This is the DLC that concludes the story of The Callisto Protocol. There's a lot of lore in the data files (1:13:25) that can only be read in the menu that's very easy to miss. Also, there's a small funny scene after the credits (1:27:07). Don't miss them. I don't know if I will run the main game on single segment no damage. I'll give it a test on Contagion mode and see what I think. It should be a lot more bearable with the skippable cutscenes now. Bosses: - Dr Caitlyn Mahler (1:16:38)
General tips: - For the enemies that are scripted to mutate, just throw them at a wall to cause physical trauma, expose the tentacles and quickly finish them off with a couple of shots. - In general, don't attack enemies after they do single punches (unless they have one arm). There's a small chance that they can start another combo before you have time to hit them. - For the invisible enemies, they only attack one at a time, so set yourself in a position where you can see who's coming for you. I don't recommend initiating a melee attack after a follow up shot since at times Jacob will miss them and then they will be able to retaliate very quickly. - When fighting biobots, if you want to chain combos, don't shoot right away when you get the blue reticle (follow up shot). Wait for about half a second before shooting once and you will be able to start another combo right after the shot before they can hit you. An example of a long chain of combos can be seen here: 1:09:30 . - When you have the hammer, you can stop biobot's charge attack with an R1 hit. If you prematurely hit them with R2, you can still use R1 in a combo to stop them before you get hit. I do recommend starting a combo with R1 and then using R2 though since you will be able to chain combos with follow up shots. - When biobots have one arm, they tend to get seemingly very passive and wait for you to attack. Don't fall for that since they can hit you before your attack connects. - The charge attack is very inconsistent in rooms with elevations or corpses in the way. I only recommend using it in clean flat areas. - For Mahler's projectiles attack, notice that there's a pattern: you're supposed to move left for the first two fireballs only and then start moving to the right. You can force her to charge at you if she's far from you by shooting her at mid to long range right after a projectile attack. During the last cycle, she will naturally start charging at you and she's able to chain multiple charge attacks.
Whilst the ending is really fitting and honestly the only way things could have ended for Jacob when he stayed behind while Dani escaped…I really wish the poor guy could have gotten out as well. One job left till retirement and he fought like hell. If a sequel ever does get made though I’d love to see Dani take the reins and get more character development.
You deserve more subs man, you’re an incredible gamer. And man, I always make sure to play games before watching because of spoilers. So the ending seriously killed me, I liked this game, and wanted to see them take the feedback and make a good sequel to it, but this ending obviously meant they aren’t making a series. That sucks tbh. I liked Jacob, and seeing him go that way and knowing that’s the only game we get was pretty devastating.
Holy shit nice job. Also, what an ending! I’m glad they ended it in a.. way like this, but however, I would of had loved a sequel! Sooo… I’m super curious to see what happens next in their project from their studio! Nice job! Great video, well done.
chiquito maquina y yo llevo en nivel medio como 10 intentos, soy un manco. He de decir que practique y copie tu tecnica y funciono desde que le cogui el punto, muchas gracias maestro.
I was hoping he'd make it. I know pple say that this is to justify his sacrifice but they could have kept him alive to help bring down "the circle" or whomever these illuminate group is. Introducing a relatable character so early then killing them off almost makes you think there wont be a part 2
It is so so for me. Some things are better than the main campaign, other things are worse. My initial reaction was pretty negative too. I’m guessing by broken you mean the hammer’s charge attack? 😂
@@idi-jq6cj Yes, definitely. I liked a couple of stealth encounters (one of which you can use the GRP to generate distraction and stun - 1:10:30), they are far better than the main campaign. And they did learn to not put spike walls in every room so you have to use other tactics. The concept of using other types of melee against the biobots (the heavy melee and hammer charge attack) had potential to make the melee more interesting than what we do in the base game. But then the hammer's charge is very broken and the biobots can have some weird behavior. The pace is also substantially better with much less vent crawling and such and it shows how they were able to optimize the game's performance post release. But then there are ten other encounters where they show they learned nothing from the criticism of the main game. 😅
I believe that Dead Space will be a very cathartic experience for you after playing TCP. Was really looking forward to this one too but the disappointment is eased somewhat by just how good DSR is.
I played the original and the Remake. It’s a really great game but I don’t want to rush it and will take my time with it. Unfortunately they don’t have skippable cutscenes which sort of ruins doing challenge runs. DSR so far is still my choice for GOTY.
How do you feel about the patches that made the game easier? Speeding up animations, adjusting the enemy AI and such? Would rather hear this sort of thing from a pro.
I like most of the changes as they make the game more balanced. It puts the game in a much better state than it was on release. A few changes were for the worse though: they reduced the follow-up shot from GRP+melee which allowed you to do a timed leg shot for guaranteed leg dismemberment (it was one of the coolest mechanics in the game combining GRP/melee/gunplay). I think it still needs a lot more adjustments though. The dodge detection improved a lot but there are still times it fails for no reason. There are still some bugs here and there related to performance too. I wonder if the PC version is any better. They should add more camera/aiming speed parameters - it’s still very bad on consoles. Switching weapons is still slow and the controls for it are very weird.

To be honest, I didn't expect the ending after the credits, "Jacob breaking the 4th Wall."

Awesome job, strange that they chose this type of ending for Jacob
Thanks!
In a way, I respect their decision because otherwise the DLC would diminish Jacob's sacrifice in the main game.
This game ending was fantastic
That's one fu**d up ending. Anyway great job.

This is such a broken, unpolished, unfulfilling DLC. I gave this DLC a 10^-10/10 after just finishing my blind Playthrough today.

@@Aether2125 Yeah, among other things. I do think Mahler’s fight is more interesting than Ferris’ fight though.

Thanks for this guide
You are a total star because the boss fights in Final Transmission are almost impossible on Maximum Security.

@@Aether2125also big fan of you started watching ur stuff recently and it’s better than eveything else
Awesome job, amazing as always. Do you have any plan for The Evil Within 1 & 2 no damage playthrough?
I'm currently working on The Evil Within 1 along with two other runs. It should be one of the next projects.
Well we waiting don't be late 🙂

What's the next Project
I don't know exactly. I have a few runs I'm currently working on simultaneously but not sure which will come first.
Stupid ending 😭
Lol this dude makes the game look like a joke
