I'm glad you admitted that it was your opinion... nothing in Cyclops ability scale says anything about recognition. Also if Gambit can dodge Iron Man's targeting systems and he is fast enough to move out of the way of a laser after it has been fired, he already is too fast for Cyclops to keep up with as has been shown numerous times that Cyclops can't move fast enough to get out of the way of the blasts by the Sentinels.
Gambit was complemented by Captain America as one of the best hand to hand combatants he'd ever seen.
In that same fight Cap was on the phone with Tony and wasn't paying attention until Gambit tried to blow up Cap's suit, and then Cap KO'd Gambit in SECONDS
@@loselot6044 Gambit would have won if you removed Cap's plot armor. Captain America somehow was almost completely unscathed after the explosion. Cap's abilities are extremely inconsistent. They claim he doesn't have any powers, just that the super-soldier serum made him into a "peak human". There is not a chance in Heaven, Hell, or Earth that a peak human can do half of the things Cap does in the comics. The main reason why Gambit lost the fight was because Cap was in the movies, while Fox owned the X-Men. One of the scumbags running marvel kept trying to kill off the X-Men at the time. Really, the fights were about how popular a character is. You can find lots of videos on the topic.
@@loselot6044 Also, the writers literally have no idea how to write Gambit. They have a panel showing Cap shattering his bo staff. No frickin way. Gambit's staff is made of adamantium.
@Gun_Flint Cap was never claimed to be "peak human" he was turned into a SUPER solider, he's always had Super Strength, durability, and (minor) speed. If you read Captain America comics, that's just how strong he is. He consistently fists Fit fights M.O.D.O.K. or some upper level hydra members and armies of A.I.M. or Hydra soliders with nothing but his Shield. Cap even took out a shape-shifting metallic man in 2 pages. He's also been able to consistently punch above his weight class. Cap also out skilled someone who mastered every single martial arts.
@@loselot6044 How many times has he shattered adamantium with his bare hands? Gambit is also way more powerful than people give him credit for. The AvX comics were basically which characters they could milk the most money out of in the MCU.

Without plot armor, Cyclops doesn't stand a chance. The only thing Cyclops is actually better at is leadership, specifically in team battles. The biggest advantage for Gambit is that he's not only more used to fighting alone, he prefers it and is at his best when alone. The biggest disadvantage for Cyclops is also the nature of both of their powers. Gambit can charge multiple things at once, like a pocket full of change, each individual coin with the power of a grenade. Cyclops can only shoot from his eyes with a single beam, although he can do so continuously and with varying degrees of strength. Unless the fight takes place in an open field with no cover or extra ammo for Gambit to scoop up, Scotty boy doesn't stand a chance.
Gambit is a cool character
Cyclopes is more of a glass canon, known for power and precision. He's never been known for agility or speed, but more so for strategy. I really wish the creators would develop a second mutation for him. Something opposite from his primary mutation yet complimentary
The only thing that cyclops has over Gambit is his mind. He is better tactician and cool headed. If it comes to 1 vs 1 Cyclops have no chance.
Individually Gambit is stronger mutant/ fighter, collaborative Cyclops is superior.
And this is coming from a huge Cyclops fan from the first time i saw XMEN 90's series.

IT will be a stalemate because why???? They have other versions of Gambit where he turns out to be Scott's brothers...so they're powers wont have any affects on each other....just like how Cyclops is with Havok. Gambit is one of the Summers brothers.
Gambit is a clone of Scott. He had eye lazers that he had mr sinister nerf because he couldn't control when they went off.
You forgot about Gambit having his own power nerfed via surgery because he realized his powers could destroy the planet and feared his own full potential.
Im not using that version of gambit.

If Cyclops blasts Gambit's card out the air, they explode. Cyclops can not dodge an explosion. Also you said their speed levels are on par with each other. How? Gambit is way faster than Cyclops, has more stamina and more durability. Also Gambit is sneakier than Cyclops, way more stealthy, fights dirty and can use the terrain to his advantage as well. Anything could explode at any time. And Gambit has beaten/held his own against way more credible martial artists. I think you are severely underestimating Gambit.
