My grandparents were from Mt Hersey area and I love the Newton Co area. People need to be careful because getting lost in the hills and falling off a cliff at night in Gene Rush would be easy. Cell Service doesn’t work too well out there. I’m Army Jungle trained and can say it’s a prerequisite and a requirement to get away from the crowd. Leave a crude map of where you’re expecting to be in your truck just in case SAR needs to find you.

Hunted the Ozarks last year and everyone must have watched this! Got walked in on about ten times in two weeks. We were one to two miles deep in some spots. Absolutely beautiful country!

You got walked in on because of the simple 12:53 hunters are locked out at gates. You can only walk so far. Everyone is walking ING the same distance. They end up on top of each other. In short, the game and fish have done nothing to help the hunters. One, with antler restrictions. 2. With locking gates keeping hunters from using the roads that go deep into the forest. Antler restrictions. To many, does, and spikes that can't be shot. When we as bow hunters want to shoot does or spike fo meat. And to use up tags on our license. But can't shoot them. 3 spikes should always be open season for bow hunters. 4 on wildlife management on Lake Weddington. There should be bow turkey season because it's a bowhunting area. It's been closed to turkey season. For at least 40 years. Why? Why aren't the gates open to vehicles during hunting season? especially to bow hunters. Thanksgiving, bowhunters should be allowed to kill turkeys in the fall for Thanksgiving.

You guys - the game and fish are consertrating on big antlers. It's not about that or mature deer. Another thing " ETHICS. " Hunting deer with electronics - with trail camera's. Why are you guys allowing people to use these cameras, period. It's unethical. By allowing that you take away allthe deers protective senses. You take away his, sight his hearing, his smell. You allow the camer to leave him with absolutely no protection. You guys need to outlaw them.

My cousin and I are coming to hunt AR for the first time in November. Avid hunters who have visited AR and fell in love with it. Planning to camp in Piney Creek WMA and hunt near the Buffalo Mountains. Only e-scouted and hoping to get in deep and put on some miles on foot. Thanks for the great information and love the channel. New subscriber!

@@amacoutdoors We had an amazing time! We ended up getting three deer. It was such a fun hunt. We found a good camp site and we were able to hunt by foot from camp. I'd love to go back in the future, but in 2022 I'll be going back to my cabin in Michigan.

The biggest bucks in Arkansas might reside on public land but it's not a Arkansas Game and Fish Commission controlled property....

Some good stuff here. I’ve grown up hunting the ozarks and have been for the better part of 25 years. There’s still some really good bucks out there however I feel the antler restriction rule should be put back in place for adults. The sheer number of yearling bucks being harvested by adults is staggering. When the whole camp hunts for 2 weeks during the gun season and sees nothing but does and spikes then there’s an issue. Early - mid 2000’s was some of the best hunting I’d ever witnessed after the ‘98 antler restriction was enforced.

Any legal deer is any legal deer in my opinion, the goal is filling the freezer not collecting inedible antlers. A big rack is just an extra cherry on top, not the goal to me

I've lived within 3 miles of sylamore what for over 60 years have killed many deer on it it has some great bucks I would recommend the west end for trophy bucks have seen 24 inch spreads come from the area lot of acorn potential along hwy 341 walking wilderness area along the buffalo . On the east half the forest service has slashed and devastated 50-60,000 acres of oak forest in the last 3 years .arkansas game and fish does not manage food plots and old field systems like they did in the 80s, 90sand early 2000s they had 200 plots scattered over 170000 acres

I'm old and have lived in and hunted Arkansas for over fifty years. Reality is that we heard some descent information here, but we also heard Game and Fish speak. Arkansas is managed by the decision makers, like the Game and Fish Commission, for numbers in the harvest and not for mature deer. The total percentage of mature deer is quite small and for obvious reasons, namely, the gun season lands during the peak of the rut. There are excellent deer numbers across the public land in the state, but make no mistake, mature bucks are very far and few between.

Hey, I’m not sure I’ve never hunted that one, but I would say if it’s late season, find the thickest tickets they have in there as far away from pressure as you can get

Basically anyone watching this is after big bucks. This came up on my feed and kinda irritated me in a way is the only reason I’m watching. I just don’t get why you all put out information about where the biggest bucks are found on public. Just get out there and explore and find your own spots. All these hunting channels are like we just want to help people… no you just wanting to grow your channel for your own benefit. Whether it’s good info or not when people watch crap like this they want to go check out these places. My old hunting spots are getting overrun by outsiders thanks to stuff like this.

@chocolategravyandbiscuits8418 it's helped me tremendously, no one in my family hunts, had no knowledge of anything hunting related, my buddy got me into it at 18 years old or so, and I've learned just about everything I know from youtube and online research, not everyone has family's that has hunted for generations and have it down to a science, my favorite youtuber is whitetail habitat solutions, so in my case and plenty others, youtube has been an amazing tool for me to learn, you definitely have to be careful about who you get your info from though

It probably doesn’t net 160 but it was 160 goss at the time he killed it, but I didn’t score it myself, anyway it’s a trophy buck in any state.thanks for the comment
