Having naturally curly hair does help get a tighter and more long-lasting curl... even if your hair is straightened, it will not have the same result as someone will naturally curly hair. We hold any type of curl better (i.e. curl wand, curling iron, waves, etc. Our hair tends to hold close to it's most natural shape, because of the bonds in the hair guide it. That's why people with straight hair have to go above and beyond to hold a curl (that still falls flat over time) and curly hair always has to be done with love and care to keep it from reverting back to curly.

I do this to my 2b 2c waves, they are in transition and very ugly and limp on their own.(recovering from heat and chemical damage) I just use bigger sections because I know my hair can hold a curl and I'm lazy. I do this every wash day and it lasts for more than a week and I wash my hair once a week. I do this because I like curlier hair and if I can take 10 mins once a week to have curls like this than hell yeah I'll do it!

But why didnt you use the rollers on your real hair? Why a wig? It would be a better quality video if you decided to use your curly hair with the rollers curly hair.

if your hair is naturally straight that’s why, your supposed to put hair spray after since it’s straight hair
Leave it in for longer maybe 4 hours before taking them off or use heat

lil chicken back when I had 2c long hair I've done twist outs a few times and it gave some really nice curls so for wavy hair I def would try it.
