Okay, I agree with your views on this book, except the hair color. I have a friend who has dark hair, and her husband has red hair and their kids both have very blonde hair. The kids have their dad's sister's hair. And before you say anything, they are definitely his kids, they look exactly like him apart from the hair, so it is possible to have different hair than their parents.
