This level legitimately unnerved me. The sudden shift in visual language mixed the eerie music and slightly liminal visuals made me feel like I was actually going insane. Then my character tripped over his own feet and faceplanted.
There is something about this track. It gives a feeling of something terrible that happened here some time ago. There is light, grass, buildings, but not a single soul around. Only the undead. Completely abandoned, you are probably the only living being out there.
When I got to this area and heard this music i was so freaked out... The fact that there was grass and light made me want to stay there though, it was a refreshing sensation after hours of dungeon crawl.
Say anything you will about this game but this is one of those types of musics that display the tone and mood of the game exactly. I completely understand what their intentions are with this music.
I like to imagine that hissing and almost breathing like noise in the track is actually coming from the fleshy corruption stuff below crossroads in the sewers
You can actually sprint to the end of the room with your inventory open and quickly equip the armor and run away again outside the room, or get knocked out by the big golem but whatever you will wake up outside. @@tkg353
3:56 is this sound from the old celtic carynx instrument? I feel quite bloodrush excitement while hearing this on level 5 though, I think i am just weird
Ah, that sound? Yep, it's from the old Celtic carynx instrument. And hey, feeling bloodrush excitement at level 5? No biggie, we're all a little weird in our own ways. Embrace the quirkiness and keep jamming to those ancient tunes, my friend.
I am so super late on what is going on. Ive never heard it in the game probably because ive never faught the ogre. What is everyone talking about? Brazilian? What is going on lol Help!!! Edit sorry this comment is for that Beastly track.

Nothing like the sound of your metallic chestplate hitting the floor, as you hear strange footsteps coming your way

I imagined the humming was coming from the knight
Sir Realism woah! a person who’s a fan of LISA and Exanima! Just like me!

Sir Realism Neither did Terry.
This place was eerie from the very beginning. It felt fresh and new, but the eerie music gave me vibes of "You aren't supposed to be here."
loved it
Don't mind me, just going hat shopping with my brainwashed blademaster in the necropocalypse

3:38 Chills everytime
Easily my favourite story mode track for now, it has literally stuck into my head
This ost absolutely nails the atmosphere of the game.
the beginning ambience sounds like the scp:sb ambience. awesome song.

2:23 is magic
this makes me want to play again lol.
The powered golem armor essentially became my comfort blanket in these levels.
I mean if u got it you had to kill the most dangerous thing in the game

You can also grab the armor from outside the room with telekinesis
@@tkg353 The enemies I faced in the later levels were way more threatening to me than the golems were.
Haunting. perfectly fit the level.
Waited so long for someone to post this, thanks dude!
Was waiting for someone to post this.

Damn this music hits home. Materpiece
If you like this kind of music, you should give a look to "Dunegon Synth" and "Dark Ambient" music
This music sounds like it came straight out of PS3 Demon's Souls. If Demon's Souls had level music, it would sound exactly like this.
