy-attack capability, which is why almost everyone forgot the thing existed by the time Forsaken rolled around. The speed burst is enough to get you from Midtown point C heavy ammo spawn all the way to the player spawn zone past point A. I once used this tech in a Mayhem match to launch myself across Midtown and swat a Dawnblade out of the sky with Arcstaff and it was awesome. It probably isn't quite as effective in covering distance as shatter-skating but it's still a solid choice, assuming it hasn't been patched out. I haven't tested whether or not it's still usable in a while.
For titan flying, you can consume a lot less ammo if you time it right. There is no rush to spam your sword swing, wait till you start falling and use the light attack to cancel the fall. If timed right you are able to use just eager edge swings while titan flying jump jump eager jump jump wait till falling then jump jump eager repeat. Spacing out your jumps perfectly will allow enough time for eager to come back.
What I do is I have the shatterdive as holding B in air so I already hold B and then I use heavy attack and jump. It makes everything more consistent as u already have 1 of 3 steps by default
Kind of hard to show off in such a small arena, but shatterskating into blink on hunter is quite relevant and is needed in KF to do the long skip. On warlock combining Heat rises with Wellskating lets you go way further and I believe is needed in order to cross the long gap on KF as well.
For shatter skating on controller I just switch from a “hold button” input to a “press button” input. Literally that one change made it an instant fix.
Hey, respect for including shoulder boosts. Friendly tip, try stowing your eager edge weapon immediately after swinging. You'll carry a little more momentum.
eager edge + icarus dash + heat rises clears Florida technically you can still worldline skate in place of eager edge techs if you have the height for it, icarus + heat rises + wings of sacred dawn can get you over any gap and if you have a run at it, dawn blade + control glide will get you there with a tiny pit stop in florida

the comment about controller keybinds had me a little confused. never had a problem skating on PS4 that wasn't a skill issue, the only serious problem was needing to change the "air action" from it's default long-press to a single-press, and i'll be honest, i vastly prefer that over the long press. At that point, you can just press jump and air action at the same time and it honestly works fine. Well skating is a little different, though, since the timing of the well has to be when the upward motion from the heavy sword strike just barely starts
your titan flying wasn't very good. if you do it even kind of okay you can cross the kings fall jumping section all the way to the bonus chest door, with ammo to spare. use catapult lift. start with a hop in the air and a swing, then activate lift, turn it off immediately, and wait to swing again until your legs fully extend again. you can not only go incredibly far if you do it right, but also hit the invisible ceilings at the top of maps.
They better not remove skating, I took a lot of time to learn that on my Hunter. I've only ever bubbled skated once and could never do it again. As for my Warlock, I've only ever achieved it while practicing it in a private match and no where else + since Strand is coming out, I'll have to learn that also
Small note about shatterskating and wellskating. Maybe my reflexes are too quick, maybe my binds are on a weird delay, or something, but I'm about a 90% success rate with Eager>Shatter/Well>Jump. I remember there was Acrobaticskating and Bakrisskating, don't know if those still work. I would assume Acrobatics wouldn't work all that well since it does propel you down quite fast. Since I don't use Glaives, I don't know if the whole melee cancel works with Bakris, so no idea if this works still but if it does then it could be nice movement tech if Eager Skating gets removed.
I love the idea of knowing that at least a few day one raid teams are going to spend hours before the raid practicing a full team thundercrash grapple for a day one jump puzzle skip. THIS WILL HAPPEN AND Y'ALL KNOW IT lol
Btw to make shatterskaing even easier just make shatter dive in your binds instant use and then press all the buttons right after u heavy works 100% of the time
I can skip the chasm in Kings fall with Titan flying so i don't see how it can barely skip the swamp you can go fly above it from start to finish and backwards
you didn't titan fly correctly and with a crafted eager edge sword that can get 70 in the mag, you can fly ANYWHERE (rhulk, the worm in vow, KF jumping puzzle etc)
That was one of the worst attempts at lions titan flying I've seen in a while. You can easily start from the ship side of kings fall and make it all the way to the secret chest door itself if you do it right.

Yeah he doesn’t know how to eager edge. That’s why I don’t like this guy. He doesn’t really know what he’s talking about but talks like he is smarter than everyone.
@@AristophMarloque "Sword, Catapult lift, and some ADHD button mashing" He had 2/3 correct. if you button mash, you're not going anywhere. It's literally 3 button presses per cycle and honestly, easier to do than any well/shatter skating and it will get you further most of the time.

I love the idea of knowing that at least a few day one raid teams are going to spend hours before the raid practicing a full team thundercrash grapple for a day one jump puzzle skip. THIS WILL HAPPEN AND Y'ALL KNOW IT lol
Hunter + eager Edge can go all the way through with the basic swing. Just swing, change weapon to keep momentum and jump
There is only one little problem with any skating tactic for me, is that I have the mental aptitude of senile earth worm
Btw to make shatterskaing even easier just make shatter dive in your binds instant use and then press all the buttons right after u heavy works 100% of the time
Btw they're called lion RAMPANTS! Not rampaRt!!
The bad piggies music goes crazy
There are gonna be a whole bunch of slingshot bugs with grapple, When grappling eachother at the same time
I can skip the chasm in Kings fall with Titan flying so i don't see how it can barely skip the swamp you can go fly above it from start to finish and backwards
Where's Arstrider Blink + Arc Staff? Plus Speed Booster for those Spicy Sprints
Doesn't eager edge work without ammo?
I wonder how many people could grapple onto a shatterskating hunter at one time?
you didn't titan fly correctly and with a crafted eager edge sword that can get 70 in the mag, you can fly ANYWHERE (rhulk, the worm in vow, KF jumping puzzle etc)
0:45 Aztecross wants to know your location
That was one of the worst attempts at lions titan flying I've seen in a while. You can easily start from the ship side of kings fall and make it all the way to the secret chest door itself if you do it right.
Yeah, it was honestly a bit ridiculous. "Here's a method that allows you to fly infinitely wherever you want as long as you have sword ammo, but I'm giving it 1 star because I don't know how it works and can't be bothered to spend the 5 seconds to look it up."
Now you have to edit this and add the infinite grapple hunter ability
So happy they didn't remove skating!
you missed the fastest option in the game for skipping puzzles
go to orbit, rejoin when friends finish
Lion rampant + capatult lift + any sword with ammo = infinite distance and hight coverage
3:42 agreed. purple is an objectively better color
I hope they don't remove eager edge skating. It is THE most fun thing to do and rewards you for practice.
