The Japanese Tiger Tank in War Thunder is a pretty old Premium Tank. Named the Heavy Tank No. 6 it's a Tiger H hull with a Tiger E turret. What's really fun, though... it faces German Tigers who don't really have any idea how to take you out.
This makes it extremely fun to play. Also, it's a Tiger... what more could you ask for! One of the most fun tanks to play in War Thunder.

Odd calls it the submarine tank because whilst on it's way to Japan from Germany, the submarine transporting it was sunk by an American warship and the Tiger prototype was never delivered.

That didn't happen. The Tiger that the Japanese paid for, was never loaded into any boat or submarine. It ended up fighting in Normandy.
It ended up in Japan other wise this would have been a thing

@@CyberneticArgumentCreator Props was for the fact that the Jap Tiger was massively cheaper as a starter pack than a market place tank and for those smart enough to have gotten it before it was removed from the in-game pack.

@@hakzource8660 I played a match recently where a Dauphine was destroying anyone that came near the objective. It was the only tank holding the team together.
FINALLY somebody talks about Pzgr.! This shell is absolutely incredible, it can overpressure anything that comes your way! IS-3's, jumbo Pershings, you name it!
I even killed a m18 with a missed shot. It overpressured it from below (shot too low)
Yep, odd bringing out 2 HE shells was pointless really. I once overpressured an m18 by shooting a wall it was leaned up against with the Pzgr. lol

Well this tank is lootable in every trophy so the number of tanks being sold with be approximatively constant. From what i Saw the lowest you Can Hope to buy it is 60€-70€ (generally happen during sales when people are trying to sell their unused coupon quickly to buy packs) so you will just have to wait
Next sales are in early may but those are generally only 30% off so dunno if it will reduce that much
However in late june there is sales at 50% off for packs so the Price should drop at that moment
If you see during those periode the tank should have buying order for 60-70€ so you can then put your buying order (try to be Always the highest buying order so check regularly if anyone put a buying order above do you cancel your and put a New one above him)

Funny thing my girlfriend told me yesterday "look what a fluffy tank!" and here it was, Tigor tonk from Odd. Oddly enough we don't share WiFi, so literally no idea how it came up on her feed. Either she's watching Odd, or Odd is watching us 😮

It's a sub because the allies sunk the convoy ship that was carrying it to Japan, putting it at the bottom of the sea and preventing it from ever reaching Japan.
I always see people using the pzgr 39 even though the pzgr is better because of explosive mass

I love this tank, but I think the best part of it is the lineup you can build around it. Plus with the green camo that it has you can make it look like a USSR tank which is cursed
The dark brown japanese camo realy fits on that tiger now I want to see the other camos
I've had the Heavy Tank No 6 for a while now and it's usually fantastic when I do play it. Surprised it was still less than $100 after all this time.

Hey Odd ! You should play the Isu - 152 ! It's a nice SPAA on a steady platform with good armor and it has the special abilities of making someone disappear every 30 seconds !
Never really considered the over pressure with that round, so I mostly go for the 165mm of pen instead. I carry HEAT for open tops and trucks and apcr if im trying to barrel, or mantlet a jumbo other than that a shot to the side of a jumbo or machinegun port usually takes them out in one shot so I never consider the extra explosive mass at 153mm simply because the 165mm of pen was doing everything I needed it to do.

It seems too simple, but my guess for him calling it submarine was that the disassembled tiger was being transported to japan in a submarine, and was sunk
all submarine jokes aside, would be really cool if you could research and equip snorkels for you tank, would extend your drown time to 60+ seconds

This tank should be in the Japanese tech tree, perhaps as a purchasable premium. That tree desperately needs more vehicles, especially around 5.7.
It once was available as purchasable premium atleast on console. 2,700GE was the price i think.

Hey Odd. I don't think you've done a video on it yet, but the Italian P40 has an aphe shell with 270g explosive mass... at 3.3. I have non penned jpz4s with it and still killed them because of the explosive mass.

The Artillery sounded like some BIG popcorn popping. Also, this Heavy Tank#6 was down to 78 GJN the other day so that bites you had to get t for 90 GJN. I wondered since the GJN is basically the price of 1 U.S. dollar, do people that have a currency that is way less than the American wouldn't them people be paying more than an American would? That seems a bit unfair I think, that's if they do.

Ive opened 10 crates in total on WT, and got this and the T-V, the HT#6 is one of my favorites in the game.
To be honest coming across a Tiger when I play is great, because they're so easy to kill when they don't know how to play it

Man I have the Tiger H1 and PT-76B both ready to buy, and I am really close with BMP2M. I'm not sure if i should even bother buying them at this point tho because I only have like 1.6 mil SL.... I get destroyed in every wager and junk, like it isn't even funny. If the game was just a bit more consistent I would spend money on it, but as is I can't.

Funny thing is, I have more luck with the Japanese Tiger than with the regular one, and I feel the pain of uptiers less. Up against postwar super heavy tanks? No fear.
This is also another one of those vehicles I regret not picking up, I’m pretty sure it was around £18-20 when i last seen it on the store.

No, it's not.
"H" and "E" are not different versions of the Tiger 1. The Tiger 1 had only a single version letter : the letter "E".
At first the tank had no version letter, but when "E" was assigned in 1943, it applied to all Tiger 1 that were ever built.
The "H" designation was NOT a version letter. It was merely a way to distinguish the two different tanks called "Tiger" that were being developed in 1942. When the Tiger (P) became unimportant then there was no more need to point out which was which.
And there's another mistake in that sentence !
The writer seems to think that the brown Tiger in the video is a hybrid, with a turret and hull made at different times.
Well, no it's not. That Tiger is a STANDARD version from the autumn of 1943.
Tigers built in August 1943 had the new turret, plus the air filters, plus the S mines.... they were exactly like this game tank.
AND the Tiger sold to the Japanese was this type.
So don't knock the game designers - they got this right.

I think people dont shoot because they see Germany on their team, and think you're just getting them confused with the enemy team, rather than you actually being an enemy

Can you try to get a double kill with the bt-42? its possible with the HE, i did it today by hitting a bt's lower plate and killing him and a japanese land navy gun thing
