I’m not sure if they carry it in the store! Hopefully they at least have something similar. Bring a magnetic polish and test the magnets out 😂 I know when I ordered it, it wasn’t available in store anywhere near me unless I ordered it and had it shipped to the store for pickup.

TOTAL GAME CHANGER. I’ve been avoiding the magnetic polishes because I don’t really like the cat eye effect and the velvet effect looked so fiddly to do. I just might have to try this now! ❤
Yes! The miracle magnetic really brought these polishes to life. I was disappointed when these first came out but with the velvet effect of this magnet- I get it now. I am going to have to try this with sandbar which I had a hard time magnetizing but I love the neutral shade.
these are so up my alley and I really wouldn't have known about them otherwise since you're the only swatcher I follow that still does ILNP swatches, so thank you! also I'm 100% getting that magnet.....anything to make magnetic application faster 😭
Maybe not faster since the polish still has to set a bit in the magnet for each coat (and topcoat!) but definitely easier! Trying to wave that magnet around my nail just to ruin the finish was lowering my life expectancy.

Loved the Lily Easter egg, I struggled with magnets too, I’m in the uk so I shall have a look in a hardware store here. These looked so cool in the velvet effect.
The smaller horseshoe magnet works to create the velvet look, but unless you have tiny fingers, you can't actually put your nail in the curve to create the look. I discovered this after doing swatch sticks successfully and then not being able to do my actual nails with it
I visited one of my local Home Depot late last year and had NO luck finding that horseshoe magnet. Thanks much for posting the link. 😇 I will use your video for reference, and use your link to purchase once it’s back in stock.

Ok so I know I’m very late but I HAD to go back to this video and say I accidentally found out that if you use the bottom of that magnet it will do a cat eye. The line just goes the opposite way.

The closest one to me has a listing price of $21.99 and I had some credit at Ace as well, so I'm happy that I was able to order this product ~$15. Excited to try this with some magnetic polishes!!
I really want it to set, so I do a minute or two for each coat plus topcoat. But that just depends on your room environment/coat thickness and how long the coats are taking to dry. It might not need to be left in there that long. Velvet nails tend to hold their design a little better than the cat eye method does

I bought a 10 lb. horseshoe magnet at Ace Hardware. Online the magnet was not in stock at Home Depot. I used the magnet right away and it worked!!!

I feel like the velvet effect becomes flat once the polish is fully dried and as you wear it. Who else experienced it? Or is it just me?
I use the magnet again right after my top coat and nope, it stays for me
@@Ashley__Rose I do that too but I can still notice a different btw day 1 vs day 3 of the mani. The velvet effect loses it’s dimension over time
