Just got one and had question. You mention motor torque will turn the aircraft, can that be tuned out with washers at the motor? Thanks, can't wait to try it. I know it will have a learning curve. Thanks for the videos.
Found the radio set up video. Need to get the battery to get the programming figured out. I guess trimming the wing before first flight is just get the wing to stay centered over the motor while kiting by adjusting the brake lines?
Mine is all assembled, and I downloaded an .SPM from RCGroups that seems correct for my NX8. Hoping to maiden it today and will try to video that with a tripod cam and hat cam. I love the canopy. This is no toy, its the real thing in miniature. I have a 5000mah battery coming, but the biggest 3S I have right now is 3200 and am hoping its heavy enough. The balance looks okay.
In flying, I understand that the throttle controls engine speed which controls altitude. The rudder controls turns and the aileron, elevator is just for flairing/landing?
I m new on rc paraglider my glider is neon yello from pulver Technik and are another parts black glossy motor is a Roxy for planes for 2kg, have are a mixer for this servos and light bar for lightning for the parafoil and blue stripe for the propring 6 kanal from sky master gigaprop
I watched several videos on attaching the wing to gondola and they differ. The HK manual does not go into attaching the wing and refers to the video. The HK video shows marking a spot on the brake lines 25.5 inches from the top attachment point. At that mark, it is now attached to the control horns. On other videos, like tis one, it shows the mark on the brake lines is to be even with the "D" rings. Which is the correct way? Thanks
I have an older. DX6i and I do not have the graph that your Xmtr shows, hence I do not have braking. The servos work left or right but not together. What setting needs to be there for braking? Also, some videos show the throttle stick in the middle and going up to control the motor. My stick is at the bottom. Is there a setting for this as well.
Great setup video for the paramotor and radio. I got my paramotor from Hong Kong on Thursday. Had already been working on radio setup and bound my Spektrum DX8 to it. All the functions working properly including being able to trim it. The problem I had was the motor didn't initiate. Contacted HobbyKing through website chat and a new ESC and Motor were shipped to me yesterday. Great support for their products. Also noticed they are sold out of the paramotors. Guess I'd say, that if ya watch enough videos that are out there guys, you should be able to figure it out. I'd be happy to help anyone with theirs.
I had the same problem with the motor and speed control. I did some testing and determined that the problem was with the speed controller. For this ESC you HAVE to have the throttle trim tabs all of the way down (off) before it will initiate. Once I figured this out, everything worked fine.
Is the diameter of the propeller really 10" (i.e. 254mm)? Would you be able to tell me the length (front to back) and width (how wide the properller guard) of this trike please? I would like to get one, but need to know if I can fit in to the container I have to store it. Thank you.
John, I am trying to get my HK Paramotor programmed on my Spektrum DX9 transmitter. I tried a lot of the mixes and settings I saw on RUclips, but I could not get any of them to work correctly. I just purchased a Hacker mixer and I thought this would solve my problems, but it did not. Is there any place I can find out how to program this radio to work with or without the Hacker mixer? Any help wil be much appreciated.
I love mine, Flight times you can see in the flight videos I have. Its a very fair weather machine, and takes some practice to learn how to launch right, but its very fun.
Thanks John !! Repeating but .. - you, Robert and RC Air Adventures are guilty when my wife start to ask questions - I took the bullet and ordered one .. Watched all videos from all of you - to other videos will simply click thumbs up and one more thanks ..
I honestly showed enough to do it, set your travels, do the mixes, dont put the arms on until after doing all the mixes though, first make sure everything goes the right direction. Its not too difficult to get to work.
Thank you for posting this set up video...I have a complete understanding as to what I want to achieve, with regards to set up. Problem is...I have a Spektrum DX8 and cannot figure out the mixing. Possibly the radio can't do it! Please help if you have any suggestions or can link me to someone who has figured out the proper Mixes for a DX8. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Much appreciated. Scott C.
If you dont take it off the cart, you cant really tangle it. I find it pretty easy to keep the lines straight. Elevons, I dont know, this is how I got it to work out.
I was going to buy this as a birthday pressie to myself from my girls! Having watched this ? .... you’ve put me right off. I’m not a novice to flight and models, in my teens I flew a few Parafoil and quadrofoil kites so I have a good understanding of the physics and control of kites and aircraft too. But I had assumed that the kite would be RTF? Thankyou very much for this video as you’ve saved me from buying what I thought was an interesting model... turns out? It’s a knot fest!!! Bugger that!!

Just add some other batteries for extra weight if you want to, it flies a long time.

Im flying mine this way, setup from how HK wanted me to. Thats all I can tell you, is it works.
@@JohnVHRC I changed it to the way you have it also. Would you happen to have a setup file for a Spektrum NX10? Thanks!

John, I read you could post a link to your SPM file, would you share that with me for my iX20 radio?
I would like to ask if anyone has a remote control simulator that can be used by the remote control model player.

Tried to put it on here. No luck. Post email and I will send it to you.
My email is on my RUclips channel under about section. Will send you the SPM file from my DX8.

Check the rcgroups thread on this ppg
Can you post DX6 mix setup radio ?
Its pretty much the same, doing the mixes, and adjusting the travels so you dont get any opposite UP movements.
Hello
The idea looks goo?
What is the flight time?
Does it get tangled?
Is it easy to launch?
Is it really worth buying?
I love mine, Flight times you can see in the flight videos I have. Its a very fair weather machine, and takes some practice to learn how to launch right, but its very fun.
Where can I buy this kit from all I need is the seat and control not the paraglider.???

What are the wind speeds you have flown in? Appeared gusty in the short flight.
The lower has been more fun. I dont measure the wind, but Ill guess saying 5mph or less.
Which Receiver are you using?
Thanks

does the wing come with the trike or does it have to be ordered separately?

And also couldn’t you just do an elevon setup?
