I did the same thing with my cat. I kept moving the babies back to the bed trying to protect them ( as I thought) and she will go right behind me and move them back to different spots. She was doing this after they were a couple weeks old so I decided to step back and just observe to see what she was doing. Come to find out, she was strengthening them and teaching them to crawl and walk around. I eventually backed all the way off and only touched them to nurse their eyes and just let her be a mother which it wasn’t her first go round. I realized I was just coming against her natural instincts.
Good on you for realising momma cat knew actually what she was doing and letting her do it! A feral mom brought her four kittens into our office during a big snow several weeks ago. They were so young but she is an outstanding mom and now that they're old enough to be weaned, altered, and adopted, I'm going to wrangle the kittens and take them to a shelter and, hopefully, get the mom t~n~r (easier said than done). It really was pretty interesting to watch how the momma cat taught her babes. Cats are awesome!

We took her in and gave the kittens up for adoption and has had two litters since she has been with me. She has truly been a blessing to us and it hurts to see her in any kind of distress so I have learned to just pay more attention to her and do more research. Thanks for sharing.
Just warms my little heart to see her tend to her little babies. You Can Tell She's on edge just like a human mother when our babies are small too, and it makes me feel so much more connected to other mammals.

Moving the kittens is a bad idea. The momma cat will bring them back inside ASAP, except the next time she will hide them somewhere in the house instead of the den you set up for her. Trust me, you don't want the family hidden under the couch or bed.

That’s a very long walk for the mom to make for every trip. I’m sure it was stressful. I stopped doing that to my cat’s babies when I noticed how worried she looked. I could visibly see some type of fear on her poor face. No good. 😕.

That was mean taking her kittens away from her. Then following her as she wanted to take her kittens back to her safe space. She didn't feel safe leaving her kitting behind as she went to get her other kittens. That's putting alot of stress and anxiety on the mother cat by not leaving her alone to take care of her kittens and protecting them, too.

That’s a very long walk for the mom to make for every trip. I’m sure it was stressful. I stopped doing that to my cat’s babies when I noticed how worried she looked. I could visibly see some type of fear on her poor face. No good. 😕.
What everyone else said about stressing the mama and babies... also please don't bring anymore litters into this world. There are plenty of cats at the shelters that need homes.

Didn't anybody notice the porch concrete railings? The gap at the bottom would have allowed her kittens to crawl right on thru and fallen off porch. Yep, human Stupid, Momma kitty Very Smart, especially to the dangers the human was putting the kittens in.
Well mama and papa love and trust there owners ,and most likely the video was too show how they care for there loved ones but honestly it was a short break for Mana kitty and dad , and it was a nice video .

I dont think that is hers, it is not in any other videos with this litter, i think thats why she separated it, maybe it lived in the next pen, she thought it was dangerous for kitten outside so brought it home, but i think this guy is trying to force her to raise it..he keeps adding it into videos but never a single family, just wherever he can so i guess this one has no “mother”

That was mean taking her kittens away from her. Then following her as she wanted to take her kittens back to her safe space. She didn't feel safe leaving her kitting behind as she went to get her other kittens. That's putting alot of stress and anxiety on the mother cat by not leaving her alone to take care of her kittens and protecting them, too.
