I met Home Free at a funeral. Family showed Home Free's video during the service. That began my love affair. Been to 4 concerts and can't wait for the 5th!! Thanks for your reaction.❤
You are so lucky to have met them !
That is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard! When I stumbled upon this video a couple years ago, it sealed my fate as a diehard Home Free fan. I’m addicted to them, and I don’t want a cure! 😂
I would actually destroy the cure 😂
I do agree with you!! The best vocal band ever!! I have listened to this so many times and it never fails to astonish me!!
I love your reaction! Home Free is the best. I love their harmonies. And the way that they enunciate! They definitely end every word. I recently found out that when Adam is singing, instead of beat-boxing, he is not only "another tenor" but actually sings the high tenor harmony when Austin is lead. Every one of these men is an incredible vocalist.
I just was wondering that after watching this reaction (I’ve watched dozens) and wondered who was singing tenor instead of Austin. Makes sense now. Just amazing!! Thanks for the info!
@@Pilot545 Yeah. It's way cool having 2 basses & 3 tenors!
Thank you and its an interesting dynamic between 3 tenors and 2 basses.
That final note is a harmony of Tim and Chance
Yesss it was incredible!!!!
Whew! The reverence in this rendition is incomparable. No matter what your religious background is, or even if you don't have one, this rendition is able to speak to anyone with a pulse. It's soooo powerful. The harmonies take me beyond mere chills. I physically shiver when I listen to this one. I really like all of your reactions, but I adore the ones that make you go back over and over again. The ones that have you covering your face in amazement and emotion and leave you in wonder of what you just heard. Home Free is a very, very special group. Thank you for a beautiful reaction.❤
Isn't that the most beautiful thing you've ever heard? This video was shot by a drone in the Alps of Austria, while they were there for a music festival. If their tight harmonies and beautiful voice didn't get to you, then that beautiful scenery certainly will. Loved your reaction. It Was Priceless! Thank you. Oh...and by the way, you one of only a handful of reactors that even noticed that that was Adam, the beat boxer, singing. Congrats on catching that.
I am still recovering from that shock in the end haha
That angelic, heavenly 'aaaarrrrrt' building and then boom...like thunder the bass and baritone kick in to boost it over the clouds.
Exactly!!! 😂
You can FEEL this vibrating your soul into a higher frequencies, can't you!! Thanks for a great reaction!
I was definitely up there !! Stay tuned for more 😃
I think this video was made in the Alps when they were in Austria.
Yeah It was!
This reminds us it's not about religion...it's about the relationship! BEAUTIFUL !
Agreed
QoFy: "I don't wanna get goose bumps. I'm strong. No feelings."
*Hear's the last chord and throws his headphones off in amazement* lol
Hahaha I couldn't help myself
Your reaction was so good. The scenery, the arrangement, and the blend of voices, almost too much to process. So good. Love your channel.
Lydell Manning Thank you 😁
Thank you sir, I appreciate the mention, and I told you it would blow you away. That last chord at the end, it's one of the best things I've ever heard in a song. Their arranger should be given a Grammy for that. They are just magical at times. You should also check out a couple more that just spectacular & will show off the musicality you really enjoy - "It's in the Blood" the John Mayer cover, and watch that one all the way to the end....a surprise there. Also End of the Road a cover of Boyz to Men song & Take me home Country Roads a cover of the John Denver classic. Keep going through their library of songs on RUclips your ears will thank you....so glad you did this !! Oh and have a wonderful 4th of July weekend
Thanks for the comment.
Got something coming for 4th July😉
Stay tuned 👀
@@QofyReacts yes sir !!! looking forward to that tomorrow !!! Have a terrific Friday :)
I love seeing young people loving music like you do.. It's AWESOME !! And you pick out the tiny things they do.. tells me you are just loving acapella !!!
I appreciate that!
Exactly. My. Reaction. These harmonies are impossibly stunning. That amazing low load of harmony at the end is amazing.
Mind Blowing!
I loved watching you react to this one, and also watching you as you were trying to figure out who was singing what. No knock at all on Chris (Adam Rupp's brother who was with Home Free earlier on), but Chance, like Tim has a legitimate 4 octave range, but pitched a bit higher. You'll hear him hit deep-baritone, bass notes in this one as well as tenor notes, filling out those layers when Rob and Austin take the lead. To give you an idea of his range, listen to him on "I Can't Outrun You" or the bass note he hits on "Mayday" and then listen to the higher notes he hits on "Can't Stop the Feeling." With that added support, they now have every single range covered from deep bass to high tenor with backing support for layering of harmonies. Truly amazing and so polished.
Hahaha I have evolved in knowledge on all about what the Legendary Chance can do!!
I watch this reaction over and over and your response is priceless
Haha I appreciate you Hazel
Best rendition I've ever heard of this song! Another one that is just amazing is their collaboration with Lee Greenwood and the US Air Force Band, God Bless the USA. Hope you'll check it out!
Stay tuned for July 4th 👀
@@QofyReacts yay!!! Can't wait! Have a wonderful day!!
Home Free never disappoints! This the best version of this song I have heard. Love your reaction!
You have become one of my favorite reactors really quickly! You stop at all the right places, and always appreciate the little things they do! I love that you go back to listen to something that amazed you. Also, you're very knowledgeable! (Falling off the chair and saying "What the hell!" LOL!) Please keep doing Home Free!!!
I appreciate that hahah
This reaction…iconic ☺️❤️‼️…
Amazing, aren’t they! Adam Rupp has a beautiful voice that we rarely hear. So yes, they have 5-part harmony on this one.
Adam has a comparable range to Tim.
As a fellow SDA, I too grew up hearing this song. They just do it so much better. Austin really brings it home. Beautiful harmonies. I also think Adam needs more singing solo parts in future songs. He has a beautiful tenor voice.
Yeah I'd want to hear more of Adam
The high background notes you hear when Austin is lead are Adam, the beatboxer. The last bass is Tim and Chance together. At least that's what I hear.
They sound majestic; just like the mountains on which they stand!
Speechless....that's how we like to see reactors at the end of this awesome video! This is just the most beautiful vocal harmonies ever! Its even more beautiful when you see it live!
Completely blown away
This takes me to heaven's gate every time. It's the absolute best.
I used to sing in a choir in a church with a pipe organ.....and that ending was like a pipe organ done with voices. Magnificent!
Loved your reaction! It blew me away the first time I heard it too! I get chills every time I hear it!
It's so good!
I watched as you backed up twice over the key change, and I had to laugh, because I did the same thing! They change the key so seamlessly that you can't really tell it changed for a second!
So true
Yup. Darren's arrangement is so fabulous. And they did such an amazing job. Hymns are not my thing, but THIS...... So beautiful.
These guys HAVE to be angels in disguise! I've heard this rendition so many times and it still gives me goosebumps and gets the Holy Spirit in me going every single time. Best rendition to one of my all-time favorite hymns and your reaction to it was wonderful. Looking forward to seeing more and God bless you! :)
If you enjoyed this, which was very obvious you did, you woiuld probably like HOME FREE - GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN.. Great, fun reaction, thanks ❤❤❤
I'll check it out!
QoFyReacts For pure musical enjoyment listen to the version on Country Rebel’s channel in a series of videos called The Church Sessions, rather than the official music video. It was recorded in one take at a church in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s basically a live recording with professional audio equipment in a building with great acoustics and no extraneous sounds from an audience. It really shows you what the five of them can do.
One of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE favorite HYMNS EVER!!! They just TOOK y'all to CHURCH young man!! Fun fact...Tim has a 5 OCTAVE range!!! "I dont want to get chills... I have no feelings. I'm STRONG"...proceeds to rip off headphones and fall off y'alls chair!! 😂😂😂
Y'alls reactions are so great and fun to watch...blessings❣❣❣
Hahah I was caught off guard
That is the way I feel all the time when I hear Home Free also you can hear different things every time you listen to the same song loved your reactions
I heard about 7 parts haha
That had to be the Best reaction to any song that I have ever seen !!!!!! Congratulations for a fabulous job and never tone down that joy you have in a job well done !!!
Wow I appreciate this comment so much!
I agree with you Terri!
Your loss for words is how so many of their performances leave me. I have to listen over and over to hear everything that is going on in the sounds that I hear. Every song they put out is my new favorite!
Agreeed!
Excellent reaction. Exactly how I reacted. I'm speechless.
I love your reactions. They are pretty much the same as I react every time I listen to them. The effortless beauty of their harmonies is amazing.
Haha thank you! Couldn't agree more!
Ok! I don’t know how I missed this one, but this has to be one of my favorite reactions to a Home Free video!! I lost it at the end when you fell over sideways! 😂 The end was like a Heavenly ending, for real! It left me in awe the first time I saw it! It’s one of my top 5 favorite of theirs! This one has special meaning to me, and Home Free performed it beautifully!!
Hahah just seeing this Beth
I listened to this so many times one day watching reactions. I told my husband I felt like I needed to be baptised again.
I think that Chase gives them so many more options than Chris did. Tim and Chase combine to hit that base note in several songs and it makes for such a full and rich sound.
Agreed
This one just Grabs & doesn’t let go of you !!! What a Beautiful job !!! ☦️🙏☦️💖
It does!
If you really want to be blown away, watch their 'Helplessly Hoping' cover. There's "a lot" going on in that one, in it's simplicity!! It appears quite simple, but it's actually quite complex! You will be amazed by the precision!! Lovin' your reactions! Thx!
VJ I appreciate you. Will check it out!!
Thanks for the reaction - you really can't keep the goose bumps away. So awesome - and the ending sounds like a great organ - with the bass pedals to fill out the chord at the end!
They are the best. No competition
No competition haha
This cover reminds me of Gods gift to these men, and his gift to us to enjoy.
This really is one of their most special songs, the arrangement, the scenery and just the plain talent on display. Adam Rupp is a tenor, and will sometimes sing harmony instead of beat-boxing if that's what is needed, but for a long time this was the only time he actually sang a lead, even one line all on one note. 😀 It's his choice, he's not confident doing it, but they did persuade him to take another line in Quarantine. If you're looking for more great 5-part harmony look for Helplessly Hoping, and some of their Christmas carols.
Will check them out 🙂
I agree QofFy Helplessly Hoping is a MUST REACT TOO....again it will blow you away
@Kevin I am curious now haha
@@QofyReacts it's very different, but you'll really enjoy it...the harmony & chords are out of this world
Loving your reactions to this amazing talented group.
Thank you so much!!
I loved your reaction. This is the first song that I heard. I love the hymn from Church, but this version, wow. I have watched this video so many times that I don't even know. I still get goosebumps and tears. I believe this is one of the first songs that Chance is in. He was a bass in his previous group, so Tim can sing lead and there is still a bass in the harmonies.
Thanks again for your reaction.
Thank you so much :)
Chance's first Home Free song was in House Party, but only as a party guest.
The first song that he sang with HF was Try Everything, a Shakira cover (from the movie Zootopia).
You should give their cover of Helplessly Hoping a go as it’s another one without beatboxing and you get to hear Chance highlighted as well. It’s one of my favorites that’s all vocal and harmonizing. It’s spectacular.
Melisa Cross
I will have a look at that🙂
@@QofyReacts Yes! Helplessly Hoping! Do it - please!!
They are amazing
That is a collision of great sound at the end.
Blew me away!
The delivery was perfect the message too! Amen
this is the way to raise a joyful noise unto him
WHAT?!?!?! I’m watching all your reactions I missed. I love how you reacted to this. It’s spectacular live. When they do 5 part harmonies like this I just die a little bit inside each time. In a good way. If this is what heaven is like, I want to be there!
Brilliant reaction. Glad you loved them!! Take care.
The best
Most beautiful rendition of this song ever.
I've never seen you so speechless. Wonderful to watch.
Home Free has made dozens of absolutely great videos, but this one still tops my list as their best video performance.
Couldn't agree more!
Love your reaction to this!! It's an amazing rendition.
“Where’d my headphones go?!” Lol.
hahahah
Thanks!! This video is an absolute favorite! 🙏
Absolute perfection!
Wow. That was wonderful. And I have not known this group, so thank you for the reaction. Will check out your playlist.
Please do :)
Surfandsand, welcome to the Home Free world. Enjoy the ride _ this is the group that got me through quarantine
They just took you to church! 😉 And I loved it!! Great reaction!
They did haha!
The end shakes you to your very soul.
I quite agree, How Great Thou Art is such a speciality. Yet they have so many other songs also just increadible. Spectacular group!!!
I know....it blows my mind every time I listen to it! It will so be played at my funeral !!!
Its such a great rendition
My sentiments Exactly..it’s so beautiful ☦️💖☦️
Loved your reaction! Please do there version of Amazing Grace with Peter Holland you will love it as well! Also Thinking out loud/lets get it on!
andee maurice
Will check it out 😁
These guys make you not want to sing again coz man this is unmeasurable. You feel like it's pointless to sing coz u can't get to that level. These guys are just great
Exactly
Love HF mashup of these 2 hymns! Producer Darrin Rust did an incredible arrangement!! They found the perfect background in the Austrian Alps. ‘‘Tis one of the few songs Adam Rupp sings in!! Great reaction!!
Jan Kreps
It was so good
LOL I say again, your reaction is fun to watch. I don’t like the swearing, but you probably was really into it, so it’s understandable. Beautiful song and tight harmonies. Love the sky high tenor, the bass, all of them! 😊
Hahah thank you Yolanda
Your reaction is priceless! I saved it so I can keep watching it, lol.
Aww thank you. I couldn't keep my posture for long
Amazing heartfelt reaction! This never gets old to watch again and again!
Nice to see your smiling face. It's been a while since I've watched any reaction videos. 😅
Great reaction! Playing the ending 2 or 3 times was good, listeners really get to hear that base Tim drops at the very end. And nicely done with the technical analysis.
Glad you enjoyed
This is definitely the best version of this song I’ve ever heard! This was my grandmas favorite song, we sang it at her funeral.
Sorry for your loss!
I hope you did justice to the bass part though 😁
QoFyReacts I left that to my brother and my cousin. I held down the soprano. Haha
Nice work!!
I just looked and I even liked that video! 🤦🏼♀️
It’s been a crazy couple of days.
This is a great cover. Love this version.
Same here
Your reaction at the end...priceless!!!!!! Love your channel! Keep up the great work! Sue
Thank you! Will do!
5 part harmony! Beautiful! 💖
Loved your emotional response. Hits me similarly.
Thank you
Have you reacted to Go Rest High On That Mountain? It is fantastic! There are two versions. One in a church and one video. Both are wonderful!!
Not yet. Will check it out stay tuned😁
Revisiting Qofy’s earlier stuff 👏👍 it’s amazing how they are just 5 people but they sound like a whole choir 😲😎
Home Free they do be a content machine. That final two-bass drop to complete the chord was just showing off.
We can all appreciate the beautiful harmonies and the glorious scenery. This is just an amazing arrangement of this wonderful song. Thanks for your reaction
I knew those last chords would get to you, its so beautiful. That's why I said the tightness of the harmonies from Run to You were comparable to How Great Thou Art. Thanks for another great reaction
Ahhh I think I agree with that
It was Wonderful!!! (Don’t curse!!!)
Great reaction 😊
Tim and Chance can both go low. Chance has four octave range and sings baritone. Tim has five octave range reaches the sub bass lows that you hear.
Its incredible innit? !
If you loved this, you should really check out "Do You Hear What I Hear". It's amazing!
Added to my list :)
@@QofyReacts Also note that the arrangement for this song was done by the beatboxer, Adam Rupp.
@@debrabusch1090 Yes, and I don't think I've ever heard a better arrangement!
Unlike most of their songs, Adam Rupp wasn’t beatboxing this time, so they had full 5 part harmony, with Austin, Rob and Adam doing Tenor, and Tim and Chance doing bass and baritone.
hahahaha!!! You are hilarious and you make you happy every song I watch you react to! Thanks for bringing us your joy! Incredible isn't it? Heard/watched it probably 100 times and never ever gets old! Take care. Be sure watch Peter Hollens and Home Free do Amazing Grace! Another blow your mind away one!
I thank you haha! I will add that to my list!
I would love to see your reaction to Homefree's drum solo.It will blow you away at how good their beat boxer is.
I will check it out 😁
There aren’t many songs performed that can take me to the edge of tears when they’re sung so amazingly. Their harmonies are absolutely astonishing. You can HEAR the overtones because their harmonies and intonations are so perfect. Especially in the last chord before the bass and baritone join. Truly a pleasure to listen to over and over.
Couldn't agree more
The extra part you can hear is actually Adam as he doesn't do any beat boxing here. He does a few little singing cameo's.
Hes great
@@QofyReacts I read somewhere that he actually has a very good voice and has sung in choir in the past but just doesn't feel comfortable singing solo parts. You can tell from this video that he does have a good voice and another video without the beat where he sings is Helplessly Hoping.
That beatboxer Adam Rupp is the founder of the group...
You will not find a disappointing song from HF! Not to be picky but the song book is called the hymnal. The song is a hymn. Your reactions are awesome! These men are a gift from God, that’s for sure!!!
Sue Creswell
Thank you
One person’s hallelujah is another’s god damn. It’s called emphasis
