That's true, I grew up on the coast. My father would have me and my siblings swimming at the crack of dawn all year round. He was an Army Officer and put a premium on developing the physical constitution, he did so in a way we found fun with his stories of our forebears the ancient Gaels and the Fianna. Like a fun school class but in the freezing sea under the cold rain 😂

Thanks for the nice video. I was in Galway in March and even then the weather was mild enough to walk around. The streets always were lively and and had reasonably priced food and resturaunts. I choose Galway at random and wanted to get away from busy Dublin.

Discover Wexford in the Sunny South East (Curracloe Beach is seven miles long, wide golden sand beach, dunes, shallow water), are is known for its Strawberries.

Galway is a city, albeit a smallish one. You don't expect a beach in a city However, a few kilometers west outside the city there are beaches.
Don't come to Ireland if you want mediterranean weather. The gulf stream brings milder but wetter weather.

We agree! Ireland does have some amazing beaches along the Wild Atlantic Way (Tullan Strand is a favorite)

Thanks for tuning in! I think because of the season we went there weren’t anyone at the beaches - thus the lack of beachy vibes. I assume things are different in the summer heat. Cheers and happy travels!

It’s been awhile since I was there but I thought then it was a secret tourist spot mama mcdonaghs fish restaurant, Spanish arch, the old churches, the quays pub, the Druid theater, salt hill, the twelve pins, sky road… it was awesome trip!

Enchanted? Galway? Hey the food and the craic is good, very walkable, but fairy tale?
BTW: All the best beaches are way out west. Massive (and often deserted) kilometre long sandy beaches in Mayo, Galway and Clare, but there isn't much in the way of bus services to them. White and Silver Strand beaches in Mayo for example are right at the end of narrow roads, so unless you've got a car you can't get to them. On the other hand, Achill beach is huge, and there is a bus service from Westport.
