People should be allowed to get an abortion if they’re under 21, were raped, have a medical condition that may complicate childbirth, or incest. The Alabama bill doesn’t allow any of this. No need to trash the guy. He was polite and respectful, open to debate, actually argued his point (albeit poorly), and eventually conceded. I'm sure he will meditate on it and either 1) accept that abortion is wrong, or 2) come up with better arguments. The only reason for shitting on him would be if he were to ignore Ben's arguments and childishly insist on his debunked opinion (like the modal leftist). We have no evidence to suggest this though, so nothing to criticize here.

      Hexl702 - Pro-life advocates, who merely advocate for allowing nature to take its course, don't have to justify their position of non-action! It's the action taken by pro-abortionists & those who advocate for the specific physical act of killing an innocent autonomous human-being in its early stage of development & thereby depriving it of its basic human right to life that require justification for intervening & imposing their will on nature with that specific action. Btw: there's is no moral justification

    • @GFORCE546
      @GFORCE546 6 лет назад +7

      Btw: Despite the facts regarding moral justification described above - Here's undeniable support for pro-life tenets - There are approx 7 billion live examples of human-beings on this planet; every single one of them, without exception, began their physically atanomous existence as a zygote, embryo fetus; without those specific stages of human development, the entire history of the human experience would cease to exist! That fact is strong evidence for the value to be placed on those particular stages of human development! & that value precludes the arbitrary killing of that human life form...period.

      DANG JOS -
      It's an insurmountable argument! Why? Cuz ants aren't endowed with basic inalienable natural/human rights; Human-beings ARE afforded those rights. Genetic codes are the lowest common denominator in distinguishing all life on this planet. Our DNA (which is the blueprint for the human genome) being present at conception, designates our species classification (homosapien/human-being) & therefore grants the pre-sentient, pre-born human-being the basic human right to life.

"...relies on the woman's womb to grow"? Really? It also relied on his & her actions to be created in the first place! It wasn't its decision...so it's not its responsibility...which btw, grants it entitlement!

      @Charmed Diaries the baby may not be entitled to the mother's womb but neither is the mother entitled to kill someone. So we have an impasse.
      I am a landlord. My tenants sometimes fail to pay rent. If I attempt to remove them by force, I am committing a crime (to say nothing of trying to kill them in order to remove them from the property!). Instead, I must begin eviction proceedings in order to remove them... it takes months. Maybe we should treat occupation of the womb the same way we treat delinquent tenants. By the time the eviction date comes, the baby will be viable outside the womb and her life can be spared. That seems just and humane

      FindingChrist one could argue that your comment is rather biased to only value human beings. A life is a life no matter what species it is. Moral objectivity requires that we remove bias from the equation. Actually, spiders and insects are a good comparison because an unborn (and unwanted) fetus and insects both do not have the awareness and memories and emotions and people that love them that you and I have. Therefore there is no point in placing moral value on an unborn fetus other than to say because it is human, which is completely biased and arbitrary.

    A child is not a burden, if you feel they are, you, are a burden to society. Yes having children comes with a load of responsibility, and that is why you should weigh the pros and cons of getting laid, because boy do they have as many pros as they do cons, but mostly pros. If you feel you cannot raise a kid yet, don't be irresponsible, and if you chose to be careless, admit that you are a careless and irresponsible person, man up or woman up, avoid making the same mistakes, and be ready to work twice as hard, because that will be one of the cons of having a baby when your not fit to be a parent. And anyone who tries to defend their right to have an abortion on the backs of rape victims, and victims of incest rape, what kind of monster are you?! I think this guy at least had the intellectual honesty to interact with Ben. So many of these prepared questions that are trying to 'catch Ben off guard' have no actual interest in what Ben wants to say.
    If you watch the full video (it may have been a different one, but I think it was last night), there was another girl who asked about abortion that was trying to get Ben to state that he would prosecute women who have an abortion with murder. When he explained that he wouldn't because he didn't feel there was necessarily an element of intent based on societal "norms", she basically fell apart and kept trying to convince him that he should want to prosecute them for murder. Hexl702 - Yes, many ppl are irresponsible & don't "want" to take responsibility for their actions; But that in no way gives credibility to the ridiculous claim that anyone would be "forced" to be or remain pregnant! They are already pregnant (because of their own actions) & they wouldn't be "forced" to "do" anything at all; rather they'd be prohibited, under the law, from encroaching on the rights of another (As we all are. That's what laws are designed to do) People aren't "forced" to not commit crimes against their fellow human-beings...they are prohibited from violating the rights of others! & Since the discovery of DNA by Francis Crick & James Watson in 1953 & all the scientific advances in that field since then (like the discovery that all life forms on this planet are distinguished by one common denominator - their DNA code, which is attained at the moment of their conception) It has now been scientifically determined & established that the human genome begins it's amazing process right from the start of it's existence & that the human-being attains its own separate & distinct DNA code at that point...making it distinct & separate from its mother & therefore a unique human-being. It is simply the first stage of a human-being's development & as such, falls squarely within the protections granted to all human-beings - the basic "right to life". And as an undeniable member of the human race, limited "equal protection under the law" should also apply; such as protection against threats of intentional & arbitrary destruction at the hands of another human-being! The wants, desires, ambitions, aspirations etc...of one human-being should have absolutely no effect or consequence on the basic human rights of another...Period.

If you can't tell the difference between "forcing" ppl to "do" something & preventing them from "doing" something (like violating basic human rights) then I can't help you; however, most ppl w/a basic understanding of logic & common sense can certainly tell the difference...as it's not that hard to grasp basic logical propositions. & all your extreme leftist, anti-life, verbal diarrhea & pointless, mindless drivel won't take from the scientific basic biology of the human genome & it's implications on the abortion issue! Maybe someday you'll understands & grasp the tide/turn in public opinion on this matter; if not, c'est la vie - the rest of society certainly gets it!

Appointed Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court - unapologetically pro-life!...to name just two! & he's filling his cabinet with pro-life advocates...but don't worry, im sure you're like most lefties who can ignore facts to appease your irrational bias! Like these facts - Since Trump took office - He won the "Pro-life Person Of The Year" Malachi Award for - denying public funds to planned parenthood & other death cult organizations, launched a formal investigation into PP's illegal baby parts trafficking, supports the "Pain Capable Unborn Child Act" which bans late-term abortions nationwide, struck down the obamacare mandate that forced states to fund PP, soon to be removing obamacare's mandate that forces cos w/religious/moral objections to supply abortifecient drugs via Ins coverage - yeah, he's really been just great for your death cult activism!!! Pft! & don't forget bout the actual figures regarding the # of active abortion clinics in the US - avg of 26% decline each year!!! But as I said above - Don't worry, you can live in denial so the facts don't effect you. The rest of us will watch in delight!!!

    The sad truth is the pro choice argument comes down to one thing. If the baby is wanted then it has value, if it’s not wanted it’s fully ok for an abortion. If u cause a woman to miscarriage no matter how far along she is u get murder charges if u murder a pregnant woman u get double murder charges but if the woman doesn’t want the baby and has an abortion it’s not murder cause there was no life lost. It makes no sense and all abortions are just people being selfish. Let’s also realize the fact that the man involved with making the baby have no say in this. I know MANY men who got a woman pregnant and the woman aborted the baby and the men were never the same. Murder is murder and nothing you say will ever justify this. U don’t want to raise a child there’s adoption. and before u bring up that the foster system is horrible I was in foster care for years before being adopted so I know what I’m talking about when I say that most homes are not the horror stories U hear and rarely ever does a baby not get adopted everyone wants to adopt a baby. You don’t wAnt to get pregnant then stop having unprotected sex. Also yes I acknowledge that rape is also a factor here as someone who has had that happen I can’t imagine the pain of having to carry a baby from the person who did that to u but rape cases only make up less then 1% of abortions.

      @dfgntzfjgyhmghbndfnghcmsfr1089 4 года назад

      mindless monk Yes, something that is going to be a human being is different from an actual human being, but that still doesn’t change the fact that you’re taking away someone’s shot at a life.
      Sperm can’t become a human being unless it fuses with an egg. A fetus, however, is going to become a human being unless you interfere.

      Yeah, kinda sick. I've learned that you have .01 % chance of reasoning with pro-choicers these days because they are so committed to either being a liberal, hating republicans, or they don't want to give up carefree sex. Cognitive dissonance occurs, and they turn into drooling retards when arguing about abortion. I wish I was overstating this, but after a ton of conversations with pro-choicers, they simply will not turn on their brain because of their selfishness.

    • @jihane4542
      @jihane4542 7 лет назад +2

      They don't have human rights because they don't have moral agency or human intelligence however their sentience should give them a right to live.

    • @Volmire1
      @Volmire1 7 лет назад +2

      Ok, so you're just adding to an arbitrary list of requirements for human rights. So you say they have to have "human intelligence" (whatever that means), sentience, and moral agency (which babies don't have). This is just a made up "shopping list" of requirements, contrived to fit a pro-choice agenda, just as slavers contrived a certain skin color into their shopping list of human worth pre-requisites. All that matters, as we found out with slavery, is to be a human being.
      Another problem with sentience and intelligence is that they come in degrees. Therefore humans with more sentience or more intelligence have more value and thus more of a right to life, bodily autonomy, etc. than other humans. But that is clearly not true because we know human equality is true. Simply being a human being is really what matters.
      Finally, the question "why" comes to mind. Why don't humans have rights because "they don't have moral agency or human intelligence"? Why do they need sentience? These are bare assertions. And you cannot justify killing humans when you are standing on a blind faith position.
