The only problem with your carry cane. A lawyer may say that you bought the cane to hurt someone badly. If you do body damage with your cane to a person. Even if they had a knife, club, or whatever. That includes having a thick metal steel cane. Your dojo practice cane would be a better weapon to keep you out of jail and out of court. Ask a prosecutor/defense lawyer on wording. They also check details that can work for you or against you.
If there is an issue using the Quantum Protector Cane, then obtain a Weapons Permit issued from your state or county. Not all permits deal with firearms. If an aggressor uses a potentially lethal weapon to inflict serous injury, victims may be forced to protect themselves, for self protection. There was a term used by officers years ago when forced into a self defense situation: "To stop this course of conduct from continuing."
@Doug Boal yes I agree with you. But, people who have to use a cane (like me) can just use regular cane or get a large diameter cane. Without all those modifications to protect themselves. A simple single stick can be used without needing to have any weapon permit. And if needed, I can use my carry permit weapon as the last resort. The average cane holder, better have an understanding of the law and medical conditions for carrying and using a cane. Going to court is not a fun place to spend your hard earn money. Just say I have seen what they do in a court room.

We need to see our society change so that lawyers are punished for attacking good people who defend themselves against bad people.
