Chaka's nearly 70 yr old, the keys she sung in her earlier years are so high that she can't sing in those keys anymore, it's called aging. Truth be told not many of today's singers can sing in her highest key. Her remake of Michael Jackson "Got to be there" is one song that many female singers have admitted they will not touch, because it's so difficult. The bridge of I'm every woman was impossible for Whitney Houston to perform live without a backing track to help her.

While the looks on Etta and Gladys faces send em every time, I also peep how Etta held Chakas back through out this show and it warms my heart. Etta had her own battle with substances during her career and she knew Chaka was high as a kite and still loved her thru it. That's real black girl magic. Chaka is a true singer ...not just cuz she's singing like that while high but because she is so high and still cognizant of blending... her voice is clearly more powerful than theirs here but she make sure to blend until the time is right to do all her extras...a skill many people don't have sober
