I met Paolini back in 2019 at a book signing. He is such a great guy and the reason I am working on my book. Love that you shared this experience.
I haven’t ever been to a book event like that but I have been to a couple of writing conferences and met some authors there. There’s one in Utah called LTUE that’s all about science fiction and fantasy every February that you’d probably enjoy
Oh my, this is so cool! To meet an author who writes what you write, wow. This was a long day, and I don't know how any of you had the stamina to stay. AND I'm astonished that this was the first time someone in public said they recognise you from RUclips ... but also maybe everyone else is like me, and would feel too nervous about interrupting you. Unlikely to happen for me, here in Australia. I think I'm finally going to have to get back into dragon books.
Haven't read any Christopher Paolini's books but I always attend any conferences about books and writing here in my country. Gives us a glimpse into their lifestyle.
"Don't be ashame of your interest." Damn I got chills when he said that.
:)
Love it, Christopher Paolini is the reason I first made a Twitter (X) account in 2010, anticipating his release of "Inheritance". Have always had appreciation for him as not only an author, but also for the lengths that he goes to make his fans happy, that's something that gains major respect from me.
It was really cool to see him talk so passionately!
This was awesome. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
You literally made my day telling me that TSIASOS is getting adapted. I think about that book all the time lol
Man this video made me think I should really get Murtagh, even just because of nostalgia.
Eragon was the first fantasy series I read as a kid, or maybe in my early teens, and also it was my first fantasy book in English(not my mother language but honestly at this point might as well be). I have so many memories reading the books, especially Brisingr because I reread that one a lot.
And without spoilers, Inheritance does something towards and in the end that rarely any author telling this story does. It was very satisfying.
Thanks for sharing this with us :) What a cool experience! I went to a Literature Festival in Berlin Germany a few months ago, where Jeffrey Eugenides was talking about his work and I went to a signing afterwards as well. He wished me luck with my writing which was quite cool as well :)
I'm wondering, have you started to take notes on your second book of your series yet?
Cheering you in with whatever you are doing and sending you much love and creative vibes
Oh hey, that's my head! I was sitting right in front of you lol!
Oh that's so funny!! So sorry to include the back of your head so much 😂 you had a great spot!
@SaraLubratt lol you're fine!! I'm honored 🤣
I was wondering if you ever got recognized. Have you found a copy of Eragon yet? If you can't get through the books try the Audiobooks. It's how I got through the series. At some point, I'll get Murtagh.
That was the first time :). I should try the audiobooks!
This video was perfect timing for me. Even when the book is done and published there's much work to do in order to sell it and get it out there. Might as well enjoy it and embrace the journey on all legs of the trip. On a separate note, I hope you also wear a crazy hat during your book signings. 😂😂⛑️🎓🎩👒🧢
