I loved realizing just now that there are countless others like me who must be doing a daily RUclips search for “sleep token reaction”. I literally never tire of watching these and feeling the solidarity!
We’re chasing the dragon. We can only experience the first time hearing these songs when watching someone else do just that. When they legitimately enjoy them, it makes it that much better 😊
I haven’t been so excited about a band in literal decades. I’m fanboying for fucks sake. It’s honestly a little ridiculous. Their ability to blend genres is amazing, and both Vessel (the singer) and Vessel II(2) (drummer typically referred to as II) are incredible musicians. My respect for them only grew after I found that it’s just those 2 creating the music (beyond final production). Vessel writes lyrics, sings, plays guitar, bass, keys, and has a hand in production. II comes up with the percussion and I assume has his hand in production as well. A couple of actual musical geniuses. Vessels III and IV are there for concerts, but they add a lot of personality on stage and the live performance wouldn’t be the same without them. They’re all incredible in their own right.
Welcome into the rabbit hole! Ascensionism is the perfect followup to this one. These dudes are definitely prog and they bend genres like crazy. Can’t put them in a box at all. Each song you hear from this point will reinforce that. Mind-blowing stuff. They’ve made me think about music in a completely different way.

Make sure you listen to the lyrics as Vessel is very very intelligent. There’s a lot of callbacks to previous songs in the trilogy which you will eventually find out when you listen to more. Just one thing, they’re anon. I know who they are and others too but please don’t identify them if you find out as they want to stay anon and real fans won’t be happy 🖤
