After using the OnePlus 7Pro as my daily driver for three weeks and also using the Samsung S10 for the same time frame... Yeah, I preferred the Samsung S10 for photography, and the OnePlus for everything else!

LG is my secondary device, my main phone is Nokia N95 8GB (device from 2007) and I enjoyed it since I bought it a month ago, because I sold my P20 Pro. It is nice to go offline and not to be occupied with all those unnecessary things online :)
I don't do selfies, I use the camera once in a blue moon, I need fast charging, good screen, fast processing, clean interface... the OnePlus 7 Pro didn't want to pay for the IPX rating, it is waterproof as seen in many videos in RUclips... I'm not planning on going scuba diving with it anyways. This OnePlus 7 Plus is the winner for me and my kind of use... by far.

@@nonethsantos2552 with my kind of use it lasts almost a couple of days, the thing with this phone is that it charges at amazing speed, from 0 to 60% in less than 20 minutes, basically the time one takes to get ready to go out, going number 2, brush teeth, shave, shower, get dressed and get the f out of Dodge... the phone is set to go. I don't do games, I social network a little bit when necessary, don't do selfies but do take pictures of places I find interesting, architecture, natural sceneries, etc. get lots of e-mails, messages WhatsApp, Apps that help my job... I love this phone, I dumped Apple BS for good or at least until they have the common curtesy to give their clients a much better product at a good price and give us a good fast charger included in the box... I doubt they'll do it, they're money mongering a holes and after a decade they lost me as a client.
Watching on my oneplus 1. I remember the days when I had hard time telling my friends about my new oneplus 1. They never heard about the company. They used to ridicule me for buying phone from a new chinese phone company having a funny name. But still its more than 5 years and my OP1 is working just fine. No complains till now. Btw all of my friends have switched atleast 2 phones since 5 years. @@AKG77 Yeah the photos from the S10 are better in the majority of scenes barring the night selfie scenes but I'm not sure it's due to better hardware it's simply better processing.
@@richankdubey1498 check out gcam for s10 series. Where s10 lacks in overexposure, selfies, dynamic range... The gcam makes up for it all (most of the time). And then you can't really have that 123° wide angle with the OP7 by any software, neither the variable aperture of the main sensor. Sure one plus takes the advantage in telephoto and surprises in video stabilization too, but the S10 performs consistently better 9 times out of 10.
I've owned both phones, but I will still rate the OnePlus 7 Pro a lot higher. Oxygen OS and 90hz are great combination features that make super smooth and clean feel. I work at Best Buy and use my phone a lot for specs and product info. In a 8 to 9 hour day, I go home to a 80-75% battery life while having 90hz. With Warp Charge in about 10-15 minutes my phone is completely charged. I ran some experiments on it lol. Never Settle.
I've switched from Samsung after a good few years to the OnePlus. The money for phones these days is silly and this is my main reason for the switch. I did have the S10 for a couple of weeks though to see what I thought, and I have to say, they're both epic phones. But the fluidity and the heavy (preference of mine) feel, along with the change in UI (another preference of mine) and price tag, I won't be regretting my choice. Loved the S10 but I love a change, and some extra cash.
That 90hz display is the main thing that convinced me on the 7 Pro. It's so awesome to use and the super responsive hardware makes it that much better.
I'm a bit concerned considering that if he will use phones that he got a few months ago, it might not make the comparison fair. Batteries degrade overtime so if it's a real comparison everything should be brand new.
@@CM-xd7pn I like ASUS and Gigabyte they make some high quality gaming motherboards with lots of features 👍. I have a Google ASUS Nexus 7 and has been one of my favourite devices. The Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 were some of the first to have wireless charging back in 2013, I reckon the OnePlus Warp charging system is the next big technology 👍.

How about Samsung DEX. A feature that very few reviewrs talk about. A very functional and practical ability to plug in to a monitor/tv and use it like an actual computer. That's some good shit that other phones don't have. Great for work presentaions or just work in general. A pocket PC to plug in to a monitor.
I am a designer coming from an iPhone... currently I'm making a transition to become a Progressive Web App developer ( web-based mobile apps )... The OnePlus 7 makes a lot of sense to me: no notch, beautiful truly all-screen display, amazing OS,, cheaper than the iPhones and Galaxies, fast charging ( warp or whatever ), high performance and it runs the latest version of Android just like the Pixel without the boring design and ugly notch
I would still propably choose S10+ (or even better S10 5G!) but it's really really close and I even wouldn't thought about comparing OnePlus flagship to Samsung one ever before
It's always about the specs.. . But have you considered the price for once? OnePlus 7 Pro offers the same stuff S10+ offers but you pay about 200 euros less for the OnePlus 7 Pro. I could use that money to buy bluetooth earphones or speakers. Also, OP7 Pro is faster than the S10+, charges faster, screen is better, no hole in the screen,etc.
I know right. I am a big fan of Samsung but currently using iPhone X. I think OnePlus has gone really far. They are improving a lot. I am just waiting for an Android fan to be super smooth. The S10 is fast but when you are scrolling on a website it is not as buttery smooth as iPhone X. I want an Android phone that is buttery smooth. Also, I wish Notability app is available on Android since I use that app to take handwritten notes on my iPad pro.

Having used both of these brands, I really have to say most of ppl that prefer samsung haven't really tried to use the OP before. The job they have done these couple of years really shouldnt be overlooked. Especially this year they really have stepped it up with OP 7 pro. I never really like the idea of taking my phone for a swim anyway so "splash" proof is more than enough for me. And I dont really use the wireless charging at least until it is proven to be faster than the cable charging anyway, besides you are still gonna need the power plug to plug in the wireless pod 😂. The experience I have with OP has been outstanding so far especially for its price point. And I dont think I'm gonna switching back unless OP settling down which is very unlikely looking at what they have done these recent years, besides "Never settle" is their main motto right?😁. Keep up the good job Oneplus and you will attract more customer like me who doesnt like to settle down 😋.
Interesting as I am about to purchase one of these and at this moment I think it'll be the OP 7 Pro. Just so you are aware there's plenty of reviews on RUclips that submerge the OP in water for up to 16 minutes, even opening the camera underwater without damage to the phone.
Just sent my S22+ back with it's meh 1080p screen and started using my OnePlus 7 Pro again with a custom Pixel rom and I LOVE how fast it is and no camera dot

Y'all are crazy. Samsung is better in every way except refresh rate and charging speed. Yes one plus is cheaper but you're getting a lesser phone. Samsung has a better display, better os, better battery, water proof, better cameras, better gorilla glass, headphone jack, can expand to a TB of storage, waster wifi which also saves on battery, fast wireless charging, fast reverse wireless charging. very happy with the s10 plus, i got it for 662 Euro's during a huge sale. The camera is important to me and I'm scared that I might use the motorized camera too much on the one plus. My partner is going to buy the one plus though, we'll see how he'll like it.

Excuse me? You can't even see the punch hole on the s10, it's covered by the default wallpaper samsung installed, and if you're gaming or watching vids in landscape mode, your thumb covers the camera.
I dont think anyone could argue that the Samsung software is better, it is noticeably slower, bloated, still has a load of junk add-ons and clutter, looks more Fisher Price than Windows XP, updated less frequently, receives less security updates and is abandoned faster by Samsung. Its better than Touchwiz but still a hot mess of a UI compared to vanilla Google or OnePlus.

@@AKG77 Yeah the photos from the S10 are better in the majority of scenes barring the night selfie scenes but I'm not sure it's due to better hardware it's simply better processing.
@@richankdubey1498 check out gcam for s10 series. Where s10 lacks in overexposure, selfies, dynamic range... The gcam makes up for it all (most of the time).
And then you can't really have that 123° wide angle with the OP7 by any software, neither the variable aperture of the main sensor.
Sure one plus takes the advantage in telephoto and surprises in video stabilization too, but the S10 performs consistently better 9 times out of 10.
I've owned both phones, but I will still rate the OnePlus 7 Pro a lot higher. Oxygen OS and 90hz are great combination features that make super smooth and clean feel. I work at Best Buy and use my phone a lot for specs and product info. In a 8 to 9 hour day, I go home to a 80-75% battery life while having 90hz. With Warp Charge in about 10-15 minutes my phone is completely charged. I ran some experiments on it lol. Never Settle.

I've switched from Samsung after a good few years to the OnePlus. The money for phones these days is silly and this is my main reason for the switch. I did have the S10 for a couple of weeks though to see what I thought, and I have to say, they're both epic phones. But the fluidity and the heavy (preference of mine) feel, along with the change in UI (another preference of mine) and price tag, I won't be regretting my choice. Loved the S10 but I love a change, and some extra cash.

@@CM-xd7pn I like ASUS and Gigabyte they make some high quality gaming motherboards with lots of features 👍. I have a Google ASUS Nexus 7 and has been one of my favourite devices. The Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 were some of the first to have wireless charging back in 2013, I reckon the OnePlus Warp charging system is the next big technology 👍.

@@jakobgrene5905 the OnePlus 7 with 8GB Ram 256GB storage is good all rounder, ok the AMOLED screen is only FHD 1080p but still a crisp screen and battery life, UFS 3.0 storage is another great first.

How about Samsung DEX. A feature that very few reviewrs talk about. A very functional and practical ability to plug in to a monitor/tv and use it like an actual computer. That's some good shit that other phones don't have. Great for work presentaions or just work in general. A pocket PC to plug in to a monitor.

I am a designer coming from an iPhone... currently I'm making a transition to become a Progressive Web App developer ( web-based mobile apps )... The OnePlus 7 makes a lot of sense to me: no notch, beautiful truly all-screen display, amazing OS,, cheaper than the iPhones and Galaxies, fast charging ( warp or whatever ), high performance and it runs the latest version of Android just like the Pixel without the boring design and ugly notch

It's always about the specs.. . But have you considered the price for once? OnePlus 7 Pro offers the same stuff S10+ offers but you pay about 200 euros less for the OnePlus 7 Pro. I could use that money to buy bluetooth earphones or speakers. Also, OP7 Pro is faster than the S10+, charges faster, screen is better, no hole in the screen,etc.
I know right. I am a big fan of Samsung but currently using iPhone X. I think OnePlus has gone really far. They are improving a lot. I am just waiting for an Android fan to be super smooth. The S10 is fast but when you are scrolling on a website it is not as buttery smooth as iPhone X. I want an Android phone that is buttery smooth. Also, I wish Notability app is available on Android since I use that app to take handwritten notes on my iPad pro.
@@Nevvalth S10+ in lot of places can be had for the same amount of money like OP7 Pro or even less, also Op7 isn't faster, look for example on speed test g, most objective one, Op charges faster but it doesn't have wireless charging , S10+ has better screen (but slower one), because of hole in the screen it has IP68 which is good compromise

Having used both of these brands, I really have to say most of ppl that prefer samsung haven't really tried to use the OP before. The job they have done these couple of years really shouldnt be overlooked. Especially this year they really have stepped it up with OP 7 pro. I never really like the idea of taking my phone for a swim anyway so "splash" proof is more than enough for me. And I dont really use the wireless charging at least until it is proven to be faster than the cable charging anyway, besides you are still gonna need the power plug to plug in the wireless pod 😂. The experience I have with OP has been outstanding so far especially for its price point. And I dont think I'm gonna switching back unless OP settling down which is very unlikely looking at what they have done these recent years, besides "Never settle" is their main motto right?😁. Keep up the good job Oneplus and you will attract more customer like me who doesnt like to settle down 😋.
Interesting as I am about to purchase one of these and at this moment I think it'll be the OP 7 Pro. Just so you are aware there's plenty of reviews on RUclips that submerge the OP in water for up to 16 minutes, even opening the camera underwater without damage to the phone.

Just sent my S22+ back with it's meh 1080p screen and started using my OnePlus 7 Pro again with a custom Pixel rom and I LOVE how fast it is and no camera dot
Amazing phone but that motorised camera... I'm still very unsure. Missing that headphone jack, the IP rating and poor Gorrila Glass 5 screen... I'm gonna pass.
Same I really like OnePlus back then but you're getting an incomplete package for $750. The only thing I like on this phone is 90hz display which all phone must have.

Y'all are crazy. Samsung is better in every way except refresh rate and charging speed. Yes one plus is cheaper but you're getting a lesser phone. Samsung has a better display, better os, better battery, water proof, better cameras, better gorilla glass, headphone jack, can expand to a TB of storage, waster wifi which also saves on battery, fast wireless charging, fast reverse wireless charging. So I don't know what you're smoking but it's not helping you haha

very happy with the s10 plus, i got it for 662 Euro's during a huge sale. The camera is important to me and I'm scared that I might use the motorized camera too much on the one plus. My partner is going to buy the one plus though, we'll see how he'll like it.

Arguably better software in regards to one ui, and dark mode. Better camera imo, but a horrid hole punch on screen with a headphone jack. At 899 euro.
Imo if u dont care about a headphone jack then one plus all the way if u do and u dont want to sell your body parts to own a mobile but still want one id probably wait for "lenovo z6 pro" or "oppo reno 10x zoom". The oppo is all screen but a bit more expensive and lenovo is cheaper with a teardrop notch both have flagship spec
Excuse me? You can't even see the punch hole on the s10, it's covered by the default wallpaper samsung installed, and if you're gaming or watching vids in landscape mode, your thumb covers the camera.
I dont think anyone could argue that the Samsung software is better, it is noticeably slower, bloated, still has a load of junk add-ons and clutter, looks more Fisher Price than Windows XP, updated less frequently, receives less security updates and is abandoned faster by Samsung. Its better than Touchwiz but still a hot mess of a UI compared to vanilla Google or OnePlus.
