It's so fantastic but I feel like it got a real good amount of praise when it came out, it didn't go unnoticed at all, especially the gore system. It got a lot of publicity.
honestly this DLC isn’t necessarily bad if you view it as a off-shoot! The Dead Island 2 Story is very much a love letter to Lucio Fulci’s Zombie (There’s a lot going on within the story narrative more so then the previous two main line games) When people say that DI2 had no story it calls into question how much A.D.D. that critic has! this expansion has a very interesting story concept (If you take Eyes Wide Shut, 2001 A Space Odyssey & Fulci’s Beyond blend them together DI2 Haus would be the finished product but, it muddies up the main games story Maybe it’s meant to be like Alice in Wonderland or Wizard of Oz?? (It would make more sense if the story DLC was nothing more then a hallucination or a dream) who knows maybe it’s meant to be since you find the invitation by lawn chairs then after you finish the DLC you wind up back at the Lawn chairs (If that’s the case within Haus it’s actually sort of brilliant)
@@dollface2907I love that feature but they need to expand storage options so I can at least keep 1 of each of the most rare/legendary weapons, I don’t like breaking apart a weapon that I modded and I love
The best part in my books is basically the fact you can *finally* use all those cool Uniques in an actual story setting instead of those final "end game" left overs after you finish the main storyline.
Lacking: 1)Chance for More LV's like previous 2 Games. 2)More Legendary Weapon Variants, Heck not even a Legendary Crossbow Bruh. 3)More End Game Content. 4)FOR FECK SAKE NOT EVEN A NEW GAME PLUS!
I seriously love this game, but I was underwhelmed with the DLC. The Cult was interesting. Then, it seems to take a weird turn into "What the heck?" only because Evil/Strange/potentially Demonic Cult doesn't seem to go with the outcome at the end of the DLC. In order to avoid spoilers, I won't tell the end of the DLC. However, I will say that it didn't seem to make any sense at all to me how this Cult went from their "trials" and drug houses to the final section. The outcome seemed strange. I wasn't a fan of it, honestly. I can't see myself wanting to play through it again in another playthrough of Dead Island 2. I hope the next DLC makes a bit more sense narratively.
That was my main issue as well. A lot of wtf story wise.. like why have this weird cult that tortures people, makes them eat their own limbs, kills people then all of the sudden. "Oh I'm A.I I'm the good guy I'm saving humanity... then what the fuck was with all the cult stuff? Idk if was so off putting, and like why they gotta do hope dirty like that.. but she's.. alive with the other A.I people? Idk man idk
Wished they added attacks/ mechanics unique to the bosses the cutscenes hyped me up just to get thrown into basically the same interaction youll have w a screamer/crusher in freeroam just a little more tanky
The Deeper was the best thing to come from the game. Sadly it became a husk after the escape mission....no music no visuals. Just darkness. Annnnd of course no one has OST of it yet
I actually really enjoyed the story here, the themes or tackles, and the implications of how this affects the wider story. I reject this narrative that DO had bad story, I think people just don't pay attention to it.
Leaving the main story as a cliffhanger and having its DLC be something not even tied to it shows expected results from the fans. Hell, look at bloody ties DLC of Dying Light 2 and how it went on that game. lmao
Base game was good loved it this xpack tho sucked i was literally going along doing my thing and it apparently just ended and after the end i have absolutely no idea what was happening other than a guy in a cult might have turn himself into a computer... and you know it was only like 2 or 3 hrs long.
@@bombyo3634 Dying light has a good thrill of zombies being a threat, Dead island at this point isn’t about Zombies, more of a dumb cult with no boss fight, no added storyline, and lack of exploration. Trash game
@@joshslater1422 Yeah that’s true.
