Canonically she suffered a mental breakdown over the death of her husband. She's got random AI because she's insane. Her grief manifested in in a dangerous obsession with the Ultra Beasts. In the original games she wanted to gain their power for herself but in the expanded lore of USUM she wanted to destroy them all. Which is why she had Type: Null created, why she treated her kids like trash and tried to turn her son into the trigger puller for the weapon that is Type: Null. Cosmog was always central to her plans as she needed its transdimensional warping powers to rip open portals to the dimension of the Ultra Beasts.

THEN I'll do the story. I'm also training basically everything as a personal challenge so it's taking a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. I have 2 badges now and when I finish grinding will go do a 3rd.

I believe that Kahili's only non-E4 appearance occurs when you obtain the Flyinium Z at Ten Carat Hill in USUM, where she demonstrates the movement that activates the Flyinium Z (what she calls "her dance" in the dialogue). And there, the game only gives her name as ???.

@@greninjafw edit for a TL;DR it’s bad compared to other magnezone, not other Pokémon in general.
I’ll try to better explain my reason for saying so. Amongst its magnezone peers, it naturally has special attack that is average at best. It has the highest of the least useful stat. Of 25 natures, the only 4 u could objectively call worse than naughty are each that lower special attack. It has potentially the 6th worst nature it could have, since brave could arguably be below naughty. Speed lowering natures that aren’t quiet or brave are less detrimental to its survival as they would at least compensate with extra defense. Based on the info we have, comparing it to other magnezone would show that it is average at best in speed, average at best in special attack, and below average at taking special hits. A slow special attacking tank, without a boost to special attack, and an inferior ability to take hits, without even a boost in speed to compensate slightly, means that it is less likely to survive the play through, compared to at least 5 other magnezone out of 10.

Was looking for a comment of someone saying how great alola is. By far the best gen, and my only fault is the start of the game but compared to the faults other games in the series have it is easily (imo) better. I get not liking the cutscenes but the story is really good mainly in vanilla sun and moon. Its more character focused than plot focused but i think that really works. I also think he exaggerated how long it takes to ev train, if anything gen 7 are the easiest to ev train with sos chaining (minus gen 6 having super training).

    • @Lechgang
      @Lechgang 2 года назад +31

@@louish5068 Alola is a fantastic experience for a first playthrough, but the more and more you play it, that's when the cutscenes get to you. I'm willing to bet most people are playing pokemon on roms nowadays. The problem with that is, it only covers the 2d era of pokemon, and it has speedup, so skipping past all the dialogue is much easier. So a lot of the lulls of Alola aren't even its own fault.
The story is great, but a good story can get dull with too many repeated visits, like watching the same movie over and over. But I think if there was a "skip cutscene" button, people would be a lot nicer.

I was running Zoroark in my first playthrough of Ultra Sun, having no idea the Ultra Necrozma boss fight was a thing. I also happened to be running a poison type. Having disguised Zoroark as my Poison type, Ultra Necrozma just could not punch through with it's Photon Geyser.
A notoriously hard fight completely washed by a mix of pure coincidence and improvisation. I remember hearing my brother, who was playing UM, talking all kinds of shit about how difficult his battle with UN was.
I just giggled because it literally didn't do a single thing to me, and was also genuinely surprised because it didn't occur to me what power that thing actually had until everyone talked about how hard it was.

The title should be "how i toxic stalled an entire nuzlocke run"
A bit too much stalling for my taste, but a good video as always, keep it up man!

I mean stalling is one of the best ways to survive in Ultra Alola specially against that lie- lie- Light dragon.

I didn't watch the ending to this for as long as I could (I think you started streaming it in June?), believing that you would eventually upload this to YT. Today I finally decided 'Oh well he's not going to ever upload it so might as well watch it' and right now I'm kicking myself in the shin for spoiling the ending for myself.

Situations where the well known "FEAR" strategy fails:
    1. Opponent uses a multi strike move(gen 5 onwards)
    2. Rattata flinches before endeavor.
    3. Since Endeavor is considered a contact move, it triggers Opponent's iron barbs, rough skin or rocky helmet.
    4. Opponent uses a move that inflicts status like a burn from scald, poison from poison jab, paralysis followed by full paralysis from discharge, confusion followed by bad confusion luck from signal beam, freeze from ice beam or sleep from relic song.
    5. In a similar way, Rattata triggers Opponent's flame body, poison point, static, or effect spore
    6. Hailstorm( gen 9 prior ) or sandstorm is in effect.
    7. Opponent has the ability Dazzling or Queenly majesty which prevents any priority move including quick attack
    8. Psychic Terrain is in effect which also prevents priority moves
    9. Opponent knows its own priority move.
    10. Opponent uses a move that does residual damage at the end of turn like heatran's signature move magma storm.
    11. Magic room is in effect which prevents focus sash from activating.
12.(only implies for zeraora)if rattata is hit by zeraora's plasma fists move its normal type endeavor gets changed to an electric type move therby instead cutting zeraora's HP to 1, it'll activate its volt absorb ability.
I'd be happy if anybody adds more of threse situations.
Since ultra necrozma's case doesn't fall under any of these conditions it is safe to imply FEAR strategy or FESPR strategy like flygon.

I really enjoy that you don't sound like a sports commentator like a lot of other RUclipsrs. Your voice is much less exhausting to listen to, which is nice for videos as long as these.

I can’t believe you went through that cutscene torture for us. I liked these games because of the difficulty (which was missing in the previous generation) but absolutely HATED it because of the cutscene every single second. And the annoying part was that half the time it was your rival who just wanted to explain basic buildings/places to us. As if we can’t explore things on our own. These are the only Pokemon games I’ve only played once, and for good reason

Regarding Kahili, there was a commenter once that pointed out why she is a golfer and a flying type user:
One stroke under par is a "Birdie"
Two strokes under par is an "Eagle"
Three strokes under par is an "Albatross"
Four strokes under par (unofficially) is a "Condor"

Interestingly, Lusamine is basically the only lategame trainer with beginning-game trainer AI. I think it's probably supposed to represent that she's gone off the deep end?
Anyway, I always enjoy the content, and always glad to see another USM run! Aside from the slow earlygame, they're pretty much what my ideal Pokemon games look like: Hard, but fair with tons of Pokemon variety, and just the right level of campiness of characters in Gladion, Hau, and other minor characters.

This definitely has potential to be more challenging, I had the same where it got pretty easy after the 2nd island totems:
Ban all setup moves/tms +toxic, taunt and protect tm (sub is already postgame)
    Ban Z Moves
    Item clause (only 1 leftovers)
I think infinite Rare Candies and BP is a legitimate timesave

I love your runs because they show you can use unconventional Pokémon to overcome massive challenges. A lot of lets players and Nuzlockers just want to have a team full of OP pseudo legendaries and brute force the game, which often leads to wipes.
