Oh sez😂 she was so beautifully behaved during the meet and even walking away from the group! The way she goes from cool, calm and collected to full pelt menace to society has me in stitches, I simply adore her “I’ve hit grass I’m off” need for speed, she just grabs and goes. My hat goes off to you because that is not easy and your arms must kill. You made the right call pulling up, safer for you both. I hope you can do this again in the future, only if it’s safe for you both of course!! You did really well on the road as well Han🥰 Insult to injury when she bloody jumps and canters off on her own like butter wouldn’t melt😂 the commentary on the way back has me howling, I love you two so much 😂😂❤
She was so so well behaved for the meet she stood so well & even walked away lovely. It is legit as soon as her feet touched the grass she just went & then I was like oh crap I cannot stop again🤣. Hahaha she is adorable & the biggest character 🤣 but she is a Nutter. & yeah I was so proud of her for that. Considering she was the world’s most nappiest pony and would shutdown & plant!! She just wanted to jump 🤣 but I couldn’t risk with the ground & no brakes. Im going to try and find a quiet hound exercise and stick to those 🤣. So she doesn’t blow her brain. Have a tack shake up & see how we go🫣. But team chasing is round the corner 🤪. Pahaha I didn’t even realise it was on the whole time 🫣🤣🤣🤣! Was funny watching it back, I just kept calling her an idiot & more colourful worlds and that she ruined it for herself 🤣. Awww loveyAa🩷
You made the right call. With ground like that, it's dangerous enough on a sane horse horse with brakes. On a whizzy welsh in full on zoomie mode with no brakes, it could have ended badly. Just not worth the risk. No walk of shame there!
Honestly, hunting might not be her thing but I don’t know many horses that would happily leave the pack and hack home as quietly as she did! And for that she redeems herself, Luca certainly wouldn’t!! Mega weekend all round though, you rode my Loolar beautifully and can’t wait for another pony meet up soon - team chasing is just around the corner 😉🏇🏻🏇🏻🏇🏻🏇🏻

Silly question have you tried her with a bitless bridle in an arena…. It’s a shame that you can’t tell Sez that if she didn’t pull and listen, she be up with the front runners. Would the calming cookies work before she goes hunting. Sorry you missed the fun.
I haven’t but I have always wondered this. However I still think she’d get her head down & run through it 🫣. It is really frustrating . If she could just keep a lid on it when I need to slow down she’d be an amazing hunter . She absolutely LOVES it 🤣 xx
What did you have her in? Looked like a gag? I had ZERO brakes on my pony, hunted pre ban so we had no idea where fox would go and I had no choice but to be up with hunt staff. Luckily it was a children’s meet and I was about 13 but we were both caked in mud by the end of the day and that bloody pony didn’t tire! 😂
Cheltenham gag- but I had bit bandage on it so I believe it may have stopped the action of the bit 🫣. It just wasn’t working I didn’t feel like there was anything in her mouth at all. Hahahaha you sure your pony wasn’t Seren 🤣? X
You were much more relaxed on the walk back, therefore she was. As the lads used to say when I rode out racehorses, your hanging onto the horses mouth like it's the last prick on earth! 😂😂
🫣 it’s hard to hide the fear when you absolutely cannot stop for anything. I was terrified on the road I have a real fear of hacking on a road & she was an angel. Honestly I tried to relax whilst galloping/ cantering by bridging my reins but it’s the not being able to stop when the whole pack are lol! X
hunting is bloody terrafing, i wouldnt be able to cope on a horse like that and i struggle to do a full day on mine and he hunts on a loose rein. i think you would loveit if you had breaks.
