My favourite rolling donut is on O'Connell St, there is this tiny little stall they do only about 3 flavours and they are mini-donuts but they cook them fresh right there in front of you. You leave with a piping hot bag of mini-donuts for dirt cheap and it doesn't get much better on a chilly night.
We had our work Christmas party in Dublin, and before I got the bus back west I went, hungover as shit to that rolling donut and got a bag of half sugar, half sugar and cinnamon donuts. It was the best cure. And bonus, kept me warm waiting for the bus 🤣
Got back from Ireland a month ago. we did the ice cream shop. They will give you lots of tastes and will do combo servings. Excellent highly recommend.
I reckon the reason Leo Burdocks is famous is that the one in Rathmines, which is a relatively fancy part of Dublin was visited by so many celebs that were staying in the area in the fancy hotels. McDonaghs in Galway for the win!!
No. The one the celebs go to is not in Rathmines but the original one opposite Christchurch on Werburgh Street. It’s the original location and take away only. However it is also completely overrated, overpriced and should be avoided.
Great review on the good places in Dublin. Good combination of restaurants and cafe's. I have say one thing though, Leo's fish n chips are a little over-rated for what they are. I was there in 95 with 15 Dutch tourists. Not one of them said, perfect, great stuff or anything similar to that. However, the reviews were pretty excellant and a good variety and not the usual, ' great Irish food thing etc'
Bruce Springsteen went to Christchurch outlet last week and does regularly when he is in Dublin, saw him in concert last Sunday in Croke Park, 80,000 people.
Brown bread ice cream is so underappreciated lol. I'm glad that you liked it. I'm from Galway living in Clare but you made me want to visit Dublin. Not for oysters though. Galway wins that one.
All looked well chosen, apart from the mistake with Temple Bar for Burdocks. Chimac is going to get a visit next time I'm in the area. The thing with the pizza to that pub is pretty cool, but far from the norm.
@@jimmyandbabstravels I've had Dublin Pizza a few times, it's decent, but at best a 8/10 rating. My point was regarding getting food from any place, and then going to a pub to eat it. The vast majority of places like a pub, are not going to happy about people bringing in food to eat. That the Black Swan is, is not the normal... you wouldn't expect that elsewhere. You do not want to try bring in pizza boxes into O'Niells, for an example.
My sister lives in Howth so coming from city center, 'be smart, take the dart' to Howth and try Beshoffs. Not to mention, sea air, nice walking options and fisn n chips....a good day out.
ALL Tourists, do not go anyway near Temple Bar unless you're just walking through and want to see it. Its the most expensive fraud in Dublin... Its the worst Irish experience and you would be better off taking your photo and go somewhere else, even a street over. I'm from and live in Dublin. Go anywhere else within 5 minutes and you'll thank me later
As a Dub, I still don't get why the Leo Burdocks in Temple Bar - and any of the other Burdocks' they tried opening throughout the city in the past - have always been so much worse than the original near Christchurch.
The food of Ireland is comfort food. It warms your heart & your stomach & soothes your soul. ❤
We couldn’t agree more ☘️
Always has been since I lived there..
You guys are the cutest! I cant wait until my boyfriend and i go on our own food tour in January 💖

Can you tell where exactly it is?

@@klickeldiklick It's beside Bank of Ireland. Right side of O'Connell street if you're walking from O'Connell bridge.

Love you guy's and love your vlogs. Please keep them coming......👍
Thanks Joe glad you enjoy them!! Stay tuned for more :) Happy Travels!
Looks like a huge portion of delicious looking stew.
Nice! If you liked Etto, you should try their sister restaurant, Uno Mas, which is similar but with more Spanish influences!
We had no idea they had another restaurant! We've added to our list, thank you Augustine!
Good video. Just so people know the pub down the road from The Dublin Pizza Company is The Swan Bar and not The Black Swan as mentioned in the video.
Whoops! Thanks for the correction 🙌

Fair reviews
Thanks for watching and glad you agree! Happy Eats!

Nice!
Correct, Burdocks is Now A Franchise, Christchurch Is The Original, Hasn't Been worth Visiting Since the Early Nineties 😢

We agree, still dreaming about brown bread ice cream! Thanks for watching and happy travels!

We understand that, it was recommended and many others were doing the same. We wouldn’t do that at any pub in general ☺️
Did you try Smithwicks?..lighter than Guinness..Mad Egg do amazing chicken burgers..bunsen and BoBos great burgers..
We did try Smithwicks when we were in Kilkenny! We will need to add these other spots to the list!
Lovely vid. Love PX.
Thanks so much for tuning in Patrick! Cheers and happy travels!
Mad Yolks in Smithfield for the best egg breakfast sandwiches
Whoa I just googled them and that sandwich looks amazing!! 😳🤤 Thanks for tuning in and happy eats Kate!
Don't go near Temple Bar for anything
Why is that?
@@Wgaither1 its an overpriced kip
Maybe the locals go there to go tourist watching 😂
@@donkiernan9407Go round the bars and listen to free music like a lot of tourists do. Dont have to buy a pint.
Not true. Seafood Cafe there is great. Palace Bar too 😊
I prefer Beshoffs Bros for fish and chips..they use rape seed oil so lighter..one on dame street or baggot street or howth..
Just bookmarked that place for next time! Thanks so much for tuning in and the rec. cheers and happy travels friend!

Is the one you went to Gallagher's Boxty House in Temple Bar?
Yes that's the one!
I was waiting to hear what was in the Irish coffee. What is special about Irish coffee? Alcohol?
Haha it’s coffee + Irish whiskey + sugar + cream, but yes it’s mostly the alcohol that makes it special 😂🍻. Cheers and thanks for tuning in Robin!
@@jimmyandbabstravels thank you! We are going in September. Love your suggestions 💕
You can also have baileys cream liquor instead of whiskey
@@brendanward9877 Baileys is handy for making a quick one at home, especially if don't have fresh cream.

I’ll bookmark that pub in case I find myself around there on our next visit. Thanks for the tip!
McCormacks in Naas, Nduja Pizza 👌🏻
We will add it to the list!

🤷🏻♂️
We dont drink irish coffee until after dinner
We found it delicious at all times ☺️
@@jimmyandbabstravels , I agree. The real Macoy is the purest Irish coffee.
You should’ve told us what you were eating
This is a great tip! We haven’t thought about doing that (no idea why) but we’ll start. Thanks!!

Galway for best seafood in they world
