Thanks for this video brother! After watching it a couple of times, I was able to replace my 2017 Nissan Rogue blower in about 2 hrs, saving myself a pile of money. One quote last week was over 850 dollars and that was the garage down the street - one car dealer said it would be around 1,200 dollars or more. Thanks again brother!
Thank you for this video. I was able to get the motor installed quickly, in about the same time as you did in the video. I bought the fan online which cost me about 66% less than the national car parts store down the road.
I want to personally thank you for the video ! I replaced the blower easily with your guide and help ! God bless you and your family! Carlos from Puerto Rico !!!
Great video, this was a live saver. One thing on my 2020 Rogue S, there was another set of wires harnessed to the side of the original blower motor. I had to cut off the harness before I could take out the motor. Other than that, the replacement went well and we're enjoyimg AC again! Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
Great video, learned a lot. Unfortunately I didn't discover this instructable in time and used another method to remove the blower. I used a slightly more laborious method, a bit of brute force, although I think it's faster. First I literally threw myself headfirst under the dash. I'm a skinny person so I don't recommend this for XL people. You can barely reach the blower to remove the screw and wire. Then it's harder to free the motor as you can only use one hand in a position where you can't use much force to turn it. I lightly tapped the lip with a screwdriver and managed to get it to move, then I was able to remove it. But then I found out there was no room to get it out. That's where I offended everyone I could offend, realizing I had to take out a bunch of parts. But because I'm stubborn, after removing the glove box, I removed all the screws from the frame behind the glove box and realized it was possible to move the whole plastic piece a bit. So I forced it a little while removing the blower and got it. It works, but I will not pay any compensation if someone uses this method and destroys their car.😊
😮 I'm doing this on my 2015 Nissan Rogue tomorrow morning. I sure hope it goes as smoothly as you made it look. LOL this is not the first time I've taken on an unfamiliar job so I'm ready for all challenges. But watching this video sure did ease my mind on how it will go. Thank you for posting this video
It is really not that bad , I mentioned in the video the cabin filter. This is the time you will want to replace it , with the blower motor out You have to fold the filter slightly to install it and reaching in where the blower fan goes helps to make sure it is straightened out. Best of luck on yours and I thank you for the feedback.
Update: I managed to get a pair of oil filter pliers in there to turn the motor clockwise. I was not able to use the oil filter pliars the way they were designed to use. I had to stick both ends of the wrench inside those fins and use it as leverage to turn from both sides. I was able to get the new motor in without any trouble. When I tried spinning the fan it didn't appear to make any noises but when I put the new motor in and tested it out, it worked. Everything is back together now with no damage. Although I have two screws that I missed somewhere. Job complete.
Great video. One question; may be obvious but I have to ask. Once you have the motor in, you mention that you test it. How? Did you just turn on the car and just try the heat/AC? Thanks!
Basically I tested it by hooking up the controls and very little else . The main thing is to make sure it is working before getting everything put back together. Thank you for watching.
Will this work on 2016 rogue with three rows? It just looks very slightly different. I don’t have a push start. I could figure out the panels I just want to make sure I get the right fan
Excellent video, ac control panel didn't come off as easy as the video but other than that video worked great with 2018 Rogue S . I checked the blower motor after I removed it and it was good. So, do you have a video for replacing the blower resistor?
Update: As noted below, I am attempting to replace mine this morning. I'm at the point where I have complete access to the blower motor and I have removed the plug and the screw but I have completely failed in being able to turn the motor one direction or the other. It looks like I need to turn it clockwise to remove it, but it won't budge! I have the replacement motor, and I see no other fasteners other than the one screw.
Yes , it needs to rotate clockwise. It does not need to turn much and you will feel it click. Mine turned easily but the space is limited and you might have to try and get a better grip somehow. On another note if you have made this far , you are doing great.
I have rogue 2016, two days ago replaced my blower motor and it was working nicely..but today when I was driving the air stop coming!!blower motor it's working, if you have any idea!!
Yes it is , I have not came across one buried in there quite this far before. The cabin filter is not too easy either. Hope it last for a while. Thank you for watching.
Thinking this may be my problem with my Nissan. However, you can hear the motor and heat going through after driving consistently above 45. Auto parts store guy said it may just be stuck or had excess dust in the blower fan. Thoughts from anyone?
I got to the part where you take out the blower motor. Removed the screw, pulled out the connector. Now I can't turn it clockwise. It is stuck. Any tips, please?
Some of these get stuck , I have heard others make mention of this. Basically it will just take more force or maybe leverage by some means. Wish I could be more help.
I would suspect the resistor next. Try turning the fan on all the way high. If it turns on it is a bad resistor. if not I would check the fuse box for a bad fuse. Hope this helps. Here is the resistor amzn.to/40wDTau
It doesn't sound too unreasonable . If it was more than 2 I would think that was excessive. This is definitely a job most anyone could diy and save some money. I appreciate the feedback.
Very detailed and thorough. I feel much more confident in replacing my HVAC Blower Motor after watching this video
I really appreciate the great feedback.

Thank you very much for the great feedback.
Thank you for preventing me hours of frustration! You're the best!

I can barely get mine to twist to remove it. It twist about a millimeter and nothing more. How did u get yours out exactly?

Excellent , thank you for the follow up . I am glad the video was well put together and helpful.
Thanks for this video!, I had it swapped in 30mins, removing the stereo wasn't necessary on mine which is 17 Rogue S
Nice work , and thank you for the great feedback.
Great video - thank you !
Thank you for the feedback much appreciated.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. All that work for a blower. I believe if mine goes bad I will have to pay for it. LOL
I appreciate you watching and the feedback.
I will do with my 2018 rouge one , thanks for sharing very detail video
I really appreciate the feedback , thank you.
Did the video coincide with your 2018 Rogue? Just wondering if they may be some differences between the Rogue in the video and a 2018.
Thank you so much, man. I just replaced mine watching your video.
I really appreciate the terrific feedback , thank you.
How easily were you able to rotate the blower motor once you got the plug and screw out? Mine will not budge!
Great video. One question; may be obvious but I have to ask. Once you have the motor in, you mention that you test it. How? Did you just turn on the car and just try the heat/AC? Thanks!

I just made a RUclips account just to comment on this and say thank you!

@@s33therfan and I meant to tell you earlier that you do a fantastic job of explaining things thoroughly.
I really appreciate that .
Thank you so much!!! This really helped me out. 🇺🇲🫡 2 you sir

Bro u need to be a mechanic teacher I just finished doing my wife car now🎉
I appreciate you watching and thank you for the feedback.
Honest question, will it not fit through the glove box opening without removing the rest of the dash?
Great video
Thanks!

Thanks this helped me out a lot. Took about an hour and an half. How long did it take you in real time?
Great to hear , thank you for the feedback.
would this be the same for replacing the blower motor resistor?

@@s33therfan I was finally able to turn it with groove plyers. It was tough.
Got the blower out. There was a mouse nest there.
@@s33therfan Thank you very much for this video, by the way. I would have never been able to do this job without it.
Thank you
Thank you for watching.
Many many thanks
Most welcome , thank you for the feedback.
