    If you have full coverage and are in an accident, but the damage is more than the value of the car. Will your provider pay for the repair or just give you retail value?

    • @scottagencyinc.7911
      @scottagencyinc.7911  29 дней назад

      If the cost to repair the damage reaches a certain percentage of the value of the car the insurance company will total the vehicle instead of repairing it. The total will be made off of the actual cash value of your car. The insurance company will go out and find comparison that should be very similar to your car's mileage, features and what the current market is bearing for your car.

    Can I pay just pay liability if I’m financing on a vehicle ?
    I had full coverage last month I just took it off because it’s too much to pay for along with financing the car

      Hello Butter Cup! Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately if you are financing a vehicle the finance company is going to force you to carry full coverage. I would suggest that you find out what the highest deductible the lender will allow you to carry and also make sure that deductible is acceptable to you. In this case, the deductible is the main piece of the puzzle you can control. Keep the appropriate level of liability and play with the deductible. Hope this helps!!!!!

      What if your loan is less than 3,000 left , full coverage would cost me over 4,000 , I’m switching to basic !

    Scenario A: A vehicle destroys a liability insured vehicle.
    Scenario B: A vehicle destroys a comprehensively insured vehicle.
    Will the compensation amount be the same in both scenarios?

    • @scottagencyinc.7911
      @scottagencyinc.7911  23 дня назад

      Thank you for your comment.
      Scenario A: The at fault drivers' insurance will evaluate the damage caused and the cost to repair the damage against the current value of the vehicle. This comparison will either result in the vehicle being totaled and an actual cash value payment being made.
      Scenario B: Same as scenario A
      Definitions are important.
      Liability means the insurance company will repair damage that you do to someone else. It will not pay for the damage to your vehicle.
      Comprehensive coverage is added to pay for things like Rock chips, theft, and fire damage to your car.
      Collision coverage is added to pay for damage to your car that is your fault
      In the insurance world a car has either Liability only or Liability with comprehensive and collision coverage added commonly known as full coverage.

    Yesterday they hit my back bumper I was on red light waiting for green light to go forward we both have liability insurance only is it worth it getting an attorney

      Hi Ozzy, when someone rear ends you, in most cases they will be seen at fault for the accident. If that is the case their insurance company should work with you to repair your car, provide a rental car, etc. If the cost to repair the car is enough to total the car, their insurance should pay you for the actual cash value of your car. The only reason to get a lawyer involved is if you have been injured severely. I would ask this same question to your current agent and let them guide you. Thank you for your comment.

    It doesn’t mean a damn thing.

      As an agent, I could not agree more your statement is 100% accurate however trying to correct the term of full coverage to Comp and Collision is not something that society, in general, is going to accept. In the video at 1:25 in I explain that full coverage is not an insurance term and address your concern for a full 19 seconds.
      Full coverage leads to thoughts of no matter what happens I will be covered "fully" and that is not accurate. The good news is that I do educate my clients on what their coverage means just as I did inside this video. Thank you for your comments and for visiting our channel.
