I don't watch Steven Universe, but this song put together with the laundry is so chill, like, I can't describe it guys it's just so enthralling, intense and mesmerizing to me in my mind. Everything about this video seems so peaceful and futuristic, yet at the same time is tinged with the sense of loss and something foreign. Like a small world, i guess, with only a few people left remaining in it. Coming from a world that has 7 billion people and when we go outside they're everywhere, that's strange to me, imagining such an empty earth. It feels like the end of summer, a farewell to childhood, nostalgia. A sense of rhythm, repetition and simplicity. I guess the video is just very human to me as I watch the laundry being dried, and taking what I know of Steven Universe and the Gems, that's surprising.

I was watching it because it was created by Rebecca Sugar and some of her songs from Adventure Time were absolutely incredible and I heard from so many people on the internet how good it was so I thought I'd at least give it a fair shot, but I was fully prepared not to like it. The farther into the show I got, the more I came to enjoy it and it's developments. It's not a perfect show, but it's now one of my favorites. If I told myself that like a year ago I would never have believed it and would've probably been hesitant to watch it considering how outside my demographic it is, but I regret nothing TL;DR You should decide for yourself whether or not to watch it, and then decide for yourself whether or not you like it. I love this song it makes me feel sad, and happy at the same time honestly I don't know what to feel when listening to this song but it's so beautiful. Also to those of you who aren't sure who this song is about and who is singing it so here are a few answers. It has been confirmed as quote "Rose's Farewell" which could imply that she is the one singing it and as to who it's about, it's most likely her expressing her feelings for either Greg or Pearl (most likely Greg) and how she says this one lyric "when i see the way you act wondering when I'm coming back" could hint at the song being sung in the present tense. But it could be about Steven maybe it's her singing about how she could never do the things Steven can do and how he thinks she's so amazing but she knows she's not. But the thing that i question the most is. Can Rose see through Steven's eyes, like Pearl thought in "Rose's Scabbard" but it feels like she actually can. Let's get some theories based on pervious lyrics ok so keep in mind the singer is pretty obviously Rose, so upon going back here are the possible things that "took so long" a) shaken by how long it took for Rose to love ("I could even learn how to love") b) shaken by how long it too for Rose to come back ("Wondering when I'm coming back") c) shaken by how long it took for Rose to admit she might be bad (I always thought, I might be bad) ok let's start by saying Rose is probably either singing to Steven, Pearl, or Greg now lets analyze c: c) this is saying who Rose was singing to thought she was bad and wanted her to admit it, this just couldn't be Greg, Pearl, or Steven, maybe a homeworld gem but that doesn't match the rest of the song a) this sounds like it could come from Greg, and "I could even learn how to love" is the main lyric of the song, and after the events of "We need to talk" we know it was a while before Rose really respected Greg and she "learned how to love" but there are a few problems with this: 1, we have access to this scene and Greg wasn't exactly "shaken" in fact he didn't even realize she was really loving *him* until THAT scene and it does't match the themes of the rest of the song i.e. the rest of the song is talking about how Pearl/Greg/Steven think Rose is flawless so this line doesn't quiet fit b) holy shit, this might be it!
