Hello! This is the first time in a long time I've done anything of this sort, so it's pretty messy, I know. But I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I can't believe it's been a year since everything went down though, time flies.

I was on the CR discord and I mentioned I'd bought the new mcfarlane molly figure and someone asked about it cause they're not caught up so they didn't get the ad in episode 101. I gave them a link and asked what episode they were on and they said "Oh, I'm just starting 26." And I'm just thinking "Oh god, I can't talk to this person for awhile. I can't save them from this, I just have to watch the train crash."
And like eight hours later they come back online and they're like "You knew. You knew and you didn't say anything!"
I've had to quietly sit there and wait for friends to learn the truth. It's painful, but necessary

One of the small things I love is the fact that Molly has such a big amount of hair that he stiled it like the queen he was...
I miss him, dear gods I miss him so much and this made me silently cry for 30 minutes, such a cute art style for such an emotional animatic. Molly was a great character and even if Cad is great or even if his death was necessary for the rest to understand the consecuenses of the future.....it still hurts so much that the man that made...that tried to make everything and everyone feel better had to leave the group so early and so suddenly.
Long may he rain, the flamboyant purple demon, the man that made a whole group of people in different parts of the world laugh, cry and learn with each of his actions.
havent even watched it yet but im SO Stoked to see this because I was literally listening to this song yesterday and going "this would make a good mollymauk song" [now ill watch]
Wait, I thought this song was made for MollyMauk... it fits so perfectly, even the big sister thing is something I'd see Molly saying. I didn't even remotely think it wasn't a fan made song for Critical Role. Only thing that was odd was the Ayano thing at the beginning.
I like to think that Molly is watching their adventures and laughing at all the dumb stuff they do and crying with them for all the sad stuff.

Okay Now I've watched it- holy shit this is amazing!!! You did the entire song in such beautiful imagery, all the transitions, the editing of the 'too perfect' audio, the accent of red UGh. This is brilliant!! I love your design of Molly too, this makes me so emotional but its so so perfect. Amazing work buddy!

I just saw his death a few days ago. I, for whatever reason, couldn't physically manifest my emotions. During this, I was weeping. But still no tears. My tears never work like they should.
Same, I was at work and couldn't actively emote the way I wanted so I just had to stand there biting my lip for a good couple hours so I didn't bust out crying.
This time, the Mighty Nein are going to be big sisters.

Molly WAS the Mighty Nein to me. He was their heart and soul. Through him a band of random adventurers became friends and then a family. "I left every town better than I found it" not just towns, circus man, not just towns
Every time I come to this video it makes me cry. I've recently had the roughest year of my life. My family split apart after 11 years together, followed by one of my best friends since middle school dying in his sleep. This song with the animatic are just so wonderful and make me think of how I always make sure to stay strong through the worst of it for the sake of my family and friends. It really just helps to get this off my chest. Thank you for making this beautiful animatic and showing me this song, it really has helped me get through some of the worst parts of these recent times.

Oh my goodness...this is criminally underrated, and so much hardwork was put into this gem of an animatic! What art program did you use, as well as editing program? Like I said, this is just so well crafted on so many levels!!!!
ahh thank you!! I sketched all the shots in storyboarder, cleaned the sketches up in clip studio paint, and just kind of threw the whole thing together in imovie since I didn't have any better editing programs. I'm glad you liked it!!

I don't know why I connected with a character so much but I still get choked up over Molly. I think since we had such a short amount of time with him that it gave us more to imagine on our own. Filling in the gaps of his character with the things we love most.

Odd body proportions for Jester and Fjord aside, this was a pretty cute video.
sorry, odd how? this thing's a few months old now, so I just scrubbed through it to check, but I can't see any super glaring mistakes on those two compared to the rest.
@@lucdrawsthings5786 Jester and Fjord's official artwork has them as being fairly fit, not overweight.
@@yuui9183 yes, I know? I've seen their official art. likewise, molly's has him with short hair, no lip piercing, a completely different coat, etc. I changed all of them up a fair bit from their canon looks. they're not the official designs, so there's no harm in giving them different body types.
@@lucdrawsthings5786 ...But only Fjord and Jester were drastically different, which is why I said their proportions were odd. I never said that it was wrong for you to do so, merely commenting on the dissonance on those specific characters.
@@yuui9183 fair enough. odd made me think I'd made some major anatomy fumble with them at first since it seemed negatively phrased, my mistake. sorry if I came off aggressively or anything!

I started campaign 2 knowing what was going to happen and told myself I wouldn't get attached. Not 4 or 5 episodes in he was quickly my favorite and felt very real. It made every wonderful moment so much better and yet bittersweet at the same time.

A nice moment in campaign 2 could be Caleb casting Contact Other Planes to ask something and Mollys voice is heard, of course answering in a typical Mollymauk fashion.
It's just a nice thought I had while listening to this. That would be a nice and bittersweet moment.

A week ago my friend killed himself, and I tried to be hard and unfeeling for everybody's sake, but now...
I just remember how he and Molly are like each other, two agent of chaos that are smilling trying to make people happy, even though they are in so much pain.
And like with Molly and the Might, me and my friends couldn't do a thing to help.
I'm so sorry to hear that. Losing a loved one like that is always a horrible experience, and I don't think there's anything I could tell you as a complete stranger that could truly help. But bottling things up for the sake of others isn't fair to you; you deserve to grieve as you need to as well. I hope that you're able to find peace after this horrible experience, and please reach out to those around you that you love if things become too much. No one should have to shoulder this sort of grief alone.
