Hi Jackie! It seems like something bad is happening in the animation and game industry. As a junior to middle artist, I'm struggling to find a job. It appears that all the junior positions have vanished, as if they were destroyed by an asteroid and erased from Earth. I don't understand why. A few years ago, it was much easier to break into the industry. Right now, I feel lost and can't even draw for fun anymore. I'm considering any ordinary office job, but I have no idea how to regain my focus. Perhaps it's due to AI or an overheated market, or maybe my portfolio isn't strong enough. If you have any thoughts on this issue, please make a video discussing it. I know many artists are unemployed, and even Disney has laid off a lot of employees. How to keep moving forward in such conditions? Thanks for the content and for keeping us motivated!
i was laid off by netflix last year cause of projects being cancelled. i think it's because there was a boom with streaming services and people needing content during the pandemic, but now it's fading off and studios are realizing they can't keep up with the pace. i think this will continue for a few years before it gets to a regular pace again. bests of luck!
