Jesus isnt God because who was he praying to why would God pray to himself if he is the one with the power to make it happen and also who's voice was it from heaven WHILE Jesus was on earth saying "this is my son listen to him". When my grandma (who is saved) passed away, I was reminded of David when his first son passed away. Two completely situations of him losing a son and my grandma passing away, but we both had the same outlook and knowledge of seeing them again someday. I used to think that that scripture refereed to Davids Warrior Capacity and how He guarded God's people just like He guarded his earthly father's sheep. Fearlessness and Vigilance comes to mind.

But Jesus ran his ministry only for 3 years, instead of 40.

For those who don't know...David had 8 wives. His firstborn son was Amnon, by his 3rd wife. Amon received his father's permission to have his half sister, Tamara, attend to him in his chambers. There, Ammon raped her. King David did nothing to punish Amnon...so 2 years later Tamaras true brother, Absolom kills Amnon, then flees from King David's rule. A seer foretold the evil that would fall upon David when he took Bathsheba for himself and had her husband killed when he sent him to the front lines of war! None of this includes son Solomons fate. We know David's house was completely divided and torn apart. I'm not at all sure what the Lord saw in him except accountability for his repeated adultery and other sins.

Scripture states that God will give us a heart of flesh along with a new spirit. Is this new heart then, a heart like God's? I would think so as we also are reborn then with a new spirit that is able to enter Heaven...anyone have some thoughts or insight on this?

Because when King David made mistakes and sinned. He didn't make any kind of excuses for it. Even though he knew that he would get punished by God for it. Also King David when he sinned he made it a point to right that wrong and made in atonement and did Humble himself and knowing That the punishment of God can be Harsh. But he also knew that also God can be also Merciful too. But all in all he put himself in the Hands of God regardless of the punishment that God was going to give him. King David took full Responsibility for his own actions. And that is why God said That King David was after His own Heart. And that goes contrary to what is happening in this Nation and the society at Large where many will make excuses for the wrongs that they do. And they will blame others for there own sort comings. But God knows one's heart and mind if you truly have repented not just you say that you are sorry just because you got caught. So God knew that David sincerely repented so that is Why God Loved David so much. And it does not matter who you are. A King or a Pauper ? God has no Respecter of Persons. When he Blesses He is going to bless , and when He curses you he's going to curse you meaning he will allow bad things or Calamity to fall upon you. And if he punish you , then he will punish you. and if He wants to Have Mercy upon you , then He will have Mercy upon you. And if He finds Grace with you , then Grace shall be unto you.
