    Touch Me In The Morning is another one of her songs that went to No. 1 in the early 70's. One of my favorite Diana Ross songs.

      One of my favs...along with Some Day We'll Be Together. And of course there's STONED LOVE (I think I like it best SUPREMES NOT DIANA).

    We saw her in concert 2 weeks ago. Even at 79 years of age she still has that terrific voice.

    Thanks for reacting to this song, I'd forgotten how much I loved it. That is Miss Ross at her best!

    A different level of music. "What a voice...what a voice?" No one can give her a higher compliment. Her naysayers just do not understand beautiful music. Diana Ross vocally is very versatile. There are not too many singers that have her ability to convey the true meaning of music. Diana Ross vocally is a lot better than most singers of her era.

    On drums Hal Blaine, who played on over forty number one hits in USA, and on bass Leland Sklar, still going strong, who has played on thousands of songs by other artists.

    She was with The Supremes that I think then became Diana Ross and The Supremes, and as group they hit it big time. Then she went solo and became a star. And as the lead role in this movie she was actually very good.

    I have loved her since 1963 when I first heard a Supreme's song on the radio. She has aged like a fine wine.

    I love what Ralph Waldo Emerson said about success. He said:
    To laugh often and much;
    To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
    To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
    To appreciate beauty;
    To find the best in others;
    To give of one's self;
    To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
    To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;
    To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived -
    This is to have succeeded.

    One of the worlds greatest singers! You exactly worded my emotions, experienced at age 12 or 13 when this song was released. I totally recognized myself. Thank you for that! I never realized in what way this song worked itself into my 'musical core'!
    Another great song of Diana's is her Four Tops "Reach Out, I'll Be There" version released in 1971, but was beautifully remixed in 1978. It opens with the most intriguing bassline to develop into such a wonderful feelgood song. Like this one, it is never missing on any of my playlists...
