- hello everyone !
today it has been two years since wowaka sadly passed away. he impacted so many lives positively within our community, and gave us a world to escape to like no other; so we came together to make this song to honour him ♡
it’s been a while since we first started the project last year, so it feels amazing to finally complete it!! it was difficult at times, but we didn’t give up like what rolling girl taught us. we hope you enjoy the song and the mv ♡
i’m so thankful for everyone who came together to help work on this song. i wanted to write a song for wowaka not just from me, but from everyone, and thanks to everyone involved, that’s exactly what we did. once more, thank you!! ♡

I came into vocaloid after wowaka's passing so it didn't really hit me of course but seeing tributes like theese and generally many emotions for him makes me at least appreciate everything
I got into Vocaloid around the time Rolling Girl came out but, since at the time I wasn't really aware that there were people behind the making of Vocaloid songs, it didn't hit me either
That being said, this tribute made me cry waterfalls

No one in his fan base expected it. It was so sudden. I can't stop thinking about what he would have done if he was still here. He was so young. It really hurts. It's kinda amazing too, to see everyone sharing they love for him and making tributes. He haven't just done music, he created a whole community. It's kinda his fault if I'm into vocaloid and that I can write this comment right now. I remember myself in spain, with my abusive father and my abusive mom. My toxic family. I needed to be strong so I could take care of my brothers. And when it was way too much I only had vocaloid songs to keep me calm. Not that I haven't anything else to listen to, but they were just the only one that could get me right in the feels. They made me think about me, my life. So many philosophical subjects that me as I 11 yo never thought about. They gave me the chance to grew faster so I could manage my hard life. If I needed to scream, if I needed to cry, if I needed a warm hug : they were here. I used every damn songs of wowaka to cope with my life. I'm not saying that it saved my life, but I don't know how I would have handled things without Vocaloid. Reading all your comments make me feel that some of few might relate to my comment. I'm sorry I have a broken english. What I wanna say is that I love y'all in this community. The ones who uploaded translations, the ones that were sharing they interpretation of the song in the comments. Y'all made me feel I belonged somewhere.

This song... it made me tear up. When I was little, I was made to play violin and I despised it. I didn’t like it, so I didn’t try. I was bad at it. I thought that I would never be good at music, I thought that I’d never like music. I found it weird when I found that I loved the anime openings to my favourite anime’s, everyone at school thought it was weird that I liked Japanese songs. I could never love English songs, and I couldn’t bring myself to love violin. I didn’t even understand the Japanese songs, so I would find English translations and then people would ask what was the point. This made me think that I couldn’t love music, and if I ever were to, it would just be my weird Japanese songs.
This year, I discovered vocaloid, I discovered wowaka, and I realise now that all I need to do is find the music that I love. These ‘Japanese singing robots’ have inspired me so much, and are helping me through the toughest time in my life that I’ve faced. I know that I have a passion for music somewhere, and what wowaka and other vocaloid did for me can never be expressed in words. I havnt found my instrument yet, but I’ll try utau, and I hope that someday I can try something like guitar. Thank you, wowaka, and thank you Rishie P too, for creating music that inspired.

i joined this fandom after wowaka died, but i had discovered him before i even knew what vocaloid was. the first vocaloid song i ever listened to was rolling girl, and that song means an indescribable amount to me. the moment i found out he had passed, i was broken.

I learnt about vocaloid after Wowaka's death however I have heard many of his great songs and I can tell he was a very great producer. Even if I don't hold that much connection to Wowaka and his music but I hope he rests in peace

i remember the day i heard of his passing, i made a really bad art but i tried my best, i miss him since his "rolling girl" song hit me the most in relation to my life (in a way) so hearing that my favorite songs writer passed hurt.
I’ve only recently got into Vocaloid properly, and i can appreciate the amount of love and admiration that is given to Wowaka. Rolling Girl means a lot to me even though i never knew about Vocaloid when i was younger. But i see these tributes and it still revokes so much emotion, as if i was always a part of all this.

Wow, what a tribute... The man will forever be missed. I remember first discovering his work when I was just fifteen, freshly in love. Now I'm going to get married soon, to the same guy I developed feelings for while listening to Wowaka's music all those years ago. It was a special time in my life, and will be forever tied to Rolling Girl. RIP, Wowaka.

fun little anecdote: danny and i had to do the sonic equivalent of performing surgery on a grape with the drums to get them in time. there was blood. there was tears. there was a glitched cakewalk file, but it came out so much better than i could ever imagine. everyone - rishie, danny, the artists and supporters - all did a WONDERFUL job. this came out gorgeously. i’m so happy i got to be involved in this.

I'm really happy I was able to be hear for the première, even if I couldn't comment anything in the chat during it as I was too focused on the song! And now I need a few minutes to gather my thoughts haha. This is a lovely tribute to wowaka; it's easy to see just how much work you poured into this and it makes it all the more moving.
I feel like the song was slightly clumsy in ways I would not be able to explain - not that I know anything about music in the first place, so forgive me if this is a misplaced remark - yet the clumsiness was in itself charming. You've always made it clear just how much of an inspiration wowaka was for you but this really is on another level. The lyrics really embody the feelings of many people in the Vocaloid community, whether they are just fans of producers themselves. It's a highly personal tribute and in your simple words I think you managed to convey the most important feelings regarding wowaka's passing, and the legacy he left behind.
I must also commend you on the MV. It's the most elaborate you've made so far and the result is amazing. Congratulations to you and everyone who worked hard on making this happen. The drawings suited the song well and some visual effects, like the globe rolling around, were very creative and brought even more energy to this song.
Also, as obvious as it is, I feel like I can't not mention the song name. I feel like it really highlights how well you've woven the different parts of this song so that it manages to be both a tribute and another step in your own creator path. As always, your tuning sounded really good to me, and I love that I can understand the lyrics without too much difficulty just by listening - it might mostly stem from me not being a native English speaker but I often need to listen to a song quite a few times before making out the lyrics by ear, whereas Miku sounds really 'clear' here. Of course, that's not including the really fast parts. I really really loved these by the way! I was not expecting them and it ended up being such an interesting surprise! I feel like you're getting more confident "playing around" with the rhythm and it makes me all the more excited for your future songs.

I have loved Vocaloid for a good handful of years now and it's really heartwarming to see new creators in the community. i totaly get what you mean by clumsy.
im not an expert so i cant be sure but for me its mainly cuz of the structure of the lyrics (sometime the rhythm seems off because of the few last word of the rhyme. like if the song was kind of forced to have rhymes, which can be good. if you think of the whole rhytmes structure. preffer not doing rhymes if your sentences are better without. which is what i feel for some here), or even the lyrics itself (i *personaly* find some sentence really childish. but that give a real cute aspect tho, so that not bad. and it kind of make a contrast compared of Wowaka's lyrics, that often isnt at all childish, but too much serious. but that clearly more personal).
for the instrumental i find it totaly clean and very good tho, i love all the little details in it when listening on a good headset and focusing.
and the mv can have a little clumsy aspect too. the way its animated, also the way some art is used too. but im clearly sucks even more at doing mv than musics so i can't tell

This is an incredible song and I can’t believe I miss Wowaka this much. He did so much with the music he released and it’s not fair he had to leave so early
I can't even express in words how this makes me feel. Even though we never met him, even though he was far away and spoke a different language than many of us, he touched our hearts so much. I hope he knew that, how much he touched so many people. Thank you for this song, I hope he is hearing it somewhere. His songs mean so much to me, so much to so many people, and we will never forget him. He lives on through everything that he did for us

My friend made a tribute song for wowaka, she got extremely upset that he died and now calls herself a fake fan because she only found out about him in 2020. All the decisions she makes involves the question “would it make wowaka happy?”, I don’t know how to help her. She thinks her tribute song is a disgrace to him, please go listen to it. The references to Unhappy Refrain and Unknown Mother Goose had me straight up sobbing. Great tribute, the lyrics and everything about this song are so emotional.
I remember hearing the news in 2020; I was in such a dark place in 2019, wanting to run away from it all. Enter 2020, when we were locked away, I caught up with one of my favorite Vocaloid RUclipsrs and he brought the news about wowaka to my attention. He produced Rolling Girl, my favorite Vocaloid song, heck, all of the songs I heard from him were amazing. His death was a shocker for a lot of us, but what he left us with impacted both the Vocaloid and music worlds forever. Hearing the news, I expected to relive the agony of that day for a long time, but instead, I realized one of my dreams; to produce Vocaloid music. Wowaka's death haunts me to this day however, I wonder why God let him die instead of me. He had more to offer, so why?

God.. Wowaka helped me must much. I heavily related to Rolling Girl and Unhappy Refrain so much. Especially Rolling Girl, that song helped through so much crap because I had a song to project onto, to listen to and know that it was okay, to remind me to keep rolling on just one last time. The moment I found out he died.. I cried. I cried so much. I just hope he's making more masterpieces in another life, in another world. And helping others have a reason to keep breathing.

i got in the vocaloid fandom not to long after he passed away but at that time i never heard of him until one day i was listening to juby phonic and i listened to her rolling girl cover then found more of wowaka's songs and omg i loved all of them then shooshiemooshie came out with a video about rolling girl but before i watched his video i did some research on rolling girl(cause i was always curious about the meaning of that song)and i eventually found out he passed away not too long after i joined the vocaloid fandom i got really sad because i loved his music and knowing he wouldn't be able to make more made me upset (i did watch the shooshiemoohie video dont worry lol) i still listen to his songs and every time i see tribute's like these always make me cry wowaka has a very special place in my heart and to this day i still thank him for his beautiful songs
