  • I finally got around to reviewing my Spyderco, Shaman in S30V. A popular knife which I've had for a while now. Check it out. Thanks as always for watching and... Stay Sharp! #minionscarryknives #edc #spydercoknives

I think the "base model" is wirth the investment for sure. Thanks for watching!

My favorite among my extensive collection of folders. The issue regarding the compression lock is actually a non-issue. Just hold it at the front part and towards the top. Problem solved. Mine is drop-shut but sometimes I still snap-close it. I have zero issues with the lock.

I agree, and I’ve learned to move my finger off of the lock while the blade is closing as an alternative.

@@gjr1974 Yes I totally agree. The price of entry is quite high but once you have the knife in your hand, you don't think about it.

You know my feelings about the Shaman, and I agree with you about it all...except the K320 being the better knife of the two. 😆The beauty of the Shaman is that the sprint runs and exclusives are usually the same price, or even slightly less. I don't get it, but I would be happy to wait for one in the steel I wanted if I weren't a fan of s30v. Thanks for your thoughts on it, brother! You and Mrs. Edge have a stellar weekend down there!

I had a Manix 2 LW in my pocket yesterday. That knife already starts pushing the amount of knife I can carry day-to-day (not incredibly long, but the height of the blade is a factor). Having had some time with a Para 3, I gotta say the compression lock is something I'm still getting used to. I know my friend wants a Shaman (already has a Yojimbo and Yojumbo) so when he gets it, I hope I'll be able to get a good side-by-side-by side.

A Native Chief has too be the perfect edc knife. Imo. Thin too carry and good handle size. Have a c/f S90V and a cts-xhp satin C.S exclusive and love them. ✌🏼

@@EionansEdge right on...I'll make sure to handle each one before deciding someday.. they actually have both models at Scheels about a half hour away.

I own both and prefer the Shaman- it’s objectively better built and makes the PM2 feel dated (which it is at this point) but the PM2 has a much more slender and pointed, scalpel-like tip which works great in smaller spaces or for slicing more delicate materials.
