This entire album was just…….. beyond words……. It moves your soul from the get go and continues to build throughout the whole album until you’re just flabbergasted 😲
My musical journey was so eclectic starting with the Doors and Beatles from my mom, to like boy bands from my sister (NKOTB era) in late 80's, to early 90's R&B, to grunge and death metal in my mid to late teens. This pretty much touches everything in between and touches me in a way that I can't explain. I feel all of it in my soul. It makes me cry, it makes me want to break shit, it makes me want to groove, it makes me want to sing. Sometimes at the same time.
i've gone back and listened to their older stuff, and honestly i feel like they just crushed it on this one... these new songs are like 7-8 minutes long and feel like they're too short, whereas honestly their older songs are like 5 minutes and feel like they went on for too long. You can feel on their older stuff that they were aiming for this level, and this time they nailed it.
This is the most dificult band for ranking tracks. Each one's so different from the last, it's like ranking your children; each as something moreish to appreciate more on the next listen.
