  • Today, we go to 1 Samuel 24:1-22, where David has already been anointed King, but the current King, Saul, is perusing David to kill him. At a moment where David could have "forced" God's blessing by killing King Saul and become King, we see David spare King Saul instead...
Why should we wait for God's blessings? Why shouldn't we "force" blessings when they seem to be there for the taking? Watch and listen to today's sermon "Waiting On God" to find out.

Yes, Saul was sleeping in the cave when David crept up from behind being located deeper within the cave. Also, I was taught in Sunday School class and elsewhere that David the Shepard was anointed at 15 years old, and became the true King David of Israel around the age of approximately 30 years old.

He was not pooping but sleeping... 0:54 it was 15 years after being anointed when David became king, not 20. Awesome sermon by the way.

Wonderful sermon - but God does abandon us, he does reject us, just look at Saul, Samson, Moses, etc.

Why are you shouting and not speaking? I simply cant listen to you eventhough your message can be good, but because you are talking down to me. You seem arrogant to mee, you dont have to shout, im not deaf...

Hi Frank, thanks for the comment!
In all honesty, Pastor Jeff is not the kind of guy to "talk down" to anyone, in person or in our large sanctuary. He is very passionate and convicted when it comes down to The Word of God, and we can see how it can be taken as shouting.
We hope this clears any misunderstanding, and that his excitement is better understood as passion rather than shouting.
      God Bless,
      Crossroads~
