I worked as a Driver on the 207 route at this time, all the Union reps outside the garage, It brought back some good memories, I couldn't believe the area around Ealing Broadway station there is little traffic, now you can't move up there.

Did you also notice how much rubbish there is on the floor in the video? Not everything gets worse with time.

After training and passing my driving test, my first day out as a driver operator was the day the garage went on strike! I arrived at the garage to see everyone on a picket line. I loved that job, except on the 207 when it went past Ealing and on to Acton, The Vale & Shepherds Bush.

Do any of you old drivers remember in the early 80s, the 207 have a partition? So you'd all get off on the door you get on but had a small partition down the middle. Can't find any photos or reference to it.

I remember single many strikes over stuff like Modifies bus and big bus pay. Where Decket drivers could work a rest day on a midi Route and get their rate. But midi drivers were no able to work Deckers
