Excellent video............. a very detailed explanation on repotting into a larger container. Your soil mixture looks great.

Is fuyu a fragile tree to transplant it into the ground? It’s in a 15 gallons size pot for 2 yrs now. Is it best to do it during Dormancy?

No, I don't think so. I assume your tree is established with a decent root system since it is in the pot for 2 years. Yes, the best time for most plants to transplant is fall to early spring when they are still during dormancy. But keep in mind, since it is not an active growing season, be careful not to damage the root ball when transplanting. With compost and manure as a base fertilizers will help a lot for the next growing season. I will also probably transplant my trees into the ground this fall. Good luck. 👍

When u say don’t damage the root ball, u mean like, carefully taking it out from the pot and straight to the hole and not to disturb the roots? Thank you!

@asondareyes5482 Yes, I will. Yes, basically. I'm not sure whether your roots tangle or not, just like root bound. If yes, usually you need to loosen up the soil to let roots spread so they are easy to adapt to the new environment. In these case, it is easy to break some roots. So, if your root system is pretty good, it will not hurt a lot. Otherwise, you really do not want to cause damages to the roots since in the fall and winter he plant goes into dormancy. It also depends on where you live, especially live in some cold areas. Hopefully, it's helpful.
