I think that comes with any pair of XR glasses due to the current technology. My pair of Viture Ones have the same thing; not sure on other brands though.

Still looks like a product in its beta form. I like to see where it goes, but I can’t be a test subject. Thank you everyone who has the income and is paving the way!
Ive been waiting for a decent pair of VR/AR glasses for awhile now. On top of being able to use it while traveling (holding a laptop stinks in a car on long trips), I want these for work. I work in Healthcare IT and on a on call rotation. Right now, if I leave the house, I have to take my laptop and my external monitors and then I have to worry about where I sit in public when working with patient data. These glasses solve the issue of not needing to take my travel monitor and opening up my freedom of where to sit because no one can look at my screen. Also my 14" laptop and my 15" travel screen has nothing on the visual size of the screen in the glasses. Definitely going to pick up a pair.
I worked the XREAL booth at CES and had many hours of experience with Air 2 Pro & Ultra and I have to say I was really impressed with the overall sharpness and size. It's also very comfortable and you don't experience any nausea like some full headsets. The only downside is that XREAL and the company they hired did not pay me!
Nargh, still Beta for me. They need to stop trying to cross sell with the Beam. Simply have a charging cable in one ear and a USB C in the other, saves all that messing around. Also, they need to ''frame'' the screen like the vision pro to prevent mad halo's - so that would be software.
Damn, I would be okey with 1080p screen real-estate but the refresh-rate dropping to 72Hz for gyro enabled stuff (productivity, multiple virtual monitors heello), is actually a deal breaker for me..
what galaxy fold will they work on? My glasses came today but not compatible with Android OnePlus A5000, thought they were going work on any android with type c, gutted tbh like, so i have to purchase new phone 📱 messed up fare play
To bad nobody is able to get the speakers in the arms as good as bose once did with those sunglasses they discontinued. But these arnt bad at all like you said. Dex is great! But to bad the edges are to blurry.. wish we could resize the screen like with the beam or the nebula app
I worked the XREAL booth at CES and while standing next to someone wearing these you can hear a slight rumble similar to someone wearing headphones. You can still pair your Bluetooth device for an overall better sound experience.
Hey man, it would be awesome if you could do something related to software development using these glasses. There's a whole segment not being addressed that could benefit a lot of these.
Yes! This is always what I'm looking for and everyone just mentions viewing video or playing stuff. I want something fairly simple but easy to read text, with minimal blurriness, so I can just grab a pair of glasses for the road to develop with.
@@bathroomsessionshey I can help you with that, I've also replied to the main guy's question but doesn't seem interested in it so I'll reply here too xD. I have a pair of Air 2s and based on my experience, all the corners (up down left right) is slightly blurry, center is clear as day. I need to adjust the glasses in order to see that one part more clearly. So as of now until Xreal gives users the ability to adjust the screens size manually, I don't think this is worth investing in. BUT when the stable version of the Nebula App for PC comes out, you would be able to have 3 (if not mistaken) adjustable virtual monitors for your PC/laptop. But as of now it's still in beta and it doesn't support the Air 2's yet. I hope this answers some of your curiosity and have a good day.
@@youtubebrowser1730 I'm not particularly sure about this because I don't own an iPhone... But I assume that IF the lightning to type C cable does support DP out, it should work fine.
Even if it could support it, at 500 nits it's probably not a 'HDR experience' and you'd be better off using SDR. HDR requires a minimum of 1000 nits to shine, more is better, OLED can get away with 800 nits sometimes.
My problem i could see are with long flights. I couldn’t wear earbuds on a long flight. But also, I couldn’t wear headphones over glasses for a long time either.
How do the glasses do outside or with the display small or off? Are the 2s or pros usable as sunglasses or glasses comfortably walking around? Just curious
I mean I wouldn’t wear them as sunglasses they won’t protect your eyes. You can see through them and walk around but it’s not perfectly clear since you have the frames of the displays in your vision
@@MatthewMonizinteresting. So there is no option of having the screen in, say top right corner of your vision, and leave the rest of FOV open? Is that right?
@@EpochFitness I think he means the screens are fixed in your field of vision even when nothing is playing/showing. You can't just move the hardware out of the way.
So, if you wear prescription glasses and are not able to find an optician that will add your prescription to the supplied lenses without charging a lot, {price of another beam} you're screwed
The Beam device gets really poor reviews on Amazon. Is it necessary for just watching videos or a Safari window? Will the window jiggle around with head movements? Thanks
The window would only wiggle if the glasses don’t fit you well, they are sort of “one size fits all” (they are mildly adjustable and there is only one size option) but I haven’t seen anyone complain about the fit impacting the usability of the glasses, just the comfort. The beam device isn’t necessary but without it’s basically just a massive portable display, so if that’s all your interested in than you don’t need it. But the beam is where the xreals get a few decent of their “AR” features, including(I believe) being able to change the size and location of the virtual monitor. Also btw if you look at their website you can get the beam and the glasses for a little bit cheaper as a bundle than buying each separately from Amazon, but they don’t offer express shipping, like they don’t even let you pay extra for it. So if you go that route you’ll have to wait a week or 2 to get them.
I worked at the XREAL booth at CES this year and the answer is, "It depends". I had a few attendees whip out their camera rig and plug in via a USB C cable and some brands did support mirroring the image and some didn't. I wish I had a better answer.
Hi, first thanks for the content. I recently purchased Air 2 Pro + Beam and looking for the simplest (in terms of cables and connectivity) to play Switch docked and un-docked. In your video, you show yourself playing Switch just by connecting directly to the Switch using a USB-C cable without any adapter. Could you let me know what cable you are using to achieve this? Also, could you recommend how to play on the go with an external power source? Thank you.
Just realized this is achieved by using the provided USB Type-C to C cable (I was using another charging C-C cable). :) Would appreciate you still recommending a on-the-go setup to play Switch using an external power source. Thank you.
It’s hard to film since I’m using my phone pointed through the one of lenses of the glasses. But you can read the text fine if you had them on for yourself
You don't need the Dock. The dock is optional Just the glasses and the cable to connect it directly to the phone or device.
