Monster buck in anyone's woods. Congrats man. Nice shot. Just curious why you waited so long? I did that to a really good buck one time and when I finally decided to take him, something spooked him and never saw him again.
I had no intention of shooting a deer on this hunt. I had been chasing this particular deer with a bow for 2 years. I can’t explain the feeling I had when he stepped out having a rifle in my hand. I was shocked, texting my dad, and I honestly didn’t know what to do. If you listen closely you can hear me flick the safety off several times when it seemed like the buck was going to booger. I finally received a text from my dad that said something along the lines of “SHOOT HIM OR ELSE!!!!” So I took a silent second to thank this bruiser for putting on an epic show and squeezed off!
@@medskerh22 Buck fever was probably a factor also lol. I'm 76 and in my younger years (50's), it happened to me a lot. Shake like leaves on a tree in the wind. lol
@@easttexan2933 It doesn’t take much for me lol i have adrenaline up to my ears just shooting squirrels! Old wise slick heads get me worked up more than anything
A hot doe killed that buck. I think he knew something was off as soon as he stepped out. We had deer underneath the stand and downwind behind us. Maybe that was enough to keep him calm. Who knows
This is not a navigable stream. It’s a lake that holds water after the river floods. It’s about 12” deep in the middle and you can walk all the way around it
