Paul Nicholas now looks like a cross between Brian Murphy from George and Mildred and Lionel Jefferies as Grandpa Potts from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It’s hard to believe he used to be a heartthrob back in the day, my mum used to fancy him when he was in Just Good Friends.
He aged terribly, when I saw him as Gavin Sullivan in Eastenders I thought WTF happened. Maybe Blonds age more too, just like Red Heads tend to age more as well. But I was sad to see him age so poorly, loved Just Good Friends.
Just Good Friends, what a series! I remember a scene with Paul in bed with Jan Francis (who played Penny) and made a joke about her having the Spurs team! Then he started singing "Spurs are on their way to Wembley " funny as ...
Good quiz. I had to satisfy myself with remembering their characters rather than real names in the time allowed......you were spot on about Luton Airport!
I remember being in London outside the Savoy Hotel one sunny Sunday about three years back. I was waiting for my friend called Heinz Von Furstenberg ( or Pete to his friends ) While waiting for him I heard a voice behind me say "Excuse me, but could you please hold this for me for a moment". As I turned around I saw this rather small woman, in her late 80's or so. She had bright red lipstick and a dark wig. See looked familiar to me then it suddenly came to me, I bent down and said to her " Are you Joan Collins ". Wirh a sparkle in her eye she gave me a lovely smile and said " no, my names Berryl and I'm a cleaner....now give me back my mop".
"Little trickier for #15.." That's literally the one that I would have spotted from across the road. Some of them are obvious because the people don't look all that different. But even though that one does look different, it's ridiculously obvious considering how much time I spent with her in the 1980's. My bedroom wall was plastered with her pictures.
Brilliant Stu. 😅 thank you. Lots of the stars still look amazing. Still very recognisable despite being much older, with exception of Paul Nicholas and I think it was because he has lost his very distinctive curly hair. I had no idea who he was.😳
26 out of 30. The ones I didn't get were Paul Nicholas, Karl Howman, Colin Baker and Peter Dean as I never followed "Eastenders". Paul Nicholas looks like a completely different person! Bobby Davro and Michael Aspel look great for their ages. Very enjoyable quiz, Stu.
Nice score Carole. I think it's the distinct lack of hair that makes Paul Nicholas look so different now. That curly mop he had in the 70s and 80s must be ingrained in our memories! Glad you enjoyed the quiz.
27 out of 30. Not too shabby! Didn't get Stephanie Powers, Robert Wagner & Catherine Bach. Wasn't much of a fan of 'Hart To Hart' or 'Dukes Of Hazzard'. Excellent quiz though! Who'd have thought that 80s 'Lovejoy' star Ian McShane would go on to have a massive Hollywood career, starring in such blockbusters as the 'John Wick' series of films.
15 was a no, no, as was 19. I confess that most of the names escaped me but I did recognise them from their later years. Those eyes of Sharon gless were totally mesmerising.
No 16 Stephanie - OH MY I did not recognise her - has she had some ‘work done’?? I got no 19 as Paul No 20 did not watch the DOfH Seeing these people I feel old ha ha ❤️❤️☝️☝️🤩🤩🏴🏴
I timed out on many when I couldn't remember their real names, although most were recognisable. The one who I thought was someone else was a real shock - number 19 Paul Nicholas. Anyway, were you truly wafted in from paradise - no, Luton Airport! It makes me realise that I have aged too!
That was a lot of fun. Many I recognized and recalled their name easily and some I recognized but couldn't recall their name before the time was up. That's the senility approaching I guess. A couple I made hilarious mistakes on. I thought Griff Rhys Jones was Hugh Grant and Jimmy Nail I mistook for Harry Dean Stanton. The biggest shocker of all was how much Paul Nicholas has aged. WOW!
Another great quiz Stuview. A bit trickier this one was. I got 2 wrong :( Number 11- Ted Danson as I Never Watched Cheers. And Number 15- Glynis Barber from Dempsey & Makepeace. I must admit She still looks fantastic though!
Some of those were very tricky. Like others, I could remember the face and the show, but not the name. Detox January taking its toll. I’m sure it’s supposed to work the other way though 🤔
Got 23. 24 if I could remember the name of funnily enough, number 24.. Was also surprised at #19. He looks like the Paul Whitehouse character from the Fast Show. Buggah!
80s Stars ✨ Then and Now Quiz: 19/30. I had to pause at number 6 before I recognised Ian McShane. I thought 15) was Jenny Hanley🤦♀️ and I recognised Cagney and Lacey, but couldn’t remember their proper names...I only got Robert Wagner, as Stefanie Powers was 16, which I didn’t get...!! Thanks Stu, for another interesting Quiz🤔
I'd never have ever guessed that was Dawn French, and as others have said, Paul Nicholas looks a lot like Brian Murphy these days. But can I give a shout out to Peter Dean, remembered for his role as Pete Beale in Eastenders. He gave a brilliant performance as Jack Lynn, a criminal in GF Newman's excellent 'Law and Order', which is available on bbc iplayer. If you've never seen it please do yourself a favour
Some I had no idea who they are (Even when their name is on screen) some I just couldn't remember their name, and some I got instantly, but either way, it was a good quiz.😀
Bit late to this, sorry. I actually did really well this time! Got my two favourite Doctors in there I see, just missing Sylv for the hat-trick! There were a couple of, "Oh, it's thingy! Err, what's-his-name!" again. Did well up to the mid-point then fell off a cliff, I only really recognise the men, but then mostly the British ones, I struggle with the Americans. Did get Mr.T though, so no-one's pitying this fool! And the Hoff because... Well, let's say that I watched Knight Rider a lot as kid. A. Lot. Hehe!

First thought in my mind was 'Brian Murphy..?'
@@BarryFrancis So did I.

15. I was born in 1981 too so knew a few of them so glad I got to 50%. Even I thought Paul Nicolas was Brian Murphy!!
There is a certain resemblance there now that Paul is older!
Good quiz. I had to satisfy myself with remembering their characters rather than real names in the time allowed......you were spot on about Luton Airport!
Amazing how the Luton Airport catchphrase has remained in our memories all this time.
If I'd got a point for guessing "Oh yeah that's whatsisname!", I'd have scored really well! Where did my memory go!😂😂
😄
Excellent Stu. Great quiz as usual. 26 correct. Had trouble with the US actors, my kryptonite!
Thanks as always Jan! That's a great score you got there.
12. I recognised more than I could put a name to.
Had to guess who mr t was by showing a picture of mr t 😂
Number 19(PN) has turned into George Roper !!
There is a resemblance there!
I was shocked when it was revealed to be Paul Nicholas. I even thought of the Inspector from on the buses but didn't think he was still with us.
I got 💯% ✔✍🏾👏🏽👏🏽
@@aegisltd2018 Top stuff!
@@stuviewtv Exactly who I thought it was too. He didn't age well. And regarding the others, I was surprised how many I knew.
I bloody love this channel.

Paul Nicolas would really profit from removing all his head hair (all those grey stringy bits) and a wee bit of a sun tan!
I think the hair may be like that at the moment as he is playing the Major in the current Fawlty Towers stage show in the West End.
@@stuviewtv He is, I just googled it, it really looks okay, just older.

Yes, it's probably because we always think of him with that mass of curly hair that he looks so different now. Thanks as always Andrea!
Great quiz, as per usual. Surprised about how many I missed. Thank you, again.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks as always.
25/30 missed out on Ted Danson, Glynis Barber, Catherine Bach, Colin Baker and Peter Dean. Great quiz as always Stu.
Nice score Julie! Thanks as always!

Thought Robert Wagner was a chef from Pebble Mill. Funny how Joan, Stefanie and Linda have not aged at all. Must be something in the LA water.
There's definitely something to that Hollywood lifestyle.
Paul Nicholas is the only one that got me stumped. Another enjoyable quiz/video.
He does look very different now he is older. Glad you enjoyed the quiz! Thanks.
@@stuviewtv The TVS sound intro always puts a smile on my face when watching your videos.
@ Fantastic. It's very nostalgic.
MR T has ages well. I thought you'd put the photos the wrong way around. Really enjoy these Quizzes
He does still look very good for someone now in their seventies. Must be all the milk he drank in The A Team!
If you'd have stopped at 15 I would have a perfect score.
As it is, I got 13 wrong. 😢 Great quiz. 👍
A fantastic start! Glad you enjoyed it.

26/30 was completely bamboozled by Catherine Bach and Karl Howman 😆

Amazing how that Luton Airport line has remained in our memories all these years!
Some of them lasses have had some work done.
Ssssshhhh...😉
Yes I was playing my own game of guess what work they’ve had done 😂
Like a few others I was mumbling the characters they were known for rather than their names in most cases.
Makes it even more difficult with the time ticking away too!

Woo Hoo I got 7 this time lol

I got most of those. Took me a while to get Glynis Barber but misseed Sharon Gless, although I got Tyne Daly straight off!
Definitely a luton airport moment
Glynis Barbar of Dempsey and Makepeace still rather attractive.
Absolutely. She still looks amazing.
It’s so Annoying as you know who they are but can’t put a name too them! Got a few though!

20/30
Luton Airport - Ooh-weee-ooh
28/30 Tripped up on 19 and 20.
