The Ho-Ri Production is a Japanese Tank Destroyer with a 105mm cannon at battle rating 7.3! This vehicle used to stomp around at 6.7 giving everyone a hard time but what's it like to play now? Today, we find out! :)
The Ho-Ri platform comes in all shapes and sizes. This is the last of the evolution for this vehicle and funnily enough it was the same Battle Rating as the Object 120 for a period of time. The frontal armour is quite impressive boasting 220mm in places but a very weak lower plate with only 120mm.
The good news is, this vehicle has 1100hp making it extremely fast for its weight of 65 tonnes and THAT makes it very fun to play! :)

I learned a lot by watching Odd playing. I've learned enemy weak spots, the best sniping and flanking spots, a lot of tactics or when and how to take the initiative, etc. Watching him play is like a training video. And he's quite informative when speaking about the tanks he use and how to fight certain enemies.
I remember like it was yesterday. On a big map like Fulda or Fire arc. I courageously throttle up my full up tiered m18 with pure confidence to take a wide flank.
I can still hear the tracks clanking and they struggled to get through a random patch of mud the snail added but forgot to change the color of the grass, then we slammed into a rock that wasn't modeled. But we kept going, young and dumb. I remember looking up at our commander on the .50 and thinking "bruh why yo hands so big".
Then we saw it.
This giant Japanese tank.
We observed for a moment as he layed down his barrel and lined a shot up on a teammate... boom.
It was at that moment I saw his roof open up and I knew what I had to do..
I pushed 3 to change to High Explosive Shell. I then coughed really loud so I could fire the shell in our breach so the loader could insert the other one. I told him to just eject the unused shell so we could save it for later, but he said that's not in the game.
We waited for the tank to aim his barrel down, opening up his roof and then, with my palms sweaty, mom's spaghetti, I fired ...
Nothing happened as I found out that gaijin doesn't see that as an open top.
And as quick as I could say "son of a .."
He turned towards our position with the speed of a rattlesnake, disturbed by a boot, I slammed it into reverse.. right into a tree. And boom.
I still visit that tree every once in a while.
Yeah fight that tank in a m109 is such a pain

Concept 3 at 6.7 with the Spitfire F Mk 22?
11th time asking you to play 8.7 Sweden, the gist of it is that you get constant downtiers to 7.7, you face German teammates more often than not, and you will see a lot of king tigers. Also include the Saab 105 g. It’s stupidly op with a full bomb load. T55M, strv103c, strv104, ikv-91-105, veak40, and rush with the itpsv90. IT IS STUPID FUN.🤩

I appreciate seeing the battle and hearing the dialogue giving insight into why you are doing the things you are or aren't doing in each situation.
Long games where you explain your thought process are the best
Confirmed, the Kikka only has one gun stock. It’s painful trying to spade it.

It used to be a later modification, tier 3 modification to be exact iirc, I think they made it a tier 1 modification recently tho.
@@Ko_Kasumi You're right, it is a rank 1 mod now. Definitely helps, but universal or stealth belts are better than tracers for Japanese 30mms unless I am mistaken.
@@veritusahriman9720 you'd be correct, the tracer HE has iirc half the filler the non tracer variant has. Which is still a lot so it isn't a bad option but still.
I like the longer games and thought explanations. I like having someone that reliably does both types of content. I know Spookston will have faster videos with funny reactions, and I know you will have more "tactics" and explanations for them. Finding you both having a video of the same tank is always a treat to me.

Definitely like the longer format. You do a really good job of explaining WHY you do what you do, and that has helped my play quality improve tremendously.
This thing is an absolute menace if you are on the receiving end and you are on open territory with long sight lines. At least in city maps it can't always get hull down to protect its transmission, making it easy to flank it or run away. On big open maps it will get hull down and you are stuck firing at those flat front panels next to the cannon to get rid of crew. You can't always flank them because they might spot you, and he's always got 2 crew left that you will never get to up front under that angled front plate when he's hull down. At that point you just have to hope you can get an angle where you can lob a powerful enough shell on his roof without being spotted or taken out by his team mate. Sometimes that's a little easier to do on the hilly desert maps.

The Ho-Ri production in the highest slot of WW2-ish ground sim is an absolute menace if played well. Most of the obnoxious heat-fs light tanks arent in that bracket, and uptiers don't exist.
I would love another War Thunder Story type video that you've done before, that second match felt like one.
I watch the videos not (only) for the jokes and accent, but specifically the narration and commentary on tactics and game play. Yes I love these long form vids.

Love your long form methodical videos, but I also do enjoy your quick funny clips at the beginning of the video. In addition your medium length games are good too...
I do preffer the longer content, knowing how you got into the position to get the kill is way more interesting and entertaining then just kill montages.
The shot to the super pershing is actually a pretty good one, that is the weakspot of the super pershing, the turret behind the ears is free eats all the time

I got a talisman for this tank from the warbonds shop. Grinded all of rank 5 and got the type 16 p so quickly. It's an absolute beast (multiple games in a row with 9+ kills)

Personally I love this type of content. While I enjoy single tank reviews, I also love to see you take out planes as well. Show the true War Thunder experience. I’d love to see more true gameplay experiences with full line ups.

The jumpcut killstreaks are fine for intros or montages here and there, but I like to see a bit more of just overall positioning and situation judging stuff personally.

I like your longer games where you show more of your strategy and movements.
I've watched a couple of your longer form videos, and I've used a number of your techniques you've mentioned to go from averaging 8th-14th on a scoreboard to averaging 4th-6th, depending on if I've spaded a vehicle yet.
I switched to the Japanese tree because I was tired of grinding all the US Sherman, and thought it would be faster to get to top tier. I think the 🇯🇵 M24 is my best scoring tank lol
Early game Japan is such a painful thing to play
@@nakolulu411Chi Ha Kai for below 3.0 and Chaffee for up to 6.7 plus the HE slingers they get makes it kiiiinda ok if you dont get matched vs the US or British because you aint penning shit.

Weird, I was playing 7.7 France today and had one of these on my team covering a corner. I kept him repaired, and he kept killing everything. Eventually we both got bombed, but the guy was a monster and had to have gotten 7 or 8 kills.
Was it Maginot?

I get nukes in the Ho-Ri Production quite often. 7.3 is one of my favorite ground rb lineups just because of this, on par with my 11.0 lineup. It might be because of the Ho-Ri is uncommon, but using it in close quarters is really effective for some reason, as not many people know where to shoot.
Even in the Proto with quite weak cheeks, it's amazing how many shots you'll absorb

Heres a line up you can use Ho Ri production, m47, sta 3,maybe the ho ri prototype, kikka or ki 84 depend on taste, and sub 1-2 for AA
You should do a updated t-72Va (Turms T) video. It's not as good as it use to be. But I'm sure that you'll get 1000 nukes with it.

I faced this the other day, let's just say a third of my team died trying to kill it and in the end it died to an m22's arty of all things
Tiger 2 105mm, Panther 2 and Mause were removed and new players can´t get them anymore, but this prototype which never existed is still in game, I don´t understand mentality of Gayjin.

Had the most insane match ever in this thing back when it was either 6.7 or 7.0, Mozdok the version where you can shoot spawn to spawn. I just sat hull down for the entire match with most of the enemy team wailing on me, including several bomb/rocket atempts. I survived for the entire 12min of the match, my gun/breach was broken for most of it but the thing just refused to die ^^ .

I personally enjoy battle games. You can play a lot more methodically and create a proper frontline. Some maps are just so bad for it though but some are great for it
