I love how they injected a few words beautifully from another great hymn, "It Is Well With My Soul." If you're unfamiliar with that song, and the sorrowful circumstances under which it was written, you should read its history. Very inspirational!
Actually, this one is done in 5 part harmony - because the beat boxer is singing. No drums in this one... just pure harmony. I love your analysis: "rich" is a perfect description.
With Home Free, you can pretty much go to their playlist, close your eyes, and randomly pick something, and you will love it. They have a number of great covers (End of the Road (Boyz II Men); Take Me Home, Country Roads ... to name a couple), some really good mashups (Woman, Amen/Female), and a number of originals (Remember This; Dreamer; Dive Bar Saints; Catch Me If You Can), as well as some collaborations (God Bless the USA [with Lee Greenwood and the Air Force Band]; Children, Go Where I Send Thee [with Kenny Rogers]). And, this doesn't even cover the tip of the iceberg.
The thing is, they can be totally serious and beautiful and heart-moving, then you watch an original like Champagne Taste or Full of Cheer or even Songs That Didn't Make the Cut and find yourself falling out you chair and the tears in your eyes are from hysterical laughter. Love them boys no matter what they're singing!
Home Free had a Christmas album that came out last year, but all the songs are timeless. "Mary Did You Know, O Holy Night, and Do You Hear What I Hear," are just a few. Plus the fun song, "Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer."
The first guy with that deep voice is Tim and he is from Texas he has a 5 octave range the bass. Rob in the big one with the beard and he is from Minnesota the tenor. The one with the ponytail is Adam and an amazing beat boxer and from Minnesota. Austin is the one with the long hair and he is from Georgia and the high tenor. The bass baritone name is Adam but everyone calls him Chance and from Alabama. They filmed this during their European tour. They have many other songs and the fans are called home fries. All acapella group and they won on the Sing Off.
Hey brother, I think I seen you low key wiped a tear. Please don’t be embarrassed. That shows the love and adoration we have for our God. He told us to make a joyful noise and we’re not worshipping the singers, but who those words are meant for. Even so, Jesus come quickly to get your bride and take us home! I’m a new subscriber. This is the first time I’ve watched a video of yours and I love the passion you have for good music. Especially Gospel music. You are my brother-in-Christ Jesus and I love you from one brother to the other. After all we know who our brothers and sisters are, by the love they have for their brothers and sisters!
They are great no matter what they sing! YOU SHOULD HEAR MY CHURCH, AMAZING GRACE, AND SO MANY OTHERS. EXCEPT FOR ONE, THEY HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 18 YEARS!!!
Richest!!! Ever!!! Pure AWESOMENESS!! ❤ Home Free! They are great in concert! You become a Home Fry once you know their names- Tim from Texas is bass, Chance from Alabama sings baritone, Adam original member/founder of Home Free beat boxer (sang in this video which is rare) is from Minn, Rob bearded tenor from Minn and high tenor Austin from Georgia/lives in Nashville are current members. Adam's brother Chris who began the group in college in 2000 left group in 2016 to go solo. Chris is in lots of earlier videos.❤❤❤❤❤
Well, you’ve heard the beatboxer’s longest vocal solo to date so you don’t need to ask if he ever takes the lead, because that was it. Enjoyed the reaction. As others mentioned this was filmed in Austria, a little southeast of Innsbruck.
The next song that you need to hear is MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW!! BUT YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH ANY SONG THEY SING. I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THEM FOR YEARS, AND THEY ARE MY FAVORITE GROUP, HANDS DOWN. TIM FAUST IS THE PHENOMENAL BASS. HE CAN GO DEEPER THAN ANYONE THAT I HAVE HEARD. HE HAS A 5 OCTAVE RANGE. THE BEAT BOXER IS ADAM RUPP. HE IS A 2 TIME WORLD CHAMPION THE BEARDED WONDER IS ROBB LUNDQUIST AND LIKE THE OTHER TWO IS AWESOME. AUSTIN IS THE HIGH TENOR. I. LOVE EVERYTHING THAT HE DOES, HE CAN GET EXCITABLE, IN A GOOD WAY!!! THE FIFTH AND NEWEST MEMBER IS ADAM CHANCE. HE IS A HIGH BARITONE. THIS GROUP IS SO AWESOME. EACH MEMBER IS VITAL, AND I LOVE THEM ALL. BUT MY FAVORITE IS TIM FAUST, THE BASS. EVEN THOUGH HE HAS A 5 OCTAVE RANGE, I LIKE HIS BASS THE MOST. AND NOW I HAVE OPENED PANDORAS BOX FOR YOU. GET OUT THERE AND EXPLORE THEM!
PLEASE watch it over off camera, YOUR EARS WILL THANK YOU ! God bless you brother....this is one of the most incredible harmoniesI've ever heard. Also listen to their cover of Amazing Grace with Peter Hollens...again you will "go to church". I also recommend one of their originals, written by Austin the high tenor, it's called Lonely Girls World. Has a very powerful message, and also if you haven't reacted yet, look at their cover of Everybody Wlkin' this Land....also In the Blood a John Mayer cover
This is my favorite hymn and my favorite version. Hard to believe that Elvis could be pushed to 2nd place, but he has been. Listening to this just makes me feel better.
GREAT REACTION. Because you asked this video was made in the Austrian Alps. It shows the spendor of God's creation. Home free are great. Now here is the very best part Brother. Just wait until we all get to heaven, gather around the Throne and sing this song to Jesus. NOW THAT GIVES ME CHILL BUMPS ALL OVER. WOW THANK YOU JESUS. God Bless You.
As you can see from the MILLIONS of views, lots of people have been moved by this one. I cry everytime Austin does the key change and sings the final verse. 5 beautiful voices with amazing harmonies....you have had lots of good suggestions but I would like to add I Can't Outrun You for something different (Chance directed the video) or Why Not for some fun.
This video is absolutely stunning both visually & aurally, & it’s one of my very favorites by Home Free. It was filmed in the Swiss Alps while they were on tour in Europe.🙂
Great suggestions. Please listen/react to the brief message at the end of Everybody Walking This Land. Other Home Free suggestions: Can’t Stop the Feeling, God Bless America (feat. Lee Greenwood and the Air Force Band), Some Girls Do, Down to the Honkytonk, and Meet in the Middle.
After listening to this list, then you are ready to listen to Mayday. The contrast of Tim and Chance's styles to what they usually do is more impressive after you have some experience.
That one was full five-part harmony throughout the entire piece. That's one reason it seems so full and rich. Like PTX, their beatboxer is multi-talented. It's like hockey when they pull the goalie to put another attacker on the ice. Only in this case, it's the goalie on attack!
If I remember correctly they are in Austria. Gorgeous setting for an incredibly performed song. There are SO many sings you should hear from this group! Mayday might be a good start for you if you havent already. Blessings to you from Oregon!
Definitely check out "Go Rest High On That Mountain" official video. The earlier video vs the more recent one simply because the more recent one will make you cry!
This song, this version of this song, is almost enough to make me religious. It was a spiritual experience! I love religious music. Honesty, I think that beautiful music is probably the greatest thing religion has ever given the world. Obviously, I say this as someone not at all religious. But music and art.... just gorgeous. And this is one of the most gorgeous religious songs I’ve ever heard. Beautiful.
I'm sitting here wondering if you've ever heard "Come Jesus Come" by Stephen McWhirter. He does a 2 different versions of that song, but the best one, to me, is the one he does SOLO with just his guitar. The video has over 3 MILLION VIEWS now, and it really gets me every time I hear it...I cry.
I'm 18 months late but loved your reaction & wanted to answer your question! This was filmed in the Austrian Alps when they were on their European tour. I'm a new subscriber to hear more Home Free! 😊
I agree with the other commenters, you should check out their rendition of "Amazing Grace" - so beautiful and powerful! I agree with your reaction to this ... a completely stunning performance!
I love your reaction so much with this one! I love their rendition of this one so much! I have a special memory of a late family member singing this song decades ago, and it blew me away. Home Free did the same with this one! It’s in my top 5 of all of their songs, covers and originals! I also loved your descriptions as them have a “rich” sound! You hit the nail on the head! I could talk anyone’s ear off about Home Free. My hubby hears me often! lol I pretty much knew you would really appreciate this one!
Sir, you would LOVE to go to one of their concerts....they are amazing ! As the season gets closer do react to some of their Christmas music, they've done an amazing cover of Do you hear what I hear ?
Hello fellow St. Louisan! I love almost anything they do, and this is one of my favorites. But Auld Lang Syne, Helplessly Hoping, Mayday, End of the Road, and O Holy Night are some of my other favorites from them.
I love Home Free - they have so many great songs (covers and originals). Please also react to Voctave‘s version of O Come All Ye Faithful. It too, will blow you away.
This is HF Best video! They’re in the Austrian Alps! HF producer Darrin Rust arranged this mash up of 2 beautiful Hymns!! Listen to their live outdoor performance in Kearney, MO. They loose power during a thunderstorm. They have audience come in close & sing this with lightening & thunder all around! Just their voices! Very powerful! Since your into gospel try “Angels We Have Heard on High”; “My Church”; “Amazing Grace “; “Do You Hear What I Hear”; “Oh Holy Night”!! Hey sing many other genres. Try Man of Constant Sorrow “; “End of The Road”; “Champagne Tastes on a Beer Budget”! SO, SO MANY more great songs!! Keep up the great reactions!!
It was a treat to watch this reaction, as SpydaMike's appreciation of this, to quote him "rich" harmonies provided him with yet more "ear candy", Perfect reaction, said very little during the music playing, and said all that was necessary after the music stopped. :-)
Their official video is great and has a wonderful story with it. Personally I prefer the one on The Country Rebel’s channel in a series called The Church Sessions. It’s a fantastic example of what they can do live. It was recorded in a church (with great acoustics) in Nashville in one take on professional equipment. There may have been some minor adjustments (mastering?) after the fact but for me this demonstrates their live talent better than fan cell phone videos from concerts (with all the background noise and fans singing). I also think the performance is more emotional.
Excellent commentary my Brother in our common Savior, Jesus Christ! My mother in law died and I preach but had never sang accapello before a group, and of course this was her favorite hymn. You can say Phenomenal again!!!! -- This, this my brother --- I agree.... Absolute best ever! Have heard it so many ways ---- but this, this right here takes the cake; layered, max iced -- in a bowl of milk!
This version along with Carrie Underwood version I believe we're from the hand of God and you can't help but be touched to your soul.if you don't feel anything you don't have a soul
Welcome to home free can’t wait to see you do more reactions to them, they are my favourite group and have seen them once live and met them. Awesome people, friendly and talent off the scale. They are even better live, and they are reasonable on all thier prices :) I’ll hopefully be seeing them Sep 25 in toronto if the concert isn’t cancelled. You should check out o holy night, go rest high on that mountain and amazing grace with Peter Hollens. Also something I’m dead sure you will love hallelujah by pentatonix you will enjoy as well.
Really, really enjoyed your reaction to this wonderful song by our wonderful guys!! I subscribed tonight and will be back. You follow them, we will be here with you! Be safe and well. Thanks! Be sure to listen to then sing with Peter Hollens Amazing Grace, another great gospel song. Oh, and try Kenny Rogers with them singing Children Go Where I Send Thee. So many more.
Hello, great reaction! I dont know if you got this information from another comment but they are located in the alps in Austria, they wanted shoot this with a drone while there for a music festival
In answer to your question, it was filmed in the Austria from the Swiss Alps; same mountain range as The Sound of Music movie. Think about the song's opening line, "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music."
1. I cosign your reaction. 2. BRB: Going to look for Home Free's version of "Just as I Am." This is the first time I've heard them too, but if they have a version of "Just as I Am," you should react to that. 3. That bass. Wow.
Home Free is amazing! They do it all great, but when they do gospel, they are flawless, and RICH is the perfect word! Great reaction!
I love how they injected a few words beautifully from another great hymn, "It Is Well With My Soul." If you're unfamiliar with that song, and the sorrowful circumstances under which it was written, you should read its history. Very inspirational!
This is a beautiful hymn and this is the most beautiful version of How Great Thou Art that I’ve ever heard.
Very moving.
Actually, this one is done in 5 part harmony - because the beat boxer is singing. No drums in this one... just pure harmony. I love your analysis: "rich" is a perfect description.
They touched the deepest part of this mans soul and i can 100% understand why
They allowed me to play this for my husbands funeral! All are awesome in this but for me Tim seals the gospel deal in this song
Check out their collaboration with Peter Hollens on Amazing Grace!!!
It will knock your socks off!!
What a bass! TIM FAUST IS AWESOME!!! THEY ARE ALL WONDERFUL!!!
With Home Free, you can pretty much go to their playlist, close your eyes, and randomly pick something, and you will love it. Their cover of “Helplessly Hoping “ is also incredible!
Helplessly Hoping, Seven Bridges Road, and How great thou Art really show off their harmony capabilities.
Chills! They are truly blessed
They did 5 parts in this. The beatboxer sang in this one.
Home Free Go Rest High On That Mountain is also really beautiful
Their version of O Holy Night is beautiful
Home Free had a Christmas album that came out last year, but all the songs are timeless.
"Mary Did You Know, O Holy Night, and Do You Hear What I Hear," are just a few. Plus the fun song, "Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer."
They are so tight, so smooth, and the intricacies of their harmonies just touches the soul.

This was filmed in the Austrian Alps while they were attending an International Acapella Festival in Austria.

They were doing a singing competition in Austria and they did this in the Austrian Alp
It wasn't a competition, it was a concert.
Isaiah Bangura I think it was an a cappella festival of some sort (it may have been a competition) but it wasn’t like a regular tour concert.
It was a country music festival in Austria where they did a concert.

Adam's brother Chris who began the group in college in 2000 left group in 2016 to go solo. Chris is in lots of earlier videos.❤❤❤❤❤
And if you think its impressive in the studio, you should feel it in the auditorium. Beyond worth the price of the ticket.
I've seen them perform twice and can't wait to see them a third time....
Well, you’ve heard the beatboxer’s longest vocal solo to date so you don’t need to ask if he ever takes the lead, because that was it. Enjoyed the reaction. As others mentioned this was filmed in Austria, a little southeast of Innsbruck.
Makes me want to SHOUT!!!!! PTL!!!!!!!LET US HAVE SOME CHURCH!!!!!!!
Lol your hilarious!
When I listen to this song I go along as if this is my prayer
I totally agree with you. These boys just praise God until you want to just cry,
This is my favourite version of this song

This video is absolutely stunning both visually & aurally, & it’s one of my very favorites by Home Free. It was filmed in the Swiss Alps while they were on tour in Europe.🙂
Minor correction. They were in the Alps in Austria.
Nope, Austria!
Austrian Alps
It’s absolutely incredible in person.
They sound just as good live!
Be blessed.
Recommended: Do you hear what I hear?
Listen to them blow up Boyz to Men's "End of the Road". You will love it.
I am a devoted fan of these guys, SO good. If you haven't heard it yet, may I suggest Go Rest High on That Mountain, they do a tremendous rendition!
my suggestions are:
Take Me Home, Country Roads
Man of Constant Sorrow
In the Blood
Everybody walkin this land
Helplessly Hoping
Dreamer
Great suggestions. Please listen/react to the brief message at the end of Everybody Walking This Land. Other Home Free suggestions: Can’t Stop the Feeling, God Bless America (feat. Lee Greenwood and the Air Force Band), Some Girls Do, Down to the Honkytonk, and Meet in the Middle.

Beat boxer is singing, so yep, FIVE part harmony.
Loved your reaction....these are the most beautiful vocal harmonies ever....just pure perfection ! You should now react to their cover of My Church!
Welcome to the Home Free world. Thank you for the awesome video and reaction
It was a treat to watch this reaction, as SpydaMike's appreciation of this, to quote him "rich" harmonies provided him with yet more "ear candy", Perfect reaction, said very little during the music playing, and said all that was necessary after the music stopped. :-)
Thanks so much!
Please react to their cover "Go Rest High On That Mountain". I like their video of the song better than the church sessions. Thanks.
I think you may just be a future Home Fry 😁! Loved your reaction. Blessings!
Thanks so much!
I just discovered them on RUclips they are fabulous!
Air candy and wonderful worship.
I love Home FREE
Excellent commentary my Brother in our common Savior, Jesus Christ! My mother in law died and I preach but had never sang accapello before a group, and of course this was her favorite hymn. My wife of over 40 years asked if I would sing it at the graveside. I wanted to get in my 1967 Camaro SS 350 that I have owned 45 years and get out of Ddge, but what could I do? I sang- just wish these 5 phenomenal voices could have been there!
Thanks for sharing that information my friend, yes this group is amazing!
My Savior God!
Great reaction. God bless sir.
Beautiful version! Great reaction 😊they are in the Swiss Alps 😊
Great rection. R&B, Gospel and Country all tell a great story.
Spirit lifting indeed.
They are in New Zealand, they did some shows there, the scenery inspired them to sing this song on location.
I believe it was filmed in the Swiss Alps. Loved your reaction.
They have a cool mashup of two country songs, Woman, Amen/ Female that I think you will enjoy that gives a look at each individual singer and the amazing vocal percussion's of Adam Rupp.
New subscriber here. Thanks for lovely reaction, love the hymn and the group. Blessings
Alex Johnson thanks for subscribing, new videos coming soon
You can say Phenomenal again!!!! -- This, this my brother --- I agree.... Absolute best ever! Have heard it so many ways ---- but this, this right here takes the cake; layered, max iced -- in a bowl of milk!
This version along with Carrie Underwood version I believe we're from the hand of God and you can't help but be touched to your soul.if you don't feel anything you don't have a soul
Welcome to home free can’t wait to see you do more reactions to them, they are my favourite group and have seen them once live and met them. Awesome people, friendly and talent off the scale. You should check out o holy night, go rest high on that mountain and amazing grace with Peter Hollens. Also something I’m dead sure you will love hallelujah by pentatonix you will enjoy as well.
This was filmed in the Austrian Alps. Peter Hollens feat. Home Free - Amazing Grace.
You should hear Home Free do My Church you will absolutely love it
Looks beautiful I wish I was there .

Really, really enjoyed your reaction to this wonderful song by our wonderful guys!! I subscribed tonight and will be back. You follow them, we will be here with you! Be safe and well. Thanks! Love your reaction! Aren’t they wonderful? ❤️❤️❤️
They are amazing, I’m posting more home free videos soon so be on the lookout!
I want to say that they were in Europe for a singing competition and filmed this in the Alps.
Home Free is so talented. You should check out more from them.
Loved this reaction!
GREAT REACTION!
Hello, great reaction! I dont know if you got this information from another comment but they are located in the alps in Austria, they wanted shoot this with a drone while there for a music festival
Love your reaction!!!!
You should hear their cover of Boyz II Men's song, End Of The Road. 💥
It's amaazing live!!😊💜
They filmed it in Austria..... beautiful
In answer to your question, it was filmed in the Austria from the Swiss Alps; same mountain range as The Sound of Music movie. Think about the song's opening line, "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music."
This was filmed in the alps. Aerial shots were done by drone
Kevin McBride thanks for the information, the drone defiantly has to be a inspire 2 because the footage looks amazing!
@@SpydaMikeHD agreed...the scenery is as breath-taking as the groups tallent. My favourite from them is My Church.
these men are not just performing, they are worshipping
1. I cosign your reaction. 2. BRB: Going to look for Home Free's version of "Just as I Am." This is the first time I've heard them too, but if they have a version of "Just as I Am," you should react to that. 3. That bass. Wow.
They are fantastic. They are on par with Take 6.
