- Goliath is a steel roller coaster made by Giovanola of Switzerland. The hypercoaster is located in the Colossus County Fair area of Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California and is promoted with a sub-tropical theme that is characterized by ruins of the ancient Mayan civilization. The ride is nearly identical to Titan at Six Flags Over Texas.
During a brief period from its opening on February 11 to May 13, 2000, Goliath's 255-foot (78 m) opening drop was recognized as the longest and fastest (85 mph) on a closed-circuit roller coaster in the world. Millennium Force at Cedar Point eclipsed these records when it opened on May 13, 2000 with a drop of 300 feet (91 m) and speeds of 93 mph (150 km/h).

This coaster is seen in Zoey 101 where Michael(Christopher Massey) rode it several times and the movie Judy Moody And The Not Bummer Summer where Judy rode it and was puked on by the boy sitting next to her

I think it is kinda overrated. It only had one airtime moment and that was on the airtime hill (you might get some air on the back)
This is when the ride was faster before they had to slow it down
To be fair, Goliath was never designed for airtime, but more for speed and intensity (positive). Of course, this was before the amped up the MCBR. Back when it first opened, it just flew right through the MCBR, now it slows it down to a crawl.

if this his inspiration, then never let him be a coaster designer. repaint the whole ugly thing, tear down the part where twisted colusles or how ever you spell it. oh also add more airtime hills. oh and make the gp not over rate it as much. if that happened i would love it.

Yes, Goliath stats and layout aren't as impressive by today's standards, but back in the day it was a top rated coaster by the enthusiasts. Just because it lacks airtime doesn't make it a bad ride. Just because he likes a ride you don't doesn't mean he shouldn't be inspired by it.
Also Dan is a really nice guy.
