- This is a building video, slightly sped up of me finishing the last of Vault 88. Not the most exciting video structurally - but it needed to be done. I hope my waffling makes up for it - decorated tour on the weekend.

you should assign someone to a savaging station and rug it in the generator so it looks like a settler is working on it
that was exactly what I was thinking :)
Oh man that is a damn good idea.
That's an interesting idea.
Damn I'm definitely going to do that.
Hell ya I've done that before, even with a regular fusion generator. It's great lol. It looks cool too xD.
Did you ever do a tour of your vault?? I'm probably being dumb but I can't see one!! If not one would be appreciated, as I love your channel and vids pal!
absolutely creased at the sped up footsteps at the end!
Thanks Norespawn for the guide video I was getting so confused and lost 👍👍👍👍👍
thanks for the video man. I know you don't like doing these kinds of videos but it really does help me out. Especially when it comes to the build order of the Vault pieces. So frustrating. lol
Just use boxcars. They're way more fun.
YES! Been waiting for this!
You've inspired me for my vault 88 prison for my child of atom/BOS survival character!!
Sealed window corridors with a arena platform to keep them standing in their max security 2x2 cell..
..with a maze filled with traps!!
And the all reset to the atrium and murder each other....
Great video man, stumbled across your stuff recently whilst down a rabbit hole on RUclips and I really dig it. Your voice is very easy to listen to, despite sounding a lot like Daniel Radcliffe ;)
Your vault uses space really well. I struggled with fitting everything I wanted in. Someone should make a schematic of the layout of Davey's vault. I get so turned around in small spaces that I'd have to make one for my own vault if it was too expansive.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! My generator room looks almost exactly the same as yours, but it's 3 stories tall, and I hate it. I can't wait to fix this 😂
Hey I just bought the Vault tec DLC the other day and i found your videos and found them so helpful and something i usually play whilst im playing the game. but yeah thanks for the vids eh
Your builds are absolutely wonderful #NoRespawns
I am currently building a restaurant of sorts at Jamaica Plains. The small build area is challenging but fun. The restaurant will be a cross between a dinner and a hooters.
Thank yooooou Davey!
I'm still building my vault on save 2, hate the vault on save 1 and too lazy to pull it down! Built a classroom which I'm happy with and scavenging the commonwealth to find bits to add to it.
Used a lot of tips and tricks learned from your videos, especially the rug and pillar glitch. Can't record from my xbox and don't have twitter so can't show it off to anyone lol.
Keep the videos coming man!
Nice looking vault
grand job
Gonna have an underground shanty town on one of my saves.
Well hey that's pretty good
With the reactor room, you should've just used the 2 story floor wall and ceiling pieces at the end of the vault atrium structure menu.
Do a live stream of you decorating the vault, for those of us with a lot of time on our hands!
I have a pretty small vault so I only needed the tesda built one in the control room
I tried before to build a sealed generator room but it completely failed...
I'd love to see a junk themed settlement in vault 88 (minus the vault pieces of course). There's lots of scrap-able structures down their (such as the water towers and trains) that I feel would look really nice in a cave/ underground settlement. Similar to little lamplight. Sadly I don't have a save back far enough to ever make this idea a reality but I figured I'd spit my idea out into the comments.
everything I make looks like it shouldn't be in the game. thank you for showing me the way
@norespawns Why not try using the utility tab for something like the reactor room?
I love the Vault DLC, the idea of building my own vault is awesome, but I just can't get to grips with the pieces. They don't want to snap, and I'm sick of getting 3/4 of the way through building something only to have to delete it all because a ceiling piece won't snap.
Your atrium area, have ya thought about having it connect into the cafeteria, or back of a kitchen area? Didn't look like it was connected to that last cafeteria styled room you were fixing up.
Last time I was this early Harambe was still alive
WOAH WOAH WOAH .... Too soon man, too fucking soon.
Yeah wtf!!
What is an Harambe?
redomer91
Who are you Patrick Star? I'd love to come kick it with you, what's the address of the Rock you're living under?
Matt D I googled it just now. Seems like some pointless obsession of our degenerate shared culture.
Anyone annoyed by the fact that the corners have no windows?
Settlement Objects Expanded adds some corner Windows if you're not playing PS4, if you are, keep hoping Sony and Bethesda can fix that situation.
you should do some Raider theme builds
Davey did you ever finish the arena? I dunno if I missed it. Nice video, love getting some inspiration from your builds.
you think it's fun now. wait until your settlers wander around the vault not knowing how to go upstairs to their atrium styled residential quarters
So I'm not crazy for burning out on building the actual vault. Or, maybe I am. Considering I've built, torn down, built, torn down, and built it again. I did manage to fit a bit of everything into the main atrium area... but now I'm wanting to spread out. #firstworldproblems
There are entire caverns ready to be explored. Spread out your bedrooms and shops. Make your settlers move around the place to get to their jobs and off work activities. It's boring when they all just hang around the atrium.
Making it 2-3 floors high I could fit everything into their own modules, but that was part of my lack of satisfaction was that I was using like a quarter of the cave space... Thanks for the suggestions, though, I'll be back to the vault this weekend most likely.
Spacedroner well I'm glad I could help. That build area is huge! It needs to be explored!
Literally just got done doing Vault Tec today.
Built it all, finished the quest, shot and destroyed all the generators, took out all the lights and sealed up the vault so I can invade it when Nuka world drops.
+The Deer that's an awesome idea :D
I've come to the conclusion that I find it more enjoyable the more challenging it is. Maybe the same is true for you? Just building in that nice open, mostly even-floored & fairly even spaced cavern was maybe a little too easy for you.
I enjoyed vault 88, but it was the challenging parts I liked figuring out the most, like how to get the vault to travel round and down into the North-East sector and eventually connect up to where the water pump is. So, I'd done the whole spreading to all the other cave areas and building it as my residential wing (maximising the space by having landings with rooms coming off instead of one long staircase down). Then I realised that it was taking the settlers so long to walk to their rooms at night that by the time they got there it was 4am lol, and of course the reverse was true, it took them so long to walk back that the shops were unmanned for a while after they should've been open. So I went to vault 81 for some inspiration. I was still building up around the atrium at that point and as I added room after room it occurred to me I still had plenty of space there for everyone. So they mostly have their own rooms and they're all in that main area (I have 26 settlers without using the automatron settler glitch as I've not finished that DLC yet - I keep getting distracted by building lol). I've left the rest of the caves as I'd built them but used tattier furniture so it looks like it was once occupied but then was abandoned. One thing I did notice is that if you leave any exterior gaps between rooms then you can lose settlers in there, I discovered this while doing the quest, I couldn't find Clem for the experiment but could hear him talking. he was in a 1x1 deadspace, so I had to remove a wall to let him out. I ended up putting a bathroom in that space but I figure you could have a maintenance cupboard or something too.
I'm now in the process of building a vault at Jamaica Plain. When I first found it (about 60 levels ago) I couldn't decide what to do with it, so I put a wall around it, 'repaired' the room with the workbench in it complete with powered door, and then left it. The shape of it is a real challenge but I'm having a lot of fun figuring out how to make it work. I'm lucky I'm on PC so I can use console commands (I don't use mods, I want to finish the game unmodded first - if that ever happens, I'm lvl 106 and Nick is still waiting for me at the memory den lol). I'm contemplating trying Coastal Cottage or Kingsport Lighthouse next for a vault, just for the challenge of making it work
do your vault dwellers keep spawning outside your vault structure? because mine do and its pissing me off because I have to take the wall down and plant a turret down and use it to drag them back in just like when you drag the brahmin out of the sanctuary houses
I've slightly solved this problem in my vault by building almost to the walls in the first area. There's maybe a foot between the cave walls and the walls of my vault. The problem I have is my settlers have a habit of walking through the higher walls in the vault and getting stuck inside the support structures (I despise having structures that appear to be floating, even if I don't ever see the area. Lol) outside the main vault areas
What do you think about the settlement system in Fallout 4 now that the last DLC is on the horizon? I don't mean the placing and scraping of objects but the concept behind it and the effects on the World.
If it actually had an effect on the world, that would be nice. The settlers don't even clean up their own trashy areas.
Erich Salvesen Well that is part of what I want to hear about. I think he already mentioned it that settlers don't repair/ clean the houses in Sanctuary but the issue doesn't stop there (at least not for me).
Rant away
Erich Salvesen It isn't all bad. It is just that settlements are poorly done and not fleshed out like much in F4.
Besides Davey has spend way more time on building than I have so he most likely has more insight into the whole thing.
redomer91 I feel my biggest issue with settlements is that we can't show them off unless we have a RUclips channel
Do you have a video on how to build a diner please, many thanks 😊
sadly not - i wasnt the best fan of the dlc due to the lack of decent lighting options, so didn't make many videos on it
Hi dude I'm trying to do your vault but I can't see the middle in many videos do you have a tour or something like that .
Hey Davey are you going to build up the National Park Visitors Center in Far Harbor? I'm working on it now and it's quite unique. I'm interested to what you would do there.
I'm not going back to Far Harbor - the fog just makes it not enjoyable for me. Maybe when mods drop and I can permanently turn off fog.
You do realize you were trying to snap floors from below, not the actual ceiling piece? You use the dedicated ceiling piece when you're on top, which is why it works.
So I'm pretty sure I've seen all of daveys fallow videos now, can anyone recommend any other good building channels on ps4 ( not a great fan of mods) cheers!
it reminds me dungeon keeper game.
No decoration video?
Lovecraft
I'm a huge fan of your channel. It is my favourite, It has, (and continues to), enhances my experience with Fallout 4. However, what happens to this channel when Fallout 4 comes to its end? What will be your next project? and will it continue to be PS4?
I mentioned that a little in my 50k sub video - I've got ideas. But it will be multiplatform (PC & PS4, maybe Xbox if I see the need).

Are you using an extra vault rooms mod?
Oooh Bloodborne talk, I personally like SKL/BLD and STR/ARC. I'm not personally fond of the Chikage, so I use the Reiterspallcsh over it. Same can be said about the Moonlight GS/Ludwig's GS, I would much rather use Logarius's Wheel over both of those weapons anyday.
"What's the point of decorating stuff if settlers are stupid and either not use or destroy all the decorations" is my reasoning. Or sometimes "this item's placement is bugged out and I hate it" too.
i used the super reactor
I've been neglecting my Bloodborne game, need to get on it soon. Probably after Nuka World.
I'm trying to most of it done before Tuesday (three day weekend helps) as I wanna start Dark Souls 3, so I can be experienced enough to do videos on it when the DLC drops (in October I think).
the author is called lovecraft
you make a small vault and I build a vault that uses all the space and drops my FPS to 25 or less (on PC so I am heavily modded)
Okay?
At 3:18 he says dodo
I feel like I'm the only one who have not built have actually build a settlement underground with the vault tec dlc and not an actual vault
@ Tray Sor - no your not the only one, infact the idea of build your own vault tech styled vault is kinda one of those fallout 4 concepts that never really caught on with settlement builders. Evil Viking 13 did not build one of these things he had his vault get taken over by brotherhood in his immersion.
a few weeks ago my father beat the vault tech DLC after he recently bought season pass.. my father never even used the vault tech pieces. after this i went onto my game and i decided to build a vault tech styled vault... i built most things but then i watched Norespawns dave and i then added a control room to my overseers area like he did. so only like a week or two ago did i get around to building my vault tech styled vault not only that im still building things there, iv still got more room decorating for my settlers. iv gota population of 8 vault dwellers there. its a higher population than in this video but iv been runing the simulation longer. most of my vault is finished except for that cafeteria thing... i keep going to vault 81 to look around to try get inspiration on how to build my vault... i noticed at vault 81 the overseer gwen only has a regular old kinda desk and not the special overseers desk. so i keep going into all the different vaults to try compare them all and how there all layed out to see how i should make mine.
of my 8 people iv only got separate rooms for 5 of them not counting the overseers living quarters 3 of my people just sleep on beds near the entrance to the vault near where the old overseers desk and trailer is. i preserved my old overseers desk and trailer i just left all that stuff alone and out the overseers window you see all of that stuff i wanted overseer bartow to see her old living quarters out the window to her new office. as soon as i build it she goes " finnaly i now have my overseers desk" it took me a few hours to build the overseers area. obave the overseers area i built 3 rooms for those first 3 settlers i made clems room bigger i got a 3x4 sized area and the other two guys got 2x4 sized rooms my over seers place is 7 by 7 in size. it was 7 by 4 in size a week ago but i added a extension. its all on the same floor.
so yes your not the only one that has not really built your vault tech styled vault. most people that have fallout 4 and have bought vault tech DLC still have not built it thoughm normally i dont like norespawns daves videos but i found these vault tech ones to be really cool to watch to try to get ideas for how to build your vault 88.
Where’s the final tour? 😭
I made a later video explaining that I hated this DLC and didn't wanna build here anymore
@@norespawns I figured it out 🤣 appreciate you responding on a six year old video
So are you planning on just ignoring the rest of the facility?
If so, why did you even clear those tunnels?
I didn't clear the tunnels - I left all the junk and stuff there. I've mentioned that my vault was going to be small-ish from the beginning.
I meant clear the rock piles blocking off the tunnels.
but I need to clear them to finish the quest - plus that way I get to have multiple exits/escape tunnels.
All valid points with equally valid counterpoints.
I will concede this round to you.
I ended up turning the left cavern into a large market place. I think it turned out well but I may be a little biased. I haven't built beyond that first secondary cavern....if thst made any sense....
Then let console mods screw up my build menu :/
Thanks for the videos man. They help validate my obsession with Fallout!
I really don't get why the consoles need circuitry and copper because they don't do anything apart from look cool
Davey, What is your PSN name?? P.S I love your videos :)
yes the bloodborne dlc is great! and quite hard but ur probably having a much harder time bcuz ur a bit under leveled (recommended is 90ish)
yeah tbh I'll come back to it later - I did suicide run for the gear though - still need to get me that Church Pick however...
Imah have to avoid you all next week 🙄😂 Lots of forced overtime at work. My heart bleeds. If you do a NukaWorld Build though please clearly denote it in description cuz that I'll watch. Just don't want *spoiler* quest stuff to pass these eyes
the bloodborne fan inside if me loves this vid
I'm gonna TRY and do something on the DS3 DLC when it drops; but first I wanna finish Bloodborne and actually start DS3. I'll at least stream it though - so you can see me die live :)
Yeah, Davey... The DLC in any game from From Software will kick the living shit out of you every time. It's disgustingly hard...
Oh I hear you - those fucking whip guys...
You should've seen the DLC for Dark Souls 2. Crown of the Sunken King was hell. Literally EVERYTHING would poison you...
He is ex-goth?! Brits can be GOTH?! WHAT THE FUCK!
we're great Goths - we've got that whole Victorian England vibe to draw upon; plus the shit weather means we're already pale.
Hmmm... I thought it was only us Brits that had goths?
Tbh I thought goth was a British thing
If you need help with old hunters, my psn is goody_wuthrie. I know bloodbornes a bit barren right now
I completely SUCKED at bloodborne. It literally took me 30 minutes to figure out how to play, and even then I never made it to the first boss.
I'll have to try it again sometime.
yeah it (and the Souls games generally) are one's you just 'get' eventually - and then you 'git gud' and can actually down enemies.
Definitely recommend trying it again.
Face reveal?
instagram link in the channel header
+norespawns oh, I'm on mobile so I didn't see that
Why do all British people pronounce "h" as "h8tch" instead of "aytch" like 'Mericans do
+Bob'sInsaneDonutsAndPants no one does.
+Bob'sInsaneDonutsAndPants because MURICA!!!!!!
KROH I assume British people are annoyed by the way you waste oxygen.
+Erich Salvesen yep
Twas a statement. Not a question. I have moved on.
