Yes, that's right. I've been checked out by several cats who decided to move in and spend the rest of their lives with me. To be honest, with hindsight I realise I could have done better for them but they could have done a lot worse than trusting themselves to me
@Your Mother As the video says this cat was likely not totally wild so don't feel to bad about the mom not trusting you. Also you do get to play with the kittens so that's a win to me. Some feral cats you cant even get close to cause they will use there claws full force on you every time. Lot of people end up having to take care of totally feral cats cause they want to help the kittens and the best thing to do is let the mom take care of them till there old enough then spade the mom and release her. Then just find a home for the kittens.
This little MAMA came to visit this sweet lady many times so she learned to trust her. I could tell that she was learning to trust her and knew she could trust her with her babies. Cats are very good Mothers

@@judykrieger8433 tell me about it. A couple of weeks ago my friend brought me four 1-month old kittens. Their mother had disappeared and we thought she had been hit by a car or something. I already have three other siblings of theirs from two other litters. They were all born within one year and I didn't keep all of the kittens born. I think at most I will keep two of the four and maybe give my neighbor the other two if she wants to replace her little dog that died last year. But I won't let them leave my house unspayed. I just can't trust people to actually spay the cats on their own. Plus people love having kittens around the house but don't think about how they too will grow up to make more and more kittens. Momma cat actually ended up coming home about a week and a half after the kittens left. She keeps looking for them I keep telling my friend to bring th momma cat to me so I can get her spayed. My vet already offered to do it for free since I have brought him so much business taking care of so many cats.

I love tuxedo cats, they're always dressed for the occasion. Akeera looks like she has an arrow pointing to the back of her head, between her eyes. So cute. I even had a grey and white tuxedo cat with a white spot on the tip of his tail. Never had a grey and white tuxedo before him, always black and white tuxedos. My brother even had a 30lb black and white named shadow. He was mostly white, but so sweet. He wasn't fat, he was just big. He had to put him down, just about the time his wife my sister in law, passed away. He now had a grey and white tabby named Sheriff, and SH. It's the bad word, I won't use it on here.

That's the difference between cats and dogs. A dog needs someone to lead them. A cat needs someone to love them, to take care of them, to pet them, etc., and give them places to hide when the cat wants to be alone. A dog often can't deal with being alone, away from their human. A cat is independent and chooses whether to be with a human or other animals, or not to be with them. But when a cat chooses to be with you (somehow it senses that you've had a lousy day and you need the cat's company), it can turn a lousy day into a good day. However, when a cat hisses at you ... well, maybe the cat is the one having a lousy day and wants to be left alone for awhile ... or it just doesn't like you. (If it were left up to me, I'd rather be hissed at by a cat than barked at by a dog.)
I have two Tuxedo brothers, a rescue old Calico Cat, a small Rescue Dog and they all get along well together. I am currently feeding a male Tuxedo feral cat. He is coming closer each time he comes. Winter is here and I want him to have shelter and be fed.

Yes she is quite small isn’t she. Cats start procreating (mating and having kittens) at six months! Each pregnancy is around nine weeks or 63 days and each female will have 2-6 kittens each time. Then those kittens start procreating at six months and so on and so on. If you adopt a kitten please have them spayed or neutered! It can be done as early as six weeks and your cat will be happier and healthier and will not be contributing to the overpopulation of domestic cats in this world. Love and blessings to you all.

I find it fascinating how trusting of humans some mother cats can be. We had one that had a litter of kittens in the very end of a space between two buildings that was unreachable, and she deadass pulled them out and brought them to us knowing we could help her.
I ve worked with straycatsmoms, i've never seen one so tame and aproachable. Obviously she is acustumed to humans. I had the job to catch the mothers and her offspring for the better. I can tell it was never a walk in the park.
I don’t know if cats can “smell kind hearts” but she definitely guessed by your behavior that you were *safe*, so that’s pretty cool. Pretty sure cats feeling safe with you is their best compliment.
If nothing else there was probably a smell of food and other (calm) cats around the area, both of which would signal "this is a safe space" to a mother cat. So even if cats can't sense "kind hearts" a heart that is kind to cats will tend to create spaces that cats are attracted to. All that being said, cats visit our patio ALL THE TIME despite the fact that we don't feed them and our cats are NOT okay with their presence.
my guess is that the mother cat had already been around kind humans, because feral cats don't really approach humans like that otherwise, unless they've already been in contact and been cared for

Such a sweet story. I have a mom I named patches that brought her kittens to my house. She has 4 beautiful babies also. Thank you for caring for the homeless kitties and giving them shelter ,security and food. It takes us to make a loving difference for these fur babies
I know huh. She is tame i wander if some heartless human throw her away. 💔. It's just like us to do that to them. And they are soo forgiven to us and always give us a chance. My friend found a beautiful dog I forgot the name of the breed it's the same in lady, the tramp. He had a menge, and he was sooo hungry. She stopped her car and opened the back door and said come on let's go. He. Just jumped she took him home and gave him food when he was finished he burped so loud. She was so surprised 😮😂. And his fur grew. Then she discovered why they didn't want him. When he gets happy jumping around. He Is Pissing. Not a lot but enough for someone to clean after him. Luckily she has a huge back yard. And he is not the only dog she has 4 more. He is happy 😊. Playing around.

If you have a house and you have snakes 🐍.they will not come in. Because even if we don't have a ear to listen the cat has 2 ears. And they know exactly where the snake is. And they will fight out the turf. And have a tasty fresh snake for dinner. And if they love you. They are going to drag it and invite you for dinner 🍽😋. The black death killed 30 million people. It was the cat. 1 again saved us. The rat 🐀bringing it from city, city. Jumping ship 🚢. Fleas came with the help of the rat's.

@@_huggerpuff_ Cats don't kiss. Most cats hate kisses. It means they are comfortable and trust you. They dont see us as a threat or prey. In wich case they wouldn't let you out of their eyes even for a second. Blinking is their way of signaling they feel safe. It means " I won't eat you and you won't eat me- we cool " No need for unessesary romatism. The fact that a cat, a predator considers your presence safe and comforting (especially with kittens) is a great complitment.

I had a barn cat that never came into my house. She was a little friendly but not too much. On the day she gave birth she ran into the house and gave birth to her first kitten in my hand.. it was a humbling experience. She knew I would help.

Me too, except I plan to do it as soon as I have the means and finances for it. I have a rescue dog now and he’s my baby. One day I’d love to have a big piece of property with lots of rescue dogs and cats.
Oh, yeah, I once had a few Feral Cat Feeding Stations where I would do Catch Neuter Release. It can get expensive. I found a doctor that would discount everything for ferals (and I was on honor to come back and pay full price for any cats that ended up on my lap watching TV at night). But even discounted, that was a lot of money. Even the food adds up if you have a lot of cats to feed. I just have six (indoor cats.... my Feral Cat Feeding Stations are history) but with the Pandemic I have to make plans for buying all the food they need every two weeks.
@@leovolont are you in the US? Humane society may help with food for the ferals. I know we were getting a bag of dry food every few weeks from humane society, free of charge. That was quite awhile ago as well, so call first to see if they will help with food. Also, we have a group in my city that collects donated large coolers that we fill with straw and drill a hole in the side, creating a shelter for the ferals, then pass them out to whoever would like to put one or two in their area. It's important that straw is used because any moisture falls to the bottom of the shelter, away from the cat's bodies.
that's the reason why i love animals more than people! You don't have to prove animals that you love them, they sense your love and trust you. But you always have to prove something to people, and you only get suspicious ....

Mother cats look for 2 things when raising there young. The 1st and most important is seclusion, they want to be hidden in a quite warm place away from potential threats and other animals. As you showed your not a threat and have several secluded locations on your property, the mother probably deemed it a suitable location. Especially suitable once you fulfilled requirement number 2, the location is close by to either multiple food sources or a reliable food source. You fulfilled this one to a tee giving her really good food instead of kibble.
Not to mention a human who already is capable of serving kittens. (The first encounter) was a giveaway that this human is a potential candidate, worth looking into and testing a few days and do a proper review analysis. (Mother cat spent a few days testing the habitat before accepting the deal and bringing the kids). Seems like a very smart mother cat who does a thorough quality control for the sake of her kids!
That's exactly right.. Also as well as a warm and secluded location, they look for it to be dry, and lastly close to their kittens current location. I expect she did some snooping around over the first three days to see if there was a location such as you described. Looks like she found the perfect spot!
Of course she is happy! Not only has she found a kind and understanding human to care for her family in the their time of need, she found a perfect furnished apartment in the appropriate decor to match her coloring! What could be more perfect?!
This also happened to me many years ago. I was in bed and felt something walk across my bed. A stray cat had entered through my cat door and one-by-one brought me her kittens. I never saw her after that. She either knew she was unable to take care of them or a local male cat may have started killing them. They all lived. Good luck with your gifts.

i think cats can sense the safe environment, literally a random pregnant cat came in to our house and settled with us. like she straight up walked in our home and picked a place to stay.

How very trusting of this young mother kitty, yet I can’t say I blame her as cats are very smart and know a soft a voice yields kindness. Bless you for providing her a safe haven to raise her kitties.
So Precious I did rescue a Mother Cat to be who had 4 beautiful kittens, nice and safe in our house. She was still a baby herself, just 8 months old. A friend of mine took 2 of the kittens and I kept her along with her son and daughter. That was 5 years ago and everyone is having a very Happy Life.
When I lived in Memphis, TN there was a pretty black long haired stray cat that showed up on my doorsteps both times she was pregnant. She would start coming around shortly before she was to give birth. She had both sets of kittens on my bedroom floor. She didn't like being an inside cat as being outside was all she ever knew. I fed her and her kittens and would let her come and go as she wished. Each time when the kittens were weaned and adopted out she would disappear. I love animals and especially cats. Everyone please spay/neuter your cats and dogs. Animals have pretty good instincts and they know a wonderful person like you when they see them. The kitten is so adorable and loving!! Momma cat looks like some exotic Egyptian queen with that white spot on her forehead. I wish I could have one of them spotted kittens, they are so cute. They look like dalmatian's or cow's, too cute! Yes! I thought the same thing about the kittens! I've had and seen MANY MANY cats before but I have never seen a cat even similar to that spotted one! Definitely looks like a dalmatian or even a spotted dog. Cats usually tend to have misshapen splotches as opposed to uniform, round spots. Truly one of a kind mama and litter. 😻

This's so adorable!! a month ago, at around midnight I heard meowing outside my apartment door, went to check what's up and was surprised to see a friendly cat (I've seen her in the neighborhood and fed her many times before), I new she was pregnant, and she came to my door to have her kittens ❤️ long story short, they are very healthy and still living with me indoors, the mother cat will eventually go back outside (I will still feed her daily), but the kittens are staying with me for hopefully a very long time ❤️❤️ Had to share my lil story
I'd rather see Momma go to a no-kill shelter rather than back outside. They will spay her so no additional homeless cats or kittens. Putting her back outside pretty much guarantees a repeated homeless family.
If you spay her and let her back outside then she’ll probably go back to her home. She probably belongs to someone. But she may decide she wants to live with you instead. Either way, please get her and all of her babies spayed/neutered as soon as possible. She will get pregnant again as soon as they are weaned. And the kittens can reproduce at 4 months old. As long as the kittens are 2 months old and 2 pounds, you can get them fixed.
@@xradelox except in Malaysia where the cat has to be 8 months old to be spayed/neutered. WHY? Especially when female cats can get pregnant at 4 months. Males get into horrific fights over territory. The government response to stray cats and dogs is euthanasia. Again, WHY?
I once had a mama cat come around one evening and I fed her and watered her and felt her underside and instantly knew she had babies somewhere. The VERY NEXT DAY she brought out her babies and I got them all and brought them inside my house and the mama too! I was so honored that she trusted me right away. :)

Smartest cat I've ever known and I've had them for more than 60 years. Flea infested and dying when I took him, he's now 7 years old and massive! Not fat, just big. My best friend, oh yeah!
It's not as much standoffishness as it is general weariness of humans. I'm sure she's had some run-ins that were less than kind. She needed to build trust first.

That's the difference between cats and dogs. A dog needs someone to lead them. A cat needs someone to love them, to take care of them, to pet them, etc., and give them places to hide when the cat wants to be alone. A dog often can't deal with being alone, away from their human. A cat is independent and chooses whether to be with a human or other animals, or not to be with them. But when a cat chooses to be with you (somehow it senses that you've had a lousy day and you need the cat's company), it can turn a lousy day into a good day. However, when a cat hisses at you ... well, maybe the cat is the one having a lousy day and wants to be left alone for awhile ... or it just doesn't like you. (If it were left up to me, I'd rather be hissed at by a cat than barked at by a dog.)
I have two Tuxedo brothers, a rescue old Calico Cat, a small Rescue Dog and they all get along well together. I am currently feeding a male Tuxedo feral cat. He is coming closer each time he comes. Winter is here and I want him to have shelter and be fed.

Yes she is quite small isn’t she. Cats start procreating (mating and having kittens) at six months! Each pregnancy is around nine weeks or 63 days and each female will have 2-6 kittens each time. Then those kittens start procreating at six months and so on and so on. If you adopt a kitten please have them spayed or neutered! It can be done as early as six weeks and your cat will be happier and healthier and will not be contributing to the overpopulation of domestic cats in this world. Love and blessings to you all.

I find it fascinating how trusting of humans some mother cats can be. We had one that had a litter of kittens in the very end of a space between two buildings that was unreachable, and she deadass pulled them out and brought them to us knowing we could help her.

I don’t know if cats can “smell kind hearts” but she definitely guessed by your behavior that you were *safe*, so that’s pretty cool. Pretty sure cats feeling safe with you is their best compliment.
If nothing else there was probably a smell of food and other (calm) cats around the area, both of which would signal "this is a safe space" to a mother cat. So even if cats can't sense "kind hearts" a heart that is kind to cats will tend to create spaces that cats are attracted to.
All that being said, cats visit our patio ALL THE TIME despite the fact that we don't feed them and our cats are NOT okay with their presence.

@@_huggerpuff_ Cats don't kiss. Most cats hate kisses. It means they are comfortable and trust you. They dont see us as a threat or prey. In wich case they wouldn't let you out of their eyes even for a second. Blinking is their way of signaling they feel safe. It means " I won't eat you and you won't eat me- we cool " No need for unessesary romatism. The fact that a cat, a predator considers your presence safe and comforting (especially with kittens) is a great complitment.

Oh, yeah, I once had a few Feral Cat Feeding Stations where I would do Catch Neuter Release. It can get expensive. I found a doctor that would discount everything for ferals (and I was on honor to come back and pay full price for any cats that ended up on my lap watching TV at night). But even discounted, that was a lot of money. Even the food adds up if you have a lot of cats to feed. I just have six (indoor cats.... my Feral Cat Feeding Stations are history) but with the Pandemic I have to make plans for buying all the food they need every two weeks.

@@leovolont are you in the US? Humane society may help with food for the ferals. I know we were getting a bag of dry food every few weeks from humane society, free of charge. That was quite awhile ago as well, so call first to see if they will help with food.
Also, we have a group in my city that collects donated large coolers that we fill with straw and drill a hole in the side, creating a shelter for the ferals, then pass them out to whoever would like to put one or two in their area. It's important that straw is used because any moisture falls to the bottom of the shelter, away from the cat's bodies.

Mother cats look for 2 things when raising there young. The 1st and most important is seclusion, they want to be hidden in a quite warm place away from potential threats and other animals. As you showed your not a threat and have several secluded locations on your property, the mother probably deemed it a suitable location. Especially suitable once you fulfilled requirement number 2, the location is close by to either multiple food sources or a reliable food source. You fulfilled this one to a tee giving her really good food instead of kibble.
Not to mention a human who already is capable of serving kittens. (The first encounter) was a giveaway that this human is a potential candidate, worth looking into and testing a few days and do a proper review analysis. (Mother cat spent a few days testing the habitat before accepting the deal and bringing the kids). Seems like a very smart mother cat who does a thorough quality control for the sake of her kids!

That's exactly right.. Also as well as a warm and secluded location, they look for it to be dry, and lastly close to their kittens current location. I expect she did some snooping around over the first three days to see if there was a location such as you described. Looks like she found the perfect spot!

Of course she is happy! Not only has she found a kind and understanding human to care for her family in the their time of need, she found a perfect furnished apartment in the appropriate decor to match her coloring! What could be more perfect?!
This also happened to me many years ago. I was in bed and felt something walk across my bed. A stray cat had entered through my cat door and one-by-one brought me her kittens. I never saw her after that. She either knew she was unable to take care of them or a local male cat may have started killing them. They all lived.

i think cats can sense the safe environment, literally a random pregnant cat came in to our house and settled with us. like she straight up walked in our home and picked a place to stay.

I've learnt from my rescued cat that she's hesitant because she's asking permission to enter from the resident cat.

I did rescue a Mother Cat to be who had 4 beautiful kittens, nice and safe in our house. She was still a baby herself, just 8 months old. A friend of mine took 2 of the kittens and I kept her along with her son and daughter. That was 5 years ago and everyone is having a very Happy Life.
When I lived in Memphis, TN there was a pretty black long haired stray cat that showed up on my doorsteps both times she was pregnant. She would start coming around shortly before she was to give birth. She had both sets of kittens on my bedroom floor. She didn't like being an inside cat as being outside was all she ever knew. I fed her and her kittens and would let her come and go as she wished. Each time when the kittens were weaned and adopted out she would disappear. I love animals and especially cats. Everyone please spay/neuter your cats and dogs. Animals have pretty good instincts and they know a wonderful person like you when they see them. The kitten is so adorable and loving!! Thanks for sharing your video!!

Yes! I thought the same thing about the kittens! I've had and seen MANY MANY cats before but I have never seen a cat even similar to that spotted one! Definitely looks like a dalmatian or even a spotted dog. Cats usually tend to have misshapen splotches as opposed to uniform, round spots. Truly one of a kind mama and litter. 😻
But sadly ppl in Indonesia didn't like cats that look like that...i personally love cats that look like that

a month ago, at around midnight I heard meowing outside my apartment door, went to check what's up and was surprised to see a friendly cat (I've seen her in the neighborhood and fed her many times before), I new she was pregnant, and she came to my door to have her kittens ❤️ long story short, they are very healthy and still living with me indoors, the mother cat will eventually go back outside (I will still feed her daily), but the kittens are staying with me for hopefully a very long time ❤️❤️
Had to share my lil story
I'd rather see Momma go to a no-kill shelter rather than back outside. They will spay her so no additional homeless cats or kittens. Putting her back outside pretty much guarantees a repeated homeless family.

If you spay her and let her back outside then she’ll probably go back to her home. She probably belongs to someone. But she may decide she wants to live with you instead. Either way, please get her and all of her babies spayed/neutered as soon as possible. She will get pregnant again as soon as they are weaned. And the kittens can reproduce at 4 months old. As long as the kittens are 2 months old and 2 pounds, you can get them fixed.

The VERY NEXT DAY she brought out her babies and I got them all and brought them inside my house and the mama too! I was so honored that she trusted me right away. :)

Smartest cat I've ever known and I've had them for more than 60 years. Flea infested and dying when I took him, he's now 7 years old and massive! Not fat, just big. My best friend, oh yeah!
It's not as much standoffishness as it is general weariness of humans. I'm sure she's had some run-ins that were less than kind. She needed to build trust first.
