A band of skillful musicians simply enjoying playing together is always a joy to see. Very nice. Never heard of these people but that's exactly why I like the Tiny Desk so much, I'm often pleasantly surprised.
I just had to come back and say every single musician here is A1! That was insane the way they went from turning up on "2020" to playing softly (so hard to do) on "Only Believe"
I have been following the Baylor Project for years now. They deserve all of the accolades, praise, and exposure that they are receiving. Good people and good music.
I’ve known Marcus & Jean Baylor for over 3 years now and they’ve always been excellent musicians :)) Another classic rendition from The Baylor project! 😊
Hey y'all! Jeannnn and Marcusssss!!! Love and miss you two amazing human beings. I'm so proud to call you friend and know you. Continue to flourish and bless people with your gifts. Sounds so good!
Just amazing amazing music vocalist. I’m a jazz lover. My dad was a jazz bass player. I love jazz. It’s in my bones. It’s in the spirit my bodies in my soul. I love it. Love it. Amazing group please please please come to Dallas, Texas. Blessings to you guys and your family.🙏🏾
Good vibes swingin. Yeah, Marcus plays softer but swings louder on drums…first class. His wife really centers the band with her wonderful energy and musicianship.
Another jazz fan here... This touched my soul this morning! Thank you, Tiny Desk, for continuing to showcase the brightest talent and thank you, The Baylor Project, for this amazing performance!
I have to come back to watch this set at least once a week. Hands down, this is one of my top 5 favorite Tiny Desk Concerts, and it ain’t number 5 lol. So grateful for the gifts in the Baylors and this entire band❤
I absolutely love The Baylor Project!!! The first time I heard her sing solo was at a tribute to my dear friend Skip Norris. I couldn’t stop crying. My soul opened up.
Love The Baylor Project so much. When I was in my early 20s I was on a panel discussion with them answering questions on how to use social media as a recording artist. It was my first time being on a panel like this and I was so nervous. A man in the audience pointed at me and said, "I have a question for the young hot one" and I instantly went red and blacked out what he said out of embarrassment. Jean put her hand on mine and said, "Her name is Shellie and you will address her as such." I will never, ever forget this moment because of how unbelievably kind it was and how the man was instantly put in his place apologizing in front of hundreds of people. On top of that - their music is incredible!!
Yes she does still send her hopes her dreams and yes her fears at the expense of my "little girl" tears yes iam still watched over and loved ...thank u
Jean's voice is still so beautiful. Everything happens for a reason. I miss Zhane
Indeed!! Their first album - "Pronounced Jah-nay" is an absolute masterpiece. It's still one of my faves, 30 years later.
Tiny Desk is single handedly responsible for making us love music that we never thought we’d listen to or enjoy.
Agreed. There is no other source that helps me expand my music experience like Tiny Desk. I've discovered so many artists through TD.
