Born and lived in Galway most my life you guys are spot on in ur thoughts on my city I love it here when I go on holiday I'm so happy coming back home to Galway maybe it's age but this quiet part of world makes me happy be here with the madness going on elsewhere
We love your city! Hands down one of our favorite places in Ireland
Locations all over ireland have wild water swimming. Anywhere else there is sea you will find people of all ages swimming especially early morning.
We love it!
That's true, I grew up on the coast. My father would have me and my siblings swimming at the crack of dawn all year round. He was an Army Officer and put a premium on developing the physical constitution, he did so in a way we found fun with his stories of our forebears the ancient Gaels and the Fianna. Like a fun school class but in the freezing sea under the cold rain 😂
Thanks for the nice video. I was in Galway in March and even then the weather was mild enough to walk around. The streets always were lively and and had reasonably priced food and resturaunts. I choose Galway at random and wanted to get away from busy Dublin.
You made an excellent random choice! Galway is a gem!
Discover Wexford in the Sunny South East (Curracloe Beach is seven miles long, wide golden sand beach, dunes, shallow water), are is known for its Strawberries.
Adding to the list, thanks Clive!! We also LOVE strawberries
I love Galway and it’s people Great craic as they say
Galway is the pearl of the world.
Glad you enjoyed Galway. It is a magical place!
It really is. We loved it so much!
Wow, just wow 🤩! Your videos are always so mesmerizing, I can't wait to see more.
Thanks Total Walker we appreciate your support! Happy Travels
@@jimmyandbabstravels big love from a galway girl x💜🫶🏼🥰🧚🏻♀
Galway is a city, albeit a smallish one. You don't expect a beach in a city However, a few kilometers west outside the city there are beaches.
Don't come to Ireland if you want mediterranean weather. The gulf stream brings milder but wetter weather.
We agree! Ireland does have some amazing beaches along the Wild Atlantic Way (Tullan Strand is a favorite)
Thanks for doing a video on my home city Galway weather usually is better in June and salthill beach is more of a chill beach bringing a partner swimming in the shore or grabbing something to eat at the restaurants by the shore
Thanks for watching and for the tips!
Plenty of beaches in Galway ! You were walking on one !
Thanks for tuning in! I think because of the season we went there weren’t anyone at the beaches - thus the lack of beachy vibes. I assume things are different in the summer heat. Cheers and happy travels!
It’s been awhile since I was there but I thought then it was a secret tourist spot mama mcdonaghs fish restaurant, Spanish arch, the old churches, the quays pub, the Druid theater, salt hill, the twelve pins, sky road… it was awesome trip!
I saw some great Jazz in Galway too
We stayed in Galway a few nights and the bars/restaurants varied the music quite a bit. Lots of great cover bands in the area too!
Fair play lads, great review. Bring a raincoat. ☘️
Thanks for tuning in! Haha we bring a light rain jacket everywhere we travel. Cheers friend!
Never been to Galway, thanks for a great 👍 video, subscribed cheers
Galway really captures the magic of Ireland! Hope you make it there someday. Cheers!
Enchanted? Galway? Hey the food and the craic is good, very walkable, but fairy tale?
BTW: All the best beaches are way out west. Massive (and often deserted) kilometre long sandy beaches in Mayo, Galway and Clare, but there isn't much in the way of bus services to them. White and Silver Strand beaches in Mayo for example are right at the end of narrow roads, so unless you've got a car you can't get to them. On the other hand, Achill beach is huge, and there is a bus service from Westport.
Haha we did find it enchanting, but keep in mind we live in Los Angeles 😅😂
So glad yee had a great time in this beautiful little country of ours. Now, if could just stick a roof over it, it would be perfect 😉😂🍻🇮🇪
Haha the weather was on our side when we visited. We did get rained on when we went to the Aran Islands, so I see what you mean lol. Cheers friend!

Great little city.
It really is!
Next time try wicklow they garden of Ireland
Thanks for tuning in and the suggestion! We’ll check it out for our next Ireland trip. Cheers and happy travels!
Why no mention of Galway Bay and the famous song?
Those weren't "shockers" to us as we were well aware in advance :)
Good for a week only
Galway is a great hub to travel out from. It is small so the time you stay varies with the type of traveler you are.
Rubbish there are loads of beaches in Ireland.
We agree, however this is about Galway specifically ☺️
@@jimmyandbabstravelswell you have the Claddagh and prom all way to BlackRock ..that's all you saw but keep going west and there are some amazing beaches still in Galway silverstrand, spiddail an tra mor...dogs bay ..Brittas bay .. corral beech all within an hour from prom....so maybe on next trip..
I agree there are so many great beaches especially on the west coast. My fav is Tullan Strand where we rode horses on the beach! We will continue to visit more when we head back, happy travels!

Why so supprised?? 🤔
The world is a surprising place 😅🙌
My wife and I visited Dublin a couple of years ago. Our biggest shock was that we only met one or two Irish people.
Haha this made me laugh. Yeah, there are lots of tourists in Dublin. I also suspect the locals don’t frequent the places us tourists do. Cheers and happy travels!
@@jimmyandbabstravelsyes us locals actively avoid touristy places in Dublin especially when our workplace is already smack bang in the middle of a touristy place😂.
@@jimmyandbabstravels They're not tourists.
@@fmcm7715 They're not tourists
I’m from Dublin and it full of Dubliners.
Did she say quant ?n😂
Yes she did. Galway could be the definition of quant haha. Cheers and happy travels friend!
Where do they find these fools
We found them in Galway 🙌🙌🙌
Galway, what a rip off of. City. Well, then again, so is the whole of Ireland 😂😂😂
We felt it was comparable to Los Angeles but we’re going to London soon and that’s really going to dent the wallet 😅
