The song was wriiten when the lads started in the band and were in college. They entered a battle of the bands and came third. The feelings they felt afterwards inspired the song.. No problems😉
Is duine réasúnta aosta mise. B' fhéidir gur seanleaid atá orm (ní mhothaím mar sin féin) ach nuair a chloisim an amhrán seo, cuirtear na sceitímíní orm agus bainim an sásamh go bhfuil ár dteanga go fóill beo. Tá ré na Coronas beag nó mór thart, ach tá an ceol nua-aoiseach ag dul i dtreise. Tá "Seo Linn" againn agus fíú amháin "Kneecap" ann. Tá an Ghaeilge bheo i measc an aosa óig. Nach deas an scéal é! Faorar, tá an Ghaeilge ag dul i laige i neart ceantrachaí Gaeltachta. ach tá fás le feicéail taobh amuigh. Nuair a bhí mé ag freastal ar Ollscoil na Ríona i mBéal Feirste ( níos mó dhá scór bliain ó shin) dúirt léachtóir iomráiteach le Gaeilge liomsa nach mbeadh páistí á dtógáil le Gaeilge sa bhliain 2020 ach corr ceann anseo agus ansíúd. Níl rudaí chomh dona leis sin mar tá na mílte páistí á dtógail le Gaeilge in Éirinn go fóill, ach tá an Ghaeilge leochaileach sna lán slite agus tá gá le troid a dhéanamh chun í a chaomnú agus níos tábhartartaí í a neartú. Why are my comments in in Irish? Irish was the language spoken by the majority of the Irish people until the Great Famine or in Irish the Great Hunger(An Gorta Mór), It's decline is inextricably linked to oppression by English rule. Ireland was not alone as Scotland's rich Gaelic culture was also subject to such oppression. I comment in Irish to show that despite all this Irish remains as a living language.
Is it just me or is every song just ten times better in Irish?

So this is the day I learn that there is actually an irish language. I thought they just speak funny english.
Irish isn't that beautiful of a language but he made the song beautiful in both Irish and English.
Fionn Murphy maybe in your opinion, I think Irish is gorgeous!
An bhfuil tú as do mheabhair ar fad?
gaeilge is one of the most beautiful languages. it should be spoken way much more but it is a very difficult language to learn unfortunetely
@@Laura-xz8fy it's one of the easier ones as well.
